This is a really cool little store. If you're like me and dominant chain stores rub you the wrong way and you feel obligated to search out smaller, more individual alternatives, Battery City may be the kind of place for you. It's basically a little hole in the wall with an interior that doesn't try and sell to you. They either have what you're looking for or they don't, all you have to do is ask.

I've only been here once which is why I only give 4 stars - I'm not knowledgeable enough about how extensive their selection is. I easily got what I was looking for: a battery for my MiniDV camera at a good price. In addition, the guy behind the counter showed me an actively working stun gun I had expressed passing curiosity about. I had never seen on in action before up close. He took it out of the packaging and told me a story about how one of his coworkers had accidentally shocked himself with it. I just don't see having that kind of experience at Best Buy.
