Review from Dave E.
Red Bluff, CA
Great aesthetic. Simple sorts of items, well choosen to reflect a sophisticated farm-house look. I found these cool little galvanized labels that look like gravestones. Great for plant labels, pie labels, or recipe stands. They also had these old fashioned multi-filament, clear light bulbs that are seriously Victorian.
Great stuff, good reasonable prices. Friendly staff, not snotty. -

One of our favorite stops on trips to Mendocino is the Philo Apple Farm (reviewed earlier), and now that they've opened the Mercantile, we can stop there to pick up jams and juices, instead of visiting the Farm if it's raining, like last year. It was STORMING in April when we went through, so being able to stop at the Mercantile was a blessing.
Mercantile has a wonderful adjoining deli. The Mercantile itself is a trip back in time, and back into a truly rural old time mercantile store.
