Mosquitoes are out in full force...our state bird is back with a vengence this year. It's starting to make my normally pleasant walk around the 1.8 mile preserve uncomfortable whenever I have to stop and let my dog relieve herself. I'm going to start looking for an alternative until fall.
But don't get me wrong, this place is lovely. It's secluded even though it's smacked between hgwy 7 and 3, there's an easy (though somewhat secret..sshhhh) connection to the Greenway, and makes a walk to the post office pleasant. You will see plenty of bunnies and birds, and maybe some deer. On the Beltline side there is a ton of construction to make way for a new eating disorder clinic, but hopefully that will be completed around the time the mosquitoes die.Listed in: My Neighborhood, Charlotte's Hood
