Dearest Dear friends of mine who are thinking of or about to get married,

I'm happy for you, I really am. We've known each other for years and years and years; as single folks and couples. I'm pleased to be invited and will be there with bells on. But along with the bells, I'll also be wearing an ear-piece attached to a tiny radio hidden in my inside pocket. You see, you chose to get married on what just so happens to be the day of game one of the World Series. I know this is a huge day for both of you, but it's also a huge day for me, so just a quick bit of advice: Next time around, do you think you could avoid the entire month of October for these types of functions? Because as much as I love you, I love baseball too. And for as long as I've known you both, I've known baseball much, much longer. I'm a loyal and loving guy and have a hard time breaking from the past, even for wonderful people like you. Thanks in advance for future considerations, and sorry about the distant, tiny radio sound you might hear during the ceremony and possible, audible gasps and fist pumping YEAHS!!!! That's just me in the back row, celebrating my first love while everyone else is celebrating your last and or current love.  Steeeeerriiiiikkke One!!!!
