Barry Cleaners does the BEST alterations on jeans I have found.  The prices aren't a steal, but they do a great job on the original hem of shortening jeans.  I have tried other places, but Barry Cleaners does the best job!

This place does good work.  

My dress shirts come out consistently perfectly ironed.  No stains, no ring around the collar.

Dress shirts on a hanger cost $1.75 each.  A shirt given to them on Monday at 8.30 am will be finished on Wednesday at 6 pm.  They have a computerized system for tracking items and when they'll be ready.  The only negative is that they close early at 7 pm on weekdays, but then again, so do most Chicago cleaners.
