Barnwood is the type of restaurant that you stop at, right off the freeway when you are hungry and tired of driving.
However, that doesn't compromise its food.
My whole family ordered sandwiches, and each one was really good.  I had the monte cristo sandwich, and it was one of the best I've ever had.  My mom had the reuben, and my sister the tuna melt, my dad the chicken supreme.  All surprisingly good.
This little restaurant exceeded my expectations by a lot.  Ok, so maybe that was because my expectations weren't that high to begin with, but still.  It says something.
It loses a star because service was kind of slow, even though it wasn't crowded at all.

As long as the owners mother is not waitressing, we really like this place.  His mother is one of those older women who don't realize they are being rude, but they are.  She was rude to my kids once and is THE SLOWEST waitress I've ever seen.

They have a really great variety on their menu and the owner is Greek so it definitely has flair.  They have everything from fried chicken to mousaka to pb&j for the kids.  (the fried chicken is my favorite with a honey flavor).  They have a great banquet room that can be used for big groups.  The inside is decorated with all kinds of memorabilia from the past and is fun for kids to look at.

They have a good variety of beer and local wines.  They also do catering.  The owner works at the olympics in the catering for the athletes.

Update:  We went here just because I was tired of Mexican food and Pizza.  The old woman waitress knocked my steak sandwich roll off my plate and onto the bench seat when she served my food.  She actually placed the roll back on my plate and left like it hadn't happened!  Now I don't know about you, but the thought of eating something that has touched a seat that has been slid on by hundreds of butts/asses is not appetizing to me!  I will NEVER go back to this place ever again.  Ever!!  I just sat there in shock and looked at my husband like 'did that just happen or am I on drugs?'.  He just started laughing.  Seriously!  Crazy shit.
