Everything about Bark Pet Photography is perfect. It was really easy to schedule the shoot. When Kim and Sarah came to photograph our pets they were absolutely delightful to be around. They were very flexible in accommodating what we wanted. The best part was the final photos. They exceeded my expectations. My mom literally started crying when she saw how good they were. Kim and Sarah really brought out the personalities of our dogs. The photos that we got of our dogs lived up to the quality of the finest work in the Bark Pet Photography gallery. I would not hesitate to call on them again for photos or recommend them to a friend.

I wanted to take pictures with my little Pom. I can take pictures of her alright since photography is my hobby but I want to be in the pictures with my little baby. So I started looking for pet photographer. Kim is super nice and her pricing is very reasonable. She is really fast in responding to any of my questions and very patient when we were trying to schedule a day for the photo shoot. We did the photo session in a park in Santa Monica. Half of the pictures were taken in the park and the other half were in nearby neighborhood. It was clear that Kim knows the area well since she knew several great spots for pictures with great background.
Coco and I had so much fun. Pet photography is challenging since you also have to be able to get the dog's attention while taking the pictures. Kim has an assistant with her and she helped out a lot.
Overall, I found Kim easy to work with and the pictures came out great!!! It was a good mix of pictures of Coco in action by herself and Coco & me. -

Kim, the owner and photographer for Bark Pet Photography is the by far the most talented pet photographer I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Not only is she patient and sweet with the animals, she has a real knack for capturing them at their absolute cutest! Her pictures of my foster dog Sugar turned a dog who would normally be labeled a "vicious pitt" at first glance, into an absolute teddy bear!
Additionally, Kim is active in animal rescue, volunteering her time and skills to help animals find forever homes. She has been so incredibly generous in her efforts to help me place my dog, that I simply cannot say enough amazing things about her. A humanitarian, an animal lover, and a FANTASTIC photographer, you could not do better then to hire Kim to capture your pet at their adorablest!1 Previous Review: Show all »

I have two dogs. As an amateur photographer, I've attempted to take a lot of pictures of them, but getting a good photograph with both of them looking at the camera was proving difficult. I wanted to give my parents a nice (and more unusual) Christmas present, so I decided to book a photography session with Kim after seeing her work at the local pet boutique. They used to foster my dogs, so why not?
Kim was great - her prices were very fair, but more importantly, she made an effort to accommodate my schedule, timeline, and aesthetic desires. The two hour shoot was very smooth; she took time to know my skittish and slightly neurotic Shih Tzus. Kim didn't even bat an eyelash when one overly excited boy lost slight control of his bladder when he met her. (As the dog owner, I was really embarrassed!) The final photographs turned out exactly as I imagined.
Oh, and I'm sure my parents will love their triptych of the puppies. They helped pick out the proofs, but they haven't seen the final product yet. I'm excited to see the reaction. -

Kim has a great talent for capturing your pet's personality! She was great with my three dogs, two of which are puppies and can be quite a handful. She has an amazing eye for composition and the photos she produces are stunning.
Also, she made a triptych with three photos she took of my sister's puppy. I wanted to surprise my sister with this as a birthday gift, and Kim knew exactly what kind of professional photo printing services to use. My sister loved her present and now has phenomenal pictures to always remember her first puppy by. -

Against my more logical, objective and emotionally detached self, I decided I wanted to have my dog professionally photographed. Kim and her partner Sarah were absolutely great! I found them through Yelp, and then looking at their website felt they'd be just right for us, and I was right! Not only are Kim's prices extremely reasonable (especially compared to some of the more "commercial" pet photographers in the area), but she was totally flexible in accommodating my ridiculous schedule, talked at length pre-sesson with my by phone about where might be best to photograph my baby, and about his likes, his personality, even his personal rescue story. And of course, her photographs were just great - i have no idea how she was able to capture Charlie's quintessential expressions so well, given that he is hardly the most obedient dog. She got into all sorts of positions to get a shot, and spent a good 2 hours from setup to finish, taking pics all over the place. All in all, this was a great experience and I LOVE my pictures.

Kim of Bark Pet Photography is amazing! If you ever wanted gorgeous photographs capturing the your pet's true personality....hire Bark Pet Photography. Both Kim and Sarah have an amazing rapport with dogs and cats. My dogs immediately feel comfortable around them. My little dog Chelsea jumped right into her lap when she came over! And it is in large part because of this that she can take such amazing photos. Additionally, the photos have genuine artistic quality to them. They are not just your standard headshots (a la K-Mart style) of your pet. Kim is quite talented knows how to capture the best part of your pets personality. I had researched several other pet photographers....and the area where I live, we are saturated with pet photographers.....But Bark Pet Photography is truly the best. I volunteer for an animal rescue and I know others who have also commissioned Bark Pet Photography. Additionally, Kim also helps homeless animals and animal rescues in the area by doing a lot of "pro-Bone-o" work to help homeless animals get adopted by taking fantastic photos of the animals making their best selves shine through the photo...that gets the attention of those looking to adopt. Last, but not least, I feel that Bark Pet Photography prices are extremely reasonable. It is worth checking them out. Make sure you check out their website. You will definitely be impressed!

My two dogs are a little shy around new people so I was nervous about the photo session. When we got there, my dogs immediately warmed up to Kim and Sarah. They made sure my dogs and even my husband and I were completely comfortable the whole time. They were so friendly and knew exactly what to do to get the most amazing shots!! So professional and totally affordable!

Palos Verdes Peninsula, CA
I purchased the one hour package for my French Bulldog with Bark Pet Photography after doing some research on the internet. From the very beginning I liked Kim's photos the best after browsing several photographer's websites. After getting quotes from several people and the details of each package, it turned out that Bark's package was competitive, if not cheaper, than all of the others, and since I liked her pictures most, it was an easy decision. We scheduled a photo shoot for my dog Dino at a beach in Palos Verdes (where the weather is very sketchy). The weather ended up not being being good for the day that we scheduled it and Kim recommended to reschedule for another weekend. She was very accomodating with dates and was always willing to watch the weather (up until just hours before the shoot) to make sure this wouldnt impact the quality of the photos. This made me like her from the very beginning! BUt besides that, Dino's proofs came out awesome! I don't have any to post right now as I am still goign through them all to choose the ones I want (which is very tough since there are so many good ones). Other than great photos and customer service, she was also great with my dog. Sometimes he doesn't like associating himself with new people from the very beginning, but he went right up to her when we first met. He seemed to be very comfortable around her which I would think is essential for a good shoot. All in all, I loved the experience. I think Dino even enjoyed all the attention. I cant wait to get my final pictures. She even edits out the eye goobers! Awesome!
