West Los Angeles, CA
Voted best coffee shop in Tracy for a reason!!
Went here with my sister when visiting her and asked to go back the next day. It is a very cute and quaint coffee shop on the main street in this town. The few times I went, it was crowded, long lines, but well worth the wait. And we always found some comfy chairs to nestle close in and have our morning chats.
The menu is extensive, and everything I tried made my tummy warm and happy. My chai tea latte was perfectly sprinkled with cinnamon, and my sister's peppermint mocha was topped with festive green whip cream, tis the season! -

This place is great. I love to support local businesses, especially good ones. This is the only place in town that has as many options as some of my favorite indie coffee shops in Portland Or, and San Francisco.
I am lactose intolerant and allergic to soy milk so I was pretty jazzed to find out Barista's had rice milk and almond milk (my fav). They make an awesome Almond Milk Latte every time. It 's a great addition to the city. Thanks Barista's! -

Seems like a place where the "locals" come for coffee. I came here after reading their reviews on here and because my mom said a teller that helped her at BOA recommended it.
It was busy when I went in this morning at around 9AM. There is seating outside as well as a lot of seating on the inside for the size of it. There were a few people in line ahead of me, no biggie. It gave me a chance to read over the menu and choose what I wanted.
I'm a big blended drink fan...even in the winter when it's cold, I'll still order a blended drink. I ordered the toffee crunch one, 20 oz. was $4.45. Pretty standard price for a blended drink.
It was actually really good, had a strong toffee flavor, but not overwhelming. I didn't order any food, but they have a lot of different things to order. From muffins to bagels, it all looked good.
The staff was very friendly and my order was ready a couple of minutes after I ordered. It's not really near my house...so I'd probably only visit it on days off when I'm not in a hurry. But it seems like a nice establishment for the downtown area. -

Coffee is absolutely dreadful. Employees are hardly helpful, and the place is not very clean. I am happy there are other coffee shops in the direct vicinity.

The blended drinks here are good.. more original that starbucks.
The staff is friendly, and seems to put some effort in to greeting regulars by name and remembering what you order.
The decor is really nice and well done. Overall its a cool place to hang out.
Not very big inside, but plenty of folks are just in-and-out. And they do have one area where you could seat a few people and have a semi-private meeting. -

I love this little shop. They have very tasty blended drinks. They do not have the super strong coffee taste that starbucks has, but if you are into that you can ask for extra coffee. My hair colorist at the Cutting Salon a block away recommended it. I am so glad she did. When i am in Tracy i only come here. No more Starbucks for me. The staff is also usually super nice. I do not understand the bad reviews this place has gotten.

I love Barita's. Super nice staff and a comfortable place to meet and have coffee and snacks. The ice coffee is made with coffee ice cubes and then you fill it with hot coffee. As the ice melts it doesn't dilute your drink...so smart!

This is our go-to coffeehouse in Tracy. They have a huge selection of coffee choices from cold/hot/ and blended. The baristas behind the counter are always very friendly and happy. Coffee just taste better from smiling people.
I usually order the Creme brûlée coffee with cranberry orange scone or some sort of bagel. If they are out, they will be happy to make you a fresh one. It's a nice cozy environment where there are usually locals just chilling out. Nice ambiance. It's mine and Mich's favorite spot (heart). -

Once again, Barista's has exceeded my expectations. Service is top notch and so is their coffee. I had their Amore Mocha, which had an essence of strawberries, and it was delicious.
Yes, Starbucks is more convenient, but it's so corporate cold.. You can see and feel the love and hard work the owners put in their cafe. I know it's just Tracy and there's not a lot of great places to go to.. But no one can deny that Barista's deserve all five of those stars.1 Previous Review: Show all »

Barista's is the best independent cafe in Tracy hands down! I have friends from the bay area that marvel at Barista's. If you are into custom made coffeehouse drinks you will not be disappointed because they are very professional and they know what they are doing...
if you a regular cup of Joe kind of person, again, you will not be disappointed. You pay for your coffee they hand you a cup you serve yourself from a variety of freshly brewed coffee carafes; Sumatran to Italian roast its there, you can even make your very own blend!
And lastly the salads and bagel sandwiches are very good! I especially love the turkey and cheese bagel VERY YUMMY especially warmed up!
Great place to kick back on Saturday's in the summer with a chilled coffee drink after shopping at the farmers market as well.
Minus 1 star for always having FOX NEWS on! I mean can't you choose something more middle of the road like Headline news or just play music!! I don't like hearing viewing right-view politics or any politics when i want to enjoy my coffee!!! -

My new favorite hang out. Service is very Small hometown friendly.
They are so sweet to show you sizes and let you know what you are expecting so if it's your first time there they are just as nice to you if it is your 10th time there. I just had their Raw Latte...Out of this world with beauty and so tasty! I wanted to dip my finger around in the inside of my mug just to get all the sweetness around the edges. -

Wow, 29 reviews and they have a 5 star rating. I can see why. 16oz cup of coffee 1.75. Better than anywhere else. Service just as good as starbucks and better than some others.
I didn't rate them for those great attributes.
I rated them for the taste of the coffee. It rated only 3 stars and I guess that's because in my opinion no one can equal Starbucks Pikes Place Roast. Guess it's just a matter of taste. -

The line was long and customers were rude too. It seemed like they didn't anticipate so much business in the morning. Cmon people want coffee in the morning!!!!! Staff your establishment accordingly! I walked out.

Best hot chocolate ever!! great place to visit, people watch, or relax. The staff here, owners included, NEVER forget your name, when you walk in, they already get your order going. I dont drink coffee, but have brought many people to Baristas and it is a winner. Even their pastries are brought to you on a plate, and served with a smile. It is a must!!

Barista's is my favorite coffee shop in the area. Hus is a great guy, and I often see him behind the counter, helping out the other staff instead of hiding in the backroom like a "normal" manager or owner would. We do business with him regularly, and he's an integral part of the Tracy business community. The staff is always friendly, and somehow they always manage to see me leaving and thank me for coming. How awesome is that?
People love the place so much that it actually gets pretty loud at times - it can be hard to hear if you're in there during certain times, so you sometimes need to sit outside if you're looking for a quiet chat over coffee. -

This place is phenomenal! While they can't tell you who their roaster is, (Because it's a secret) they do sell his beans. After my third visit, their staff was greeting me by name and knew what I wanted! (I only visit about once a week due to my work schedule.) And from what I've read about them, this is not exclusive to me. They are the only place in any of the surrounding communities that have as many sugar free flavors as they do. As a diabetic, this of great value to me.
I used to be a huge fan Peet's Coffee until I came across Barista's. Their beans have a different flavor I love, a quality I've never experienced before. The environment is calm and accepting and you get free Wi-Fi no matter what. If I could come here more often, this would be my "Cheers."
My favorite drink: Large sugar-free, nonfat, ,no-whip, blended white-chocolate mocha, with 5 shots of espresso. (this is the first place I've been to that gives you ALL of your shots, even if it takes two cups!) -

This shop has become our regular stop for our family's "Coffee Shop Day." The staff is friendly and knew my order after only stopping in a few times. I usually get a blended drink (I can never remember the name, white chocolate something... They always seem to know what I'm talking about) which always comes out great. In addition, they always have all kinds of sweets that I love to munch on in the morning.

This ain't no Starbuck's...this place is 100x BETTER! I kinda wish it was a chain and not just a privately-owned coffee shop, since I live in San Jose. But whenever I'm in Tracy, I am always going to stop in to get me some yummy coffee. My favorite is a drink called the Truffle Raspberry - very tasty. Their Latte and Mocha are both very good. The other gourmet stuff listed sounds good too, so I'm going to have to experiment and let you all know.
You're going to have to try their toasted bagel and croissant sandwhices. SO GOOD, that I eat it slow to savour the flavor!
The baristas are all friendly, the atmosphere is pretty open and chill. I like! The only thing that it's closed on Sundays. boo. But the owners deserve a day off, since they are there every day. So I understand... =) -

Simply the best - great coffee, and great service.
Also try their bagel sandwich - cheese bagel with ham and egg. Goes perfect with their signature "cafe barista"
The owner Hus is behind the counter and will remember your name the after your first visit. Even after moving to Dublin, we make a trip out to Tracy to visit this place. -
Review from Jaime P.
After finding out that I was diabetic, I was crushed I would not be able to enjoy any sweet concoctions from this location, however Barista's has overly met my expectations with what is available for me to consume. I came in over the weekend to see what kind of white mocha concoction I could get, and they had quite a few options that I could choose from, way better than the skinny lattes that Starbucks has to offer.
I can now testify that their skinny white blended mocha is the bomb diggity and is my new favorite sugar free drink! Customer service here is excellent as always, and this is still my favorite place to get coffee at, ever!1 Previous Review: Show all »

Ok, I've only been here twice with a friend--and I didn't even order Coffee... so based on what my friend tells me, the coffee is pretty good and a bargain for the price.
This place offers that small, privately owned, neighborhood coffee shop that you can't find at Starbucks or the Red Bean. The staff is friendly and the environment has some energy to it.
Seems like a good place to hang out, though I don't think it's open late (what is in Tracy????).
Tea and hot chocolate are pretty good, but nothing special. They sell the same tea-bags as everyone else. But then, I wouldn't go here for the food, I'd go here for the ambiance. -

Baristas is definitely "As good as it gets!"
From the second you walk into the Coffee Shop, you are treated like family. The staff will quickly learn your name and then call you by first name each and every time you come in.
They take pride in each latte they serve. They foam the milk in such a way that cannot be replicated.
There is not one single thing that is a negative to Baristas! We love it there and go as often as possible! -

Tracy, CA
By far the best place to study in Tracy! Not to mention, their coffee is scrumptious and the service is always welcoming and friendly. Free Wi-Fi, comfortable seating, plenty of outlets to charge your lap top, and they have a various selection of pastries. The decor is cute and inviting and location in downtown Tracy is convenient. On Saturdays you can look out the window and see the Farmers Market (ends at noon). The only downfall...it's closed on Sundays, but you gotta respect those ma and pop businesses that still accommodate to their employees and not just the customers. I'm really happy we have been blessed with this coffee house in Tracy!

Good coffee, great selection, and best of all great customer service! Everyone who works there are friendly, smiley and sweet. Service is fast as well. didn't give it 5 stars only bc I have gone by 3 different times later in the day for a coffee and they're closed... Completely understandable I just get disappointed!

Awesome! No wonder this place has won awards since '02. I just started coming here and it's awesome. Good atmosphere, friendly staff, good coffee, and good bake goods. Love their muffins here. Waaay better than Starbucks bake goods which are sometimes old, stale, hard, blah.

What's not to love? The service is phenomenal and the coffee is absolutely delicious! Barista's was recommended to me by someone who was helping out in my classroom. She raved about their coffee and service. I tried it out and now visit four to five times a week. I crave the ham and cheese croissants from the time I wake up! When we walk in, we are greeted by name and with warm smiles and conversation. I feel more like we're having coffee and breakfast at a friend's house rather than going to a coffee shop!

The Bad: Coffee is not worth drinking. 1 star place if you only drink coffee. I tried every airpot full of coffee and none have a desireable long lasting finish. All coffees are in airpots and if one comes at a wrong time, The coffee has sat and the flavor and aroma profiles change to an aweful taste. The owner should change the brewed coffee to a high quality coffee.
The Good, or should I say, 5 star place for the good. The service is top notch. The place is cozy and all the locals meet their. I love their cappuccinos (not latte art), they taste great! They have their own creative drinks not on the menu.
Great place, great people, BAD coffee
I don't always want a cap. I love coffee, But I can't drink theirs so I don't go as often as I could. -

Very impressed...this place is LOVED! The owner was here today when I came in (first time here) and I could tell that a lot of thought went into this place - everything from the drink selection, to layout, to customer service. 5 stars all the way! That's why they stay so busy....

The sticker on the front window says it all. "People love us on yelp." Great selection of hot coffee and cold drinks. The cherry iced-tea I had was great, especially on a hot day. Nice selection of pastries. Very reasonable prices and friendly staff make this a great alternative to Starbucks.
