I was devastated last night to see the doors shuttered and the sinage gone. I NEED their food, dang it!
I spent all morning trying to track down Chef Edgar. Turns out that there is a Barcelona at the Artisan Hotel on Sahara.
Same basic menu.
Am soooo going to visit next week. They are also on Open Table, so I can get reservation points.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Dec 30, 2017Previous reviewThere is just something sumptuous and sexy about sharing seductive tapas. Barcelona is the only place in Southern Nevada which gets it right, every time.
My husband and I both crave the pan fried dates with bacon wrapped. The unctuous balsamic reduction is the final bath for these babies.
I adore the fish tacos, as well. Honestly, these are the best fish tacos I have ever had. Yummy-Yummy !!
It is always a joy to be greeted by the owner, Edgar, and our server, Tee, is a delight. She is so genuine and thoughtful--a true asset.
Another memorable moment at Barcelona - 231144330Dec 3, 2017
I was curious about this place for a little bit and waited for my family to be here to go - since they're from Barcelona. It was simply amazing! The place itself is super cool, it's casual but full of decoration details that will catch your eyes.
They have live music on Fridays, it starts around 6:30pm, we obviously missed out on it but It was still a great experience. The gentleman and the lady who were taking care of us were absolutely wonderful! They were both very patient in explaining to me what each item was and they were great with my family members that don't speak English.
We did the all you can eat for $25,99 per person and the menu selection was really good. The order size is small so if you're really hungry order a couple of things at once. Food came out pretty quick and we tried almost everything on the menu, the flavors were just divine - just watch for the sauces as they can seem too spicy for some.
Desert is included and I recommend the bread pudim, it was fresh and warm.
We had a great time enjoying great food, I'm going back for sure!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 13, 2018
Always delicious tapas at a local spot. No need to drive to the Aria for tapas if you're feeling low key.
My favs for years, shareable or enjoy alone at the bar as I do sometime.
Stuffed Piquillo Peppers w/ goat cheese
Albondigas which are Spanish meatballs
Fried goat cheese, to die for
Sliders
Filet Mignon Medallions so tender!
Stuffed Mushrooms
Bacon wrapped Dates a must & the best ever. Crispy & sweet!
Apple & Manchego Cheese Salad Absolutely a must & super healthy. A perfect pair.
Chorizo Bilbao, Empanadas & Croquetas are also a must.
The best dessert ever is the Chocolate Tres Leches so save room for it!
I like to order slowly so either I don't get full all at once or I like to enjoy the tapas as my own kind of Prix Fixe menu. The tapas come out kind of quick, but hot. Super good!Helpful 11Thanks 0Love this 10Oh no 0 - Kelly K.Las Vegas, NV201129291Nov 24, 2017
A treasure was found! I love when I am in a different neighborhood and find a restaurant that I enter into and I am taken to somewhere far far away like Barcelona.
The location is in a strip mall, enter through the door and you are taken to Barcelona. I love the low lights, dark wood floors and tables with the Spanish flags and decor. When I saw tapas in the window I was immediately sold. They have an all you can eat menu and trust me when I return I will be in for that menu!
I stopped by to get something light to eat and a tea, and was I sorry I had already eaten lunch and have dinner reservations later. I tried the croquettes and I was in heaven. They were perfectly crispy and the warmed mashed potatoes with cheese, ham and chorizo were heavenly. I will return and will write more, for now, this is a must when you are in the area.
I loved everything, and this last note is not a reflection of the restaurant, but a patron who brought in a child, gave them an iPad to watch a Disney movie, and it was so loud it ruined my experience. Please, please, don't do this people! Bring headphones if your child needs to be entertained.
My Check in.... um how do I delete an error?????Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Dianna R.Orange, CA1355167548Aug 23, 2017
The AYCE tapas is a good deal ($26) if you have a group or are with very hungry people! Unfortunately it was just a table of 2 and the items I really wanted were not available on the AYCE menu.
The items I did have were:
Octopus
Steamed Mussels
Stuffed mushrooms
Ribeye bites
Beef empanada ($1 on Wednesdays!)
Also, if you check in on Yelp, you get a free sangria! Only thing that sucked was that you only get 1 per table and it's a glass... so my friend and I had to share. That was weird. Other than that though, it was great service and delicious tapas!! I want to come back and try the other items! Also, Monday they have a cheaper AYCE lunch menu for $18.99. Highly recommend this place!Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Bri H.Las Vegas, NV3274056Feb 8, 2018
Loved this place!! Me & my boyfriend decided to try this spot out after hearing they had Happy Hour. We called several times to get the hours but no one answered. So we decided to just stop in. We missed Happy Hour, but no big deal. They had an "all you can eat" tapas for $24. We both decided to go with that. I also got my free sangria from checking in on Yelp (it was yummy).
The All You Can Eat menu was large and there was a ton of good options. The portions are smaller than the actual tapas, but not a problem because if you like it you can just order another.
Some of the things we ordered:
-Mac N Cheese (we ended up eating 4 of these)
-Bacon Wrapped Dates (my absolute favorite. I had 3 orders)
-Beef AND Chicken Empanadas
-Beef Taco
-Albondigas (meatball)
-Garlic Fries
-Mashed Potatoes (only thing we disliked. Very dry)
-Sliders
-Cheese Ravioli
You also get a dessert so we got the Tres Leches and Bread Pudding with caramel sauce. Both were delicious.
We will definitely be coming back!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Cindy W.Las Vegas, NV406203526Jan 22, 2017
I came here to meet up with my mommy friends as a mommy night out. We decided to try the all you can eat- to sample a lot for a decent price.
I ordered the steak skewers,Barcelona fries, stuffed artichokes, cheese ravioli, Mac and cheese, beef carpaccio, spinach salad, pork taco,
Pretty much everything on the menu
My favorite dishes were stuff artichokes, stuff dates, cheese ravioli, spinach salad, Mac and cheese
I definitely recommend this place, it's really fun and good, definitely a good place for a girls night outHelpful 4Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Emily B.Las Vegas, NV231351964Jun 10, 2017
I've been to Barcelona a few times, and it's always a pleasant experience. Most recently I went with my boyfriend and mom on a Friday night and was surprised at how busy it was. They offered us a table between two large parties but noted it would probably be cramped. Another server rushed to make a table by the bar that worked out perfectly. There was live music playing from the corner but from where we were sitting it wasn't too loud to talk to each other.
I think it's brilliant that they have an all you can eat menu. However, it's pretty hard to eat $25 worth of tapas per person. We ordered the tomato bruschetta, patatas bravas, mac and cheese, pork empanadas, croquettes, al pastor tacos, and dates, as well as two martinis and four beers and it came out to $100. All you can eat would have been $75 off the bat and I think with drinks and tax it would have been more than $100. If you want to relax and share plates and not get too full I don't see a reason to do the AYCE. Lunch prices do seem more justifiable though.
My favorite of the dishes we ordered was the patatas bravas and tacos al pastor. The patatas bravas were smaller pieces than I've had before, allowing each bit to be crispy. It also wasn't smothered in cheese which was nice, and it had a great saltiness to it. The tacos al pastor meat was similarly cut up small and super crispy. I did taste a few bits of pineapple but could have used a little more. Surprisingly my least favorite was the mac and cheese. It had a smoky flavor to it and the side of bacon looked and tasted like bacon bits. The tomato bruschetta and empanadas were solid choices, not necessarily mind blowing. The dates are a must always.
The service was wonderful here. It feels like a family environment and I'm glad to see that it was so full the night we went in. Even though it's further from my house I'd have to say I prefer Barcelona to Firefly. I definitely want to check out the lunch AYCE sometime soon.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Lisa L.Anaheim, CA243195397Jun 12, 2017
When you're a woman of "buffet style eating"...you're attracted to food joints that specialize in tapas because then you get to indulge in what you love.....a lot for a little!!
Because this place has a 4 star rating, seems only fitting for me to cruise on in, after all, I'm sold on all of the yelpers food photos! Looks delish!!
To be rather blunt, it was neither good nor bad! Didn't blow my stomach's mind or any of that goodness.
I came in for Happy hour and ordered everything from the HH menu so i can try a lot for a little. I was enticed by all of the pictures on yelp and it just so happened that everything that drew me in was conveniently on the HH menu! (Yay)
I was surprised to say that not one thing gave me that "wow" factor! Not one thing imprinted my heart enough to compel me to want to return! Everything, when it comes to the HH menu, was simply bland and unsatisfying. Disappointed!
Service was quick and great!!! Food came out soo fast, kind of makes me wonder how it's prepared in the back! Not complaining at all, I'm a woman of instant gratification when it comes to eating out, so fast food doesn't bug me!
All in all, very bland food!! If you're a simple, non picky eater, you will enjoy this. But if you're a person of explosive flavor and enjoy creative culinary spice full foods, this isn't the place for you!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Betcy W.Henderson, NV4489253Dec 9, 2017
I absolutely love this place! Was in the mood for a Tapas restaurant and found this one on Yelp and luckily had very good reviews.
I got there in time for their Happy Hour menu and was able to select some good items : Chicken and Rice soup, Beef carpaccio, Chicken Empanadas. I liked every single thing, Empanadas we're so-so. I ordered their Barcelona fries, as well as their Salami Bandera and lastly their Banana Foster for dessert. This is my new favorite place! Also, when you check in with Yelp you get a free Sangria ( 1 per table only). Come check out this Spanish Tapas place, Lorena is the best waitress!!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
