When arriving in California after driving from Indiana our first order of business was to set up new bank accounts due to the fact our bank of choice is not available in Cali.

We chose Bank of America due to the convenience and cross country locations. And they have great on line banking.

It was a Saturday and the Fairfax branch was closed so we went to the San Anselmo branch. The lady who helped us shall remain nameless due to her kindness and the fact that she reminded me of my grandma. Unfortunately she did not seem to have much computer training, she kept exiting out of this system about every 2 minutes and loosing all of our info, lets just say by the end of it she new our old addy and zip by heart.

We were offered debit cards with our pictures for added security and so we said ok. She took our pics and then told us the cards would arrive in 7-10 business day. Two weeks later our cards still had not arrived, after calling the 'corporate' number we were not much better off, we were told it would take at least 2 weeks for the cards. It took over a month to get out picture-less debit cards and a hole lot of pointless phone calls.

So not having access to our money was more than a little frustrating, not to mention the fact that while getting a California drivers license they punch a hole through your old one, which banks seem to be suspicious of... so withdrawing at a branch was like performing espionage.

To draw this very long story to an end, I would probably stay away from this branch when opening an account.
