This is probably one of the BEST places in the NoVa region for Banh Cuon (Vietnamese rice crepes). I'm a transplant from the Bay Area, and this place is comparable to some of the best Viet restaurants out in San Jose, CA.
I always order Banh Cuon Saigon, which is their house special. It comes with a sampler of many types of rice crepes (meat filled crepes, shrimp filled crepes, and plain ones) with Vietnamese steamed pork/ham, fried crunchy mung bean toasts, and lots of fresh yummy bean sprouts and basil. What makes the banh cuon good is the fish sauce.
Another one of their specials that I highly recommend is the Banh Canh Geo Heo, which is rice noodle soup with pork. The broth is very flavorful and the noodles complements it very well.
This restaurant really knows what they're doing and my tummy is always content at the end of the meal.
I love their banh cuon, which is Vietnamese steamed rice crepe stuffed w/ stuffing of your choice such as minced pork, shrimp, onion. The Bun Rieu is pretty tasty but usually, I go w/ the shrimp version. It's tomato-based broth with rice noodles, paired w/ a bunch of fresh beansprouts, mint/basil leaves, and finely chopped cabbage.
Warning...almost all the little restaurants in Eden Center are cash only. After wandering around for 20min looking for an atm (located in the supermarket), I trekked all the way back here to try their Bun Rieu, crab meat, shrimp & conch noodle soup. It came out piping hot and looked oishisoooo! Check the pic for yourself....just like back in Vietnam. The shrimps were so tender and cooked just right. The broth and fresh herbs so tasty! Totally worth getting cash for. Located to your left when entering Eden Center....inside all the way in the back on your right.
I've never had their bun rieu but the pic sure looks good. Their banh cuon looks mighty tasty as well but I'm not a huge fan of banh cuon to begin with. I've had their bun bo hue (spicy beef soup), com tam bi suon cha(crushed rice with meat & egg), pappaya beef salad, eggrolls, and hu tieu nam vang (clear noodles with seafood soup). It's all decent to me but of course they specialize in banh cuon right? Anyways, it's another good option to eat in Eden if you want to switch up your usual eden places.
