Bangz is very trendy, which can be good and bad.  My husband and I have done various services with them, but the results are mixed.  The waxing room was great, but the manicures/pedciures were way over-priced for the quality (plus Carmen was super hyper and not chill) - really not what I wanted when I go to have a relaxing afternoon.  The haricuts are mixed as well.  One time Raymond was great, another time not so well.  If you're in a pinch to find someone, with a staff as large as theirs, you may be lucky.  Otherwise, try Parlor Hair Studio, Vamp, or another local cute salon.

LOVED, LOVED, LOVED my haircut! Lilly was pleasant and professional, and knew exactly what to do with my hair to achieve the result I wanted. The atmosphere is fun--you feel more like you're sitting in a trendy New York eatery than a hair salon--and though it's pricier than this Virginia transplant is used to paying for a haircut, from what I understand its comparable to similar places in the city. I've always felt like haircuts are one place where it's worth it to pay a little extra to get exactly what you want, though, and I'm definitely sticking with my girl at Bangz, she is brilliant!

I had a GREAT, GREAT haircut today from Morgan at Bangz. Very friendly salon. I think she did a better job than my usual NYC haircut for a quarter of the price. (Seriously, I was paying way too much $$).  I think she found the right balance between what I wanted and what she thought would look good, and she did an awesome job. I felt great walking out of there with my new hair.
Also, they are open on Sunday! which is amazing and convenient.
I knew about this place for awhile, but this was my first time there, and I am really happy with it.

Raymond is amazing!  My dream stylist -- didn't just listen to everything I said and perform magic on my hair, but also initiated friendly conversation about reality TV.  The service was great, $45 haircut that would have cost twice as much in the city.  Everyone was extremely friendly, very upscale salon feel for a great value.  They also send me cute mail, including a lovely thank-you note after my first visit.
