Great Thai food - the best I've found in this city.  Great for vegetarians too - they will make any dish with Tofu.  They will even make dishes not on the menu if you have a favorite that's not there.

Staff is very friendly and attentive.

Bangkok House is the best Thai food around. It was recommended to me by my manicurist, who is Thai. How much better does that get?

The ingredients are fresh and high quality. The service is excellent.

The dishes are wonderful. There aren't 100s to choose from like some places, but what they have to offer is worth it. And if you want something not on the menu, they will make it for you anyway.

There is an outstanding lunch buffet that is refreshed constantly, the stuff doesn't sit under heat lamps for long.

The restaurant is charming, quaint, warm and inviting, even though it is in a cheesy strip mall. This place is a must for good Thai food.

Ok, so when we lived in Milwaukee this was my favorite Thai restaurant. It shocked me too, you know since it was in a strip mall by the airport, but it was just as good as the two downtown and a lot easier to park at. Well, as my husband still works in Milwaukee he will pick up carry out every once in a while (Volcano Chicken, so freakin good! and no where else other than Milwaukee to be found).

Sadly enough every time he brings home the food, and we take it out after he makes the hour and a half drive, the order just isn't right. most of the time my food is missing any and all spice, which is ok because I just dump siracha in it and we're all good. But sometimes the volcano sauce missing, last time the spring rolls were missing, etc.

Five stars for the food - mmmmmm volcano chicken
2 stars for the inconsistent carry out - although we are not going to stop ordering any time soon.

Love their dinner menu.  Excellent curry!
The lunch buffet is popular, but not a lot of options for vegetarians.

Dined at Bangkok House recently and tried the Shrimp with Pineapple Curry dish.  This is outstanding.  The sauce is coconut based and very smooth and flavorful.  We ordered this dish medium spiced.  The pineapple chunks absorbed the spice giving the dish a good kick.

When dining with a group, order a couple appetizers and entrees to share.  Entrees are served with jasmine rice and fill you up pretty fast, so sharing a few different plates with a group is a nice way to not overeat while having the advantage of trying different dishes.

Our waiter was very pleasant and efficient, always ensuring that our hot tea and glasses of water were full.  Very nice touch.

Bangkok House, where have you been all my life???? This place is excellent, the buffet was insanely good. Every dish was over the top with Thai flavor. My friend and I agreed, we will never go to King and I again. We loved the Pud Thai, Volcano Chicken, Red Curry, and those wonderful spring rolls.....mmmmmmmmmm. Also, the restaurant was already packed, as we arrived just before noon. Where else can you get such fresh, high quality Thai food for right under $10?

Good Points: Tasty and fresh ingredients, nice decor and very clean space, pleasant server.

Not as Good: Too much salt in the soup, portion sizes can't be considered cheap eats, longish wait time, felt nickled and dimed.

Starter: A cup of the Tom Kha Gai soup: white meat chicken in a creamy coconut soup, flavored with lime juice, galanga (ginger-like root), straw mushrooms and coconut milk. Tasty and fresh, with the right amount of heat and lime-but they need to lighten up on the salt. $2.95
Entree: Sauteed Shrimp and Squid with onions, bell peppers, and basil leaves with chili garlic sauce. Though you can select one or the other shell fish I requested a mix-and the waitress shot out  without blinking "OK, but it will cost you $1 extra." OK-so the chef has to grab a small handful of each instead of a handful of one before throwing in the wok that's an extra buck? WTF? With the "special request charge:$15.95 for six shrimp and six squid rings (and no tentacles-boo!) what seemed like half a white onion, and a fistful of green and orange bell pepper. Though I asked for moderate spice a (2 out of 3 spice level,) it worked me up into a good sweaty brow, so be cautious.
Drink: A cup of hot Thai tea $1.50 and all the ice water you can drink. Sorry but I'm old-school and used to free tea and rice...but those days are long gone.

Would be a nice choice for a date-night away from the kids with real table linens and attentive service in a quiet setting. Though it was a late weekday dinner (8PM on a Tues) with only two other couples in the whole restaurant-the wait for food seemed a tad long.
