Cholada and Mimi the owners of this restaurant are the most caring and service oriented type of restaurant owners.
Ambiance is great,
Food taste great.
Lamb chops succulent and juicy.
Chicken satay is to die for.
I found them on yelp and took a chance. I'm so happy and grateful that we discovered this restaurant through yelp.
We checked in on yelp and received free Thai ice tea.
Tip the servers well, they work hard and deserve the money.
5 stars all the way.
We highly recommend this restaurant.
You won't regret it.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 1408661159Feb 23, 2024
Solid pad see ew. I got mine with beef. Quick service before our movie. Also tasted some of my family's other dishes. The sweet and sour tofu soup was nice. And the calamari crispy. I'd definitely come back here.

On the evening of Tuesday, April 4, 2023, Mom and I took some family members out for dinner at Bangkok Bay Thai Cuisine. Mom had a great first impression of them.
We called the restaurant last minute, sometime after 7 PM, to ask if they had availability for a party of nine. They told us to come on down. We arrived around 7:30 PM and were seated immediately to our table that was pre-arranged and ready for us. Very few tables were occupied which is likely the reason why we were able to find parking in their lot of maybe half a dozen spaces.
Interior décor is far from ostentatious. While the venue is clean, storage of boxes and supplies is in areas of plain sight of diners which lowers any air of elegance. They should tidy up a bit.
Traditional Thai fare is what Bangkok Bay offers. Below-listed are most of what we ordered.
Thai Iced Tea - Mom liked their Thai Iced Tea so much that she ordered two of these, along with some food, via Door Dash recently.
Thai Iced Coffee - Pal ordered this beverage and seemed to be pleased with it.
Thai Iced Green Tea - After one sip, Auntie Marissa gave up this green version of Thai Iced Tea as she wasn't very excited about it. I happily finished her drink for her.
Roti with both Curry Sauce and Peanut Sauce - Yum!
Wonton Soup - Z enjoyed this and almost finished the whole serving on his own.
Larb (chicken) - I appreciated the accompanying whole leaves of lettuce in this larb. I find this salad much more enjoyable when you can eat the minced chicken within a lettuce leaf, like a wrap or lettuce cup. I was able to do that here.
Garlic and Pepper (Beef) - Due to the lean meat and great flavour, this was one of my favourite dishes of the night.
Thai Fried Rice (one Beef, another Crab) - Both versions were pretty standard in taste.
Pad See-Ew (chicken) - Good.
Green Curry (chicken) - Mom's curry choice.
Red Curry (chicken) - Auntie Marissa liked this curry.
Yellow Curry (chicken) - Not bad.
Spicy Basil (with chicken) - If you like spicy, this is a good choice for you.
Service was great. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, they even served a popular Thai dish requested by my cousin, Eric, Yum Woon Sen with beef, which isn't offered in their menu.
A nice family dinner we had at Bangkok Bay Thai Cuisine.
Mom, though, recently ordered take-out from them via Door Dash. She was very unhappy with the Green Curry (mixed vegetables) because it was missing okra.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Makenna G.Logan, Spokane, WA316350Apr 14, 2024
Super tasty take out! The service was fast and kind. The pad se ew was delicious with crunchy veggies and savory sauce. Huge portion as well. Would definitely order take out again!

Came here on a Monday night with a party of 4 and was seated immediately. The restaurant was actually really quite and there weren't many people dining in.
The food was overall pretty solid. I'd say my favorite was definitely the drunken noodle and garlic and pepper shrimp. The shrimp was superrrr flavorful, which I highly recommend. The duck curry was kinda underwhelming as the duck was kinda over cooked and chewy and tasted a little gamey. I think because of that I'm giving it a 4 star instead of 5 star review.
I think as a take out place this place would definitely be a neighborhood favorite if I lived close by, as the food is very reasonably priced and good. Nothing particular stood out though hence the 4 stars.Helpful 0Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 2 - renee m.Philadelphia, PA15662Dec 27, 2023
The food tastes authentic. If you mention Thai spicy, be warned- it tastes like being back in Thailand! The service was incredible- Kate was so fabulous-even entertained the kids while we ate. Pad kee Mao, papaya salad, larb, eggplant with chicken, fried rice, and sausage- all delicious!!!

I didn't need a reservation as the place was pretty empty on Friday evening!
Seated right away and was handed a menu.
Some apps were priced at happy hour of$7 a plate.
We had the potato empanada- like. Really good!
Service was quick and food was excellent. Really nice place. Parking can be a challenge as nearby lots and street parking fills up quickly.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Rachel C.Menlo Park, CA100113127Dec 13, 2022
Service is good and they offer many of their dishes without fish sauce which is nice
My partner and I ordered the pad Thai and pad kee mao. Both dishes did not taste very good and it made me feel sick, although we aren't sure why. The food is rather mediocre and for the price we would rather opt to go somewhere else. Parking is also more difficult around this location.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - May 16, 2022
Overall:
Now on our short list of Peninsula Thai spots!
Great flavor, price, and generous portions
Mango Tango (4/5):
Great flavor with fresh mango
Not artificially tasting or too sweet
Would order again
Pad Thai (4/5):
One of the more flavorful Pad Thai dishes
A heavier lime / citrus taste, which we liked
Would rec ordering this if wanting a noodle dish
Other:
Ask for extra sauce on the Pad ThaiHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ivory B.San Francisco Bay Area, CA7142062613Sep 15, 2022
This Thai restaurant deserves my Yelp five stars because of these following reasons.
1- The food was served hot to the table and super tasty.
2. My favorite dish are the prawns pad Thai and the three flavor fish which was done to the perfection.
3. The waiter was friendly and attentive.
4. The decor is unique, traditional and beautiful
5. Sittings are comfortable and tables are far apart. I feel safe during the Covid pandemic taking my parents here to dine.
6. There is a cute outdoor seating which would have been perfect.
7. Parking is tough. I almost gave up eating here but had to loop a few time father away from the restaurant to get a parking spot.
If you are near by and crave for Thai food like me, give it a try. You won't regret for sure.
Bon appetite!Helpful 26Thanks 0Love this 26Oh no 0
