3 reviews for Banana Village
While up in North Conway for a weekend getaway, my boyfriend and I stopped in to Banana Village for some mini-golf (can you drive by a place called "Banana Village" and not stop in?!).
The mini-golf course was nicely groomed with water flowing around parts of the course and fun holes and challenges - adventurous enough to keep us happily entertained but not so hard as to make us realize how bad we really are. :) Not the cheesy kind with lots of plastic objects to navigate around and such. There seemed to be several families with small kids having a good time, too, though not too crowded so we could keep moving.
We didn't go on the water slides but we did stop in the arcade - I highly recommend the air hockey, race car video game where you can race another player and, of course, skee ball.
I'd go back, it reminded me of the "good ol' days"!
pretty awesome place for some mini golf...
Not really sure who picks the names for these places, but the Banana Village is an OK place to go to waste some time. We went and played a round of mini-golf that was mostly interesting because we were skipping around to avoid the larger groups. Also, the two greens that are near the water do not have bumpers or anything so your ball will most likely fall into the skanky smelling water. There was also the largest beetle I've ever seen and a weird smell at various places of the course.
We also went inside and played a round of air hockey and then some skee ball (which they called something totally different). You can pick from the usual cheesey over priced "prizes" (I got three bottles of bubbles and a purple robot figurine).
They also have a water slide area but it was late so we didn't go. Whenever we drove by, however, there did not seem to be any large numbers of people using it so maybe it isn't crowded? Who knows.
Prices are alright, nothing spectacular or horrible.
