6 reviews for Banana Republic
I never walked into a Banana Republic until I was courting my wife. I wasn't too happy when she dragged me into this store. This store was my 2nd introduction to BR. The 1st was at a mall, and I thought everyone working there hadn't shit in weeks.
But this store was extremely nice. The people working are helpful-- "get the credit card man, it's great!" and could help me out with any questions I had, though I had none.
The styles are great and trendy. I've walked out paying less for a shirt and pants than I would at say, Wal-Mart.
I'm that cheapskate who walks strait to the clearance rack. Sometimes I even chant "Clearance, clearance" as I'm walking there. The less I spend and more I get for something is sweet.
I go here for work shirts, skirts and pants that are an okay quality for a cheaper price (this is an outlet store). Usually I can find pretty good deals, but some of their clothing has fallen apart on me. Also, they don't have as great of a selection as the Gilroy store.
However, the line is always super long with one or two people at the registers. Also it's usually pretty messy.
I'll continue to go here just because I'm on a budget and need somewhat nice clothes.
Short Version: What a deal!
Long Version: I'll admit my bias; I'm a fan of this chain. I just like the styles here, I like wearing them and I find them real comfy, especially for the business casual environment. What can I tell you; sometimes, I like to look preppy. And you'll find that here in abundance; upper-middle class business and casual. The prices are lower than the regular stores, and they usually have plenty of merchandise in stock. If you're in the neighborhood (it's about forty-five minutes away from L.A.), check'em out!
I heart the banana!
Half of my closet is probably from this store. Their styles are perfect for my business casual office and I love how soft some of their fabrics are.
Although their normal prices are sometimes too high for my single-mom budget, if I find it on sale...it's ususally a great buy.
DOUBLE BOOOOMB! this store is almost as tight as me.
Their outlet stores are okay and the prices are much better than what you'd find at their retail stores - you can find t-shirts for $10 or so. I find the designs at the BR outlet stores to be more boring than the what you'd find at the retail store. Maybe they sell out of the better looking items so that they mainly carry basics at the outlet stores. But I think most of the items are made for their outlet stores. They carry men's and women's clothing, petite sizes, accessories (sunglasses, jewelry, purses), and cologne.
