Order the Bamboo Balls. (They're pastries with cream cheese and green onions inside. There are six to an order.) Everything I've had is delicious. As soon as you enter and when you're leaving the entire staff greets you in a friendly way to make you feel welcome. Their selection is awesome. If you call ahead for pick up they'll get it ready for you. Edamame (soybeans) at the beginning of the meal are a complimentary appetizer. The house salad with ginger dressing is great. Also, they have a vast sushi selection. Oh, and I forgot to mention. If you know Japanese, like me, don't talk to the people there in Japanese to order. I think they're Korean, because they never understand my order.

Bamboo is the only dedicated sushi restaurant that I know of in Manassas. The staff is very friendly and the sushi good for the area.

Minus one star for dirty, food-encrusted menus. My pet peeve!

A word of caution about non-sushi entrees... The Yakisoba and Teriyaki dishes tasted quite bland when I tried them. The chicken in the Teriyaki was un-marinated and there was really no Teriyaki sauce at all. The dishes were overwhelmed with cheap filler vegetables like bean sprouts and bell pepper, again which had no flavor.

Having changed ownership recently (the staff said around December 2006), this restaurant seems to be right on the edge of going downhill. Faded signs, dirty menus and shortcuts in the cooking do not a good review make. However, I'm going to try it out a few more times and hope that things improve. This place could be great!

Bamboo = awesome. Really good, fresh and well priced sushi. They have traditional and combo rolls, a crazy variety of other options on the menu and great service. Most of the staff are actually Japanese and welcome you in Japanese. The only thing that has a been a bit of a disappointment is the tempura, nothing special cuz I am usually a huge fan, oh well, plenty of other options! Have been here a handful of times and will likely be many more being that it is one of my husbands favorite.

My sweetie took me here for dinner after we bought our wedding rings, it was the perfect place for a snowy cold day.  They served appetizers of edamame and what they called bamboo rolls (fried wontons with a cream cheese filling).  We got the tuna and california rolls and had miso soup to go with it.  Very fresh and yummy and the service was good. We will be coming back....

While visiting Manassas, I had dinner there late Sat night, which I ordered Tuna & Yellow Tail Sashimi.  I totally enjoyed it -- 2 great aspects I loved about it: fresh and thick cut.

I'll definitely go back again on my next visit.  I'm delighted to find out that it has an Omakase-style dinner -- I look forward to what the chef can offer and impress me. :)

I don't know if it was late Sat night, the place wasn't that busy.  Yet, there were 3 servers working.  So, the service was relatively fast, even though I didn't sit at the sushi bar.
