Easiest review ever......simply read Cy K.'s review from 9/17.  :)

We usually use Bamboo Hut as a quick take out dinner, but I stopped in for lunch yesterday.  I had my same little spicy thai chicken wrap, sat at the counter, and watch the family ownership churn out one tasty looking lunch after another.

Quality food, quality people, clean little restaurant.   Support them!

Lots of Vegetarian options. This was my first time trying a healthy version of pho. I had the chicken pho and it was Great! Next time I would like to try one of their noodle dishes. Services was excellent.

If I'm in the area, I'll be back.

This place is super!  Its so hard to find anything resembling healthy food around Vancouver, but Bamboo Hut delivers convenient, tasty, healthy food.  My favorite dish here is the chicken teriyaki which you can order with steamed veggies.  Chicken is dark meat nicely grilled so its got a little crispy char on the outside, but is still very moist all the way through.  They put a nice drizzle of sauce over the chicken and veggies which is just enough to garnish (rather than drown) the meal.

Service is nice and friendly and tables are always clean.

Added bonus - you can get wifi from the Fred Meyers Next door!

I give this place 5 star all the time. New to Vancouver and gave this restaurant a try. I wasn't disappointed at all. What you see on the name board is what you get, "healthy" food. Wide vegetarian options and unlike other Chinese or Thai food, it is non-greasy. Just the right amount of spice level and oil and just the right portion unless you are super-eater.  Their pad thai is one of the item i go for over and over. Veggie soup is very subtle and delicious for the price. The peanut sauce is to die for. They have recently increased the price but still it is worth it every time. I take out food every time i hit Fred-Meyers. Do not judge this place from outside. Its one of hidden gem in Vancouver. Overall, you will love it when you eat it. Simply delicioso!

This is my favorite place in town, hands down. Thank goodness for the hours (they open later in the morning, are closed by 8 PM and aren't open on Sundays) and the fact that it's fifteen miles from my house, or else like half my paycheck would be going here.

My favorite dish is the crispy tofu and veggies over rice. I've tried maybe a dozen of the things they serve, but I come back to this every time. It's not super innovative, but it's classic and tastes like none other. The cook does something magical to this tofu. Normally I like my tofu cut in small pieces because I can't stand big gobs of soft, flavorless tofu, but like I said, this tofu is magical: it's in bigger pieces and yet is cooked perfectly. They also have some other great vegetarian and vegan options, like their newly-added shredded coconut soy chicken.

The drinks they offer are also wonderful. They have a bigger selection of beers and wines, and also have the amazing HOTLIPS sodas brought in from the pizza place in Portland. I find that the delicious all-natural acidity of the raspberry soda (ingredients are sparkling water, Willamette raspberries, lemon juice, and sugar) cuts perfectly through their teriyaki sauce.

Speaking of teriyaki sauce! This place has the best homemade teriyaki I have had anywhere. I honestly wish they sold it to me. I am not above filling little condiment tubs with it and sneaking it home in my purse. You know it's well-loved because if you come in later in the evening, like I did last night, the bottles they fill fresh every day are running low. They also make their sweet chili sauce from scratch. I don't find myself eating that a lot, but when I do, it's delish.

Aside from the food, which is divine and the atmosphere, which is perfectly adequate, the best part about this place is the people who work there. I was walking in with my boyfriend last night and I said, "Wonder what we'll talk about today!" Sure enough, when they were packing us up to leave, my favorite older gentleman comes over and starts up a conversation about supply and demand for soy. He is the most kindly and interesting fella. We have talked about so many random things in the year or so I've been coming here, from illnesses in our families to politics. He's always sweet, always has a piece of advice and a smile, and can't wait to tell us about the newest addition to their menu.

I'd say you should definitely give this place a try. They're quick, they're friendly, and their food is gonna fill you up and make you happy.

It was clear the two men at the register were new because they were completely unfamiliar with the menu and could not provide any menu advice beyond what they (or I) could read.

The food itself was good, not great. The disappointing part is how limited their servings are. For $2.75 I was give a salad that was iceberg lettuce and a third of a tomato. That's it. the house dressing was barely there and yes, I felt a bit cheated.

The veggie chicken over rice was served with one stalk of broccoli cut into fourths and three pieces of carrot spread apart to look like you actually had vegetables on the plate.

Had high hopes for this place after reading the menu and hope they are able to improve their service (and make their portions match their pricing) very soon.

I have been eating at Bamboo Hut for over 8 years. The owners and their family are always courteous and offer suggestions when asked..
The restaurant is very clean and wait for food is not long. I am a Nutrition Coach, and it is one of few places in the area I can send my clients that is low cal, sodium and fat. They will make my chicken as ordered, just grilled no sauce! Their chicken salad rolls are my favorite. For a quick stop for lunch or dinner check them out! Coach Connie

MMMM!!!!  I, along with most people, am not a huge fan of the reg chicken teriyaki joint that serves 18 variations of that one dish.  But do not be fooled, this place is nothing like the other 400 teriyaki joints around town.

The menu is vast!  They serve everything from pad thai, (which is very tasty and the noodles are perfectly cooked), to chicken curry with stewed potatoes, to some damn good Vietnamese iced coffee.  All of the ingredients are fresh.  The chicken they used is really good quality chicken breast.  It's not that breaded fake meat crap they serve elsewhere.

The service is awesome.  The staff is super friendly, the service is fast, and the prices are extremely reasonable.  The ambiance is not so much, but hey...this place does what it needs to do and will not disappoint.

Stopped in for a quick lunch. The odd thing is they don't open til 11am. You'd think a lunch place would open at say 10:30 but I guess not.

I had the Chicken Yakisoba, and it was pretty rockin! Everything was cooked just the way I like it. I was really excited about it. My only issues, no lunch special, it was almost $8. Pretty sure I paid extra for 3 pieces of carrot and 3 pieces of broccoli, and the Siracha had been watered down.
Overall I would probably eat here again because the plate of noodles made my stomach pleased for the rest of the day.

Great yakisoba. Lil high for the size and no lunch special.

Damn good food with a damn good price.  Definitely a great place to eat when you're finished running over the idiots idling in the parking lot at Fred Meyers.

The Yakisoba Noodles and Teriyaki Chicken is my recommendation; however, this is my first visit to the place, so I honestly haven't tried any of their other entrees.  There's tons of flavor in the Yakisoba noodles and the sauce is excellent!

This was okay.  There was a lot of variety, and plenty of vegetarian options for my husband.  It wasn't as good as I was hoping.  The atmosphere was a little off, and the food wasn't super, just okay.  I guess we'd go back, because it's in a convenient location by the Three Creeks Library and Fred Meyer, but it isn't somewhere I would go out of my way to go to now that I've tried it.

I was pleasantly surprised by Bamboo Hut. I did have some expectation of it being somewhat healthy, but only because the tagline beneath their main sign said "Healthy Grill". Though in many cases, the restaurant turns out to be anything but what its sign touts. I had noticed Bamboo Hut on previous visits to the Three Creeks Library and tonight it just so happened that I was also looking for a somewhat quick dinner that wasn't greasy fast food.

I was very pleased with the wide variety of Vegetarian options they had on their menu. I went in about 7:30 and there were probably 4 or 5 families all seated and eating. There were also a few folks picking up takeout orders. So for a strip-mall restaurant, I was already pretty impressed. I ordered the Teriyaki Vegetables over Brown Rice which came to $4.33 including tax. It may make me a snob or an elitist, but I asked the gentleman taking my order what their takeout containers looked like (to be sure they weren't styrofoam) and was not even given a strange look. I also asked that they not give me a plastic bag or any extra utensils and was also met with no confusion or dissension. In fact, instead of giving me the usual plastic takeout container, he offered me a paper option. Which was awesome! :-) (If I was really worth my Hippie Salt I wouldn't have gotten it "to go" in the first place) I barely had time to read an article in the newspaper sitting at the counter before my food was handed to me in a neat little white box.

I was a little disappointed to find literally only 4 broccoli florets and 3 large pieces of carrot when I opened my box. But! But but but, the moment I ate the first bite of broccoli I was no longer disappointed. It was not overcooked and was still rather bright green and crispy, as were the carrots (though they were bright orange instead of green, thankfully). The brown rice was fluffy and a little nutty and there was a little cup of teriyaki sauce on the side. The serving was probably what a reasonable portion would be if we all ate the smaller amounts we're supposed to. So it was just right.

I'll definitely be back to try out some other Veggie options on their menu...including the Veggie Wrap with Hoisin sauce mentioned in another review.

My friend wanted to meet here for lunch to celebrate her mid-term was over.  Her entire family  has been eating here once a week since the business opened, and she knows the menu by heart and always gets a vegetarian wrap with hoisin sauce.  It looked delicious, but I am addicted to Thai-style salad rolls, so I was thrilled to find them both with and without grilled chicken.  I must admit, however, that their chicken vegetable soup was the perfect accompaniment.  After we had finished eating?  I ordered two of  the same exact thing to go so that my husband and I could have it for dinner.   You have to admit, that is a pretty good recommendation.  How would I describe it?
Fresh, healthy and clean food,  the Bamboo Hut serves the  favorites of many different Asian cultures, and it is all  delicious. You won't be disappointed by the food or their very reasonable prices.  The owners are also very sweet and will do little things to make you feel you are a valued customer.  With such a rare attitude, it is almost worth going in just to feel special and appreciated.

My Mom and her friend are crazy about this place....so I gave it a whirl one night when they went. The food realy was great.....obviously very fresh and made very well. I had a pretty basic chicken teriyaki with an egg roll.

Both were really good and I would recommend this place highly.

Yum! Was always one of my favorites when I lived in Vancouver, and returning years later, it's still pretty much the same! Love the peanut sauce that comes with the charbroiled chicken and rice. The chicken pad thai was also wonderful!
