I took a customer to lunch here and he informed me once we there there that his office frequently orders take out from here as well.  He ordered the Lemon Chicken which looked fantastic and is a favorite of his.  I ordered the Generals Chicken.  It wasn't very spicy, but I don't like a lot of kick, so I enjoyed it.  The portions were just right for lunch and I left feeling full but not overly stuffed.

The service was good until the end; we were seated right away and able to order as soon as we were ready - great things when you're on lunch and have time constraints.  The food was served quickly.  We got our soup right away and the meal came before we had even finished our soup.

The only down side was that when we were ready to leave, the waitress was no where to be found, so we had to ask a bus boy to get our bill.

Nice, friendly and homestyle.  The restaurant is gracious and friendly.  I had the seafood tofu soup and it was wonderful.  I will be back.

I can't remember from how long it has been that I am eating Chinese food. My hobby it to try different Chinese food center and in the process I found this particular center. Not have much option in the menu to choose from very limited options. However the taste is decent but the service is great. One is a while would be good enough.

I drive over from East Daly City to pick up Chinese food at Bamboo Garden because it's consistently the best in my area. There are lots of greasy mom-and-pop Chinese eats in the neighborhood (Egg Roll King, etc.), but I think their food is awful.

I also love the fact that Bamboo Garden is never crowded and service is fast. It's worth it to me to drive an extra two-three miles for this take-out.

Fast service, and the food is pretty good.  Only a few gripes, no delivery and that my man loves to flirt with one of the waitresses.  We went there for lunch today, and I don't think he took his eyes off her once.  She's really nice though. Can't blame him.  Better her than me anyways....

Oh, love the crab wontons.

Will I go back? Sure... I can almost walk there

Bamboo Garden is one of those good small-town neighborhood Chinese restaurant.  They are a great place for take-outs or lunch/dinner during the work week and you are too lazy to cook.

They offer a variety of more authentic dishes, such as Zha-Jiang Mien, to westernized dishes, such as Sweet & Sour Pork.  So you should be able to find something that you'd like at a pretty good value.

out of the 2 Chinese spot in Brisbane, this one is over priced, and the fod servings are not that great, but the food is a 3 out 5, waiter service is cool and the location is good for parking and stuff

Wanna have a "Having A Penis Doesn't Make You Omniscient You Fucking Tool!!!" talk with your co-worker all the while having the argument not-so-greatly mediated by your boss?

Then this place is the place for it!!!  The waitresses kindly stayed behind the counter as I shot razor sharp daggers from my angry eyes right into his forehead as he inflated his own ego and deflected blame.  Then came and quickly placed down the Sweet and Sour Chicken and Mongolian Beef in one of the very rare breaks in our, uh, "conversation".  Kick ass waitressing skills, fer reals.

I'd come back again, if I somehow managed to find myself in Brisbane, but not with that dick head.  (yes, I'm still bitter)

It wouldn't be fair to give this place on two stars, but I really only wanted to give it 2.5. Like Limbo, it's not good, but it's not bad either.

They do a very descent and generous portion of Scrambled Eggs and Prawns, my favourite take out dish. They never fail to do a bad job on that, but it's a simple dish to make so you'd have to be a complete idiot to mess this one up anyway.

I came in to order prawns and scrambled eggs several times over the course of a week a few months back and was always greeted by a fairly attractive and saucily flirtatious hostess.

"Hey sweetie!" she would greet me patting me firm on the shoulder. "What can I getya babycakes? Prawns and scrambled eggs, hon? No problem, babe, I'll get a rush on that for you." So many affectations in the space of a minute; I can be a real whore for flattery sometimes so I was enticed to come back. Hell of a marketing plan, eh?

So I decided to venture on to other dishes, but soon became disenchanted.

This was several months back, so I don't remember exactly what else I ordered, but I remember one of the fish dishes consisted of greasy, mushy lumps of fish meat in a mediocre sauce.

Final analysis (very Mr. Spock of me), fantastic service (flirty hostess or no) and very nice decor. However there is much room for improvement in the food department.

You'll always have something to take home if you order one dish per person (which is the rule of thumb when going to Chinese restaurants).

I like almost everything on the menu, but the noodles are my favorite.  The Taiwanese-style vermicelli is the least greasy, but I like their combination chow-mein the best.

Yes, it's a place that doesn't have chopsticks on the table (they are by the cashier), but the food is fancy by my standards.

3.5 stars.  They have THE BEST beef anything!  Ginger beef and Beef Chowfun!!  Mmm-mmm!!  I'm very picky and will often forego meat if I think it's suspect.  But this place, it's very tender, flavorful and you can tell it's very fresh!!

They bring you fried wonton strips (which are ususally a bit on the cold side) and offer complimentary bowls of hot and sour soup.  Hmm.

The drawbacks, it's always packed during lunch.  The ambiance is just okay.  The service can be seemingly slow at times.  Otherwise no real complaints.  If you're in brisbane, and want chinese, this is the place.

I'm telling you, the chowfun is sooo flavorful. (Oh yeah, and skip on the potstickers, they wreak of gas.  maybe they use a gas grill to crisp them?!  I ate 3 but didnt get sick.  ;o)

I moved to Brisbane a few months ago after living in San Francisco for 10 years and this is now my new favorite Chinese restaurant in the bay area.

The service has always been prompt and courteous and the prices are very reasonable.  I'd highly recommend this place.

I've brought friends and co-workers to this restaurant and they always want to go back now.... everyone has their own favorite dish.

I used to really like this place. Then I found two chicken toenails in my Kung Pao Tofu. Now, even if I weren't a vegetarian, this would be pretty disgusting. That's it for me - this place is plain old gross.

Bamboo Garden is a great place for a fun, family dinner or for good take out or as a quiet place to unwind after a long week......

We almost always order the same thing: House Duck, the String Beans, Won Ton Soup, Chicken Chow Fun, Potstickers. It's always good, with fast and friendly service. They even have a private side room for parties. My daughter had one of her birthdays there and we had about six adults and ten kids with a face painter, balloons, lots of alcohol for the adults and juice for the kids---totally fun and easy to organize. Shan, the owner, helped us pull it together.

One day I came in with my kids and must have looked beat. I ordered a red wine and after I finished it, the waitress brought me another one--on the house! Sweet. They always do things like that there. I highly recommend you try them.

Yummy lunch specials or a la carte.  Busy at lunch but always a table available.  Friendly family staff is kept quite busy, so order right the first time and chow down!  Be sure to try the "Donut Chicken" (General Cho's.)  We call it Donut Chicken because of the denial we put ourselves in:  Let's go for Chinese, it's all stir-fried and health and stuff.  But don't we all love double deep fried chicken once we get there?

This place charges $1.50 per person for rice!  Want a refill on the rice? That will be another $1.50 per person.  Of course they don't tell you this when you order.  No charge for tea which was a nice surprise.  Food is OK.  Service so-so.  The other reviews of this place seem a little strange to say the least.  I hope this one seems a bit normal although this restaurant seems to bring out strong emotions.

Although we usually get take-out, we do sometimes dine in at Bamboo Garden.  The service is good and the food usually shows up quickly.  And there is no skimping on the portions.
Lots of tasty options.  If you like garlic, I recommend the Szechwan string beans or the Szechwan eggplant.  Yum!  Some other current favorites: onion pancakes, chicken in lettuce cups, and various seafood dishes.
Easy street parking, as with all Brisbane establishments.
