It has been many months ago since I have really enjoyed and liked anything like Bamboo52. This place was and will be one of my favorites. The decor, the music, the drinks, the ambiance, and location just makes me happy. This is also a wonderful place if you are considering inviting a group of friends to enjoy a few drink alongside with some Sushi. I highly recommend anyone to at least pay this spot a visit which I know you will enjoy very much.

I can't believe I have never reviewed this place, I've been here a ton of times, and its always great. This is not only a great place for happy hour but its also a great place for a great sushi dinner. I enjoy places that serve to different purposes. During happy hour this place is packed I believe all the drinks are 1/2 off, they have a DJ that "spins" great top 40s so it keeps the energy in the place moving. At night its usually a bit more relaxed and laid back for dinner service. The sushi here is always fresh and delicious. And they have this great after midnight happy hour where all sushi rolls are half off.

If you decided to Bamboo your 52 don't forget to dabble in the volcano bowl!

Bamboo 52 looked so promising from the outside. But the instant my friend and I stepped in, the problems began:

- The hostess led us to a table and set the menus down. An umbrella was hooked to the back of the chair, so I asked the hostess if someone was already sitting there. She didn't know so she steered us to another table.
- The cocktails were half-off because of happy hour, but we were charged $5 when the original prices were $9.50 and $9.75. Either their calculator broke or they shouldn't advertise half-off. Regardless, the drinks didn't taste good. My friend's drink was mostly alcohol and hardly anything else.
- The chicken roll, composed of fried chicken, avocado and cucumber with buffalo BBQ sauce, was gross. The chicken and rice were hard and cold, and it took forever to chew through these.
- We sat at a tiny high-table with bar seats. All the bottles (and a candle) were lined up against the edge of the table, but the table wasn't lined up against the wall. So we accidentally knocked over the soy sauce bottle, candle, and a glass of water over the table. The smell of extinguished smoke was very-much present during the entire meal.

All that said, the spicy tuna tartar appetizer and the Chilean sea bass rolls were pretty good. And our waiter was very enthusiastic and helpful. However, it didn't matter much since the majority of the food and drinks weren't great.

Come by all means if you want a lounge-like atmosphere where you have to shout above the raging music and drink fancy-named cocktails. But don't come here if you expect quality food.

This place was packed at 5:30 PM on a Friday night!  That in itself is good enough to visit and see what is going on.  Bamboo 52 is really off the beaten path and I honestly would not know of its existence had my friend not hosted a HH here.

The drinks were pretty decent and half off until 9 PM!  I had a mojito that surprised the heck out of me, but I hear the hurricanes were strong and more bang for your buck.  But they don't skimp on the alcohol in the drinks.  Others in my party ordered sushi which didn't look so appetizing.  I recommend this place if you are in the area, but be warned it's packed until the half price special is over.

Went for cheap-o drinks before a show. Handy for that, in no way a destination. The crowds were not really my scene, and the waitress looked VERY stressed. All in all, ok if you're in the area and want a quick cheap drink.

This is a great spot in a great location in Hell's Kitchen.  What a surprise.  Nice decor, GREAT music with a DJ playing all throughout the night, a lounge area that looked like what could be a great spot to lounge at after dinner.  The food was AMAZING!  Every sushi roll we ordered was phenomenal.  The drinks were awesome as well.  The service was great too and it really helped to have a great ambiance with fun music.  Being that we were in NYC on vacation, this was a great spot to hang for dinner.  The dessert we got was OUTRAGEOUS!...marshmellow covered icecream??? who would've thought but it was out of this world...I have already recommended this place to friends and I will always recommend it.  Great bars around the area...therefore a great spot to start out the night!

I only ventured out here because of my http://restaurant.com certificate...
Sushi was good enough and the space is kind of cheesy. Our rolls came out on what looked like plastic cutting boards...not impressed.

My friend wanted to hook up with a guy for her birthday so we came here for happy hour but we find only the Gay crowd. However, our night was definitely not disappointing because drinks were mostly good and cheap, Debbie the waitress was super friendly and the gays we met were awesome and funny.

5 free drinks on your birthday!!

Also, the poles in the lounge area can be used as firemen poles or stripper poles. Just letting you know. :)

I really want to like Bamboo 52, but it just keeps getting more difficult to commend the place.  After my terrible experience there last time, the owners and management were gracious enough to ask me back to re-live a better experience.  I went on friday nite and it was quite busy, but manageable.  The hostess was prompt and said a table would be about 15 minutes.  I grabbed a drink at the bar and about 10 minutes goes by and we were seated.  This YELPERs is where is went wrong...My date and I sat and about a minute later a waitress by the name of ALICE comes up and yells, "you cant sit here, you were at the bar, GET UP". We asked what the problem was and she continued to tell me to get up the table was reserved.  We told her we were sat by the hostess.  Alice continued her rant.  I was livid.  We went to the host who sat us and the manager.  We sat and the first drink was on the house. I have never been treated so rudely by a server.

Anyway...The manager Jim and my new server Vince were very accommodating for the rest of the dinner and the service was great along with the meal.  They both were very attentive and happy to make sure the rest of the nite went well.  Spicy Tuna Tartar was great (very spicy), Greco's Entree (a feast of sushi) was good and the rest of the nite was ok.

Even with Vince and Jim, I still leave Bamboo 52 with a bad taste in my mouth.  It was supposed to be a good experience to make up for the previous one, but Alice simply ruined it for me.  Never should a server speak to a patron the way we were, let alone being screamed at and told to get up.

I really want to like Bamboo 52.  If you go I'm sure you'll like it, just stay away from Alice!

I come to Bamboo 52 a few times a month and always have a pleasurable experience. I like the decor and mixed crowd. Gay enough to not feel like I'm on the Upper West Side, but mixed enough to take my Catholic mom and not freak her out.

Happy hour from 12-9? Can't beat that! Definitely one of my Hell's Kitchen Happy Hour standbys.Their martinis are absolutely delicious, half priced at happy hour. The basil pear is my FAVORITE. Muddled pear and basil with vodka--not too sweet and completely refreshing. The Sake-tini is also great for something a little different. The BooHoo52 (watermelon vodka with soda and cranberry) has been a little sweet for my taste. I like that happy hour is EVERYWHERE at bamboo 52--at the tables, outside, cocktail section, and not just limited to the bar. It can get a little loud and overcrowded in the after-work hours, sometimes hard to find a table or a place at the bar.

The sushi is some of my favorite in town, though not inexpensive. I often do myself in by going for cheap drinks at happy hour and racking up my bill with sushi rolls..ooops..oh, and the Fantasy role is TO DIE FOR! Shrimp tempura and banana topped with Eel and avocado. Eat them up, YUM!!!

Having a party of any kind? Bamboo 52 is PERFECT. Had my b-day party here this year and it worked out beautifully. They have a back area that you can reserve for special occasions. It's not a private room so much as a separate area--just part of the restaurant that's slightly sectioned off, usually public unless there's a reservation. Classy decor, plenty of space, great service throughout the entire place.

Oh, and in summer they have this cute patio/garden area in the back with umbrellas over the tables. I love it because it is completely off the street, so you're not screaming over any stank dump truck driving by.

5 stars for half off happy hour until 9pm every damn day.

-1 star for overpriced entirely average sushi that makes me have to change locales to suit my hunger, just when I'm about to start having a really good night.

This is a great after-work place, They have a really good and strong drink called the Volcano that's around $5 during happy hour, which lasts until 9pm. The sushi is OK but overpriced, a spicy tuna roll is $8.00, but the with price of the drinks it all evens out.

The decor is really nice and the bartenders and wait staff are great. Even though the sushi is pricey I keep coming back because of the whole package.

They have a great white chocolate covered sorbet dessert that's worth trying.

Not a bad bar / restaurant, though I feel the place is trying to satisfy every which time of customer.  It gets full points for food and decor, drinks were a bit weak and the atmosphere was bit too routy.

Bamboo has a DJ booth, a full bar, lounge areas and a sushi table all within 20 feet away from one another.  So unless you want to eat some sushi, listen to techno music, watch the Yankee game while hearing all the people by the bar yell at a bad play by Posada, then I would suggest another place.

This place is PERFECT. We have enjoyed the owner's other bar around the corner and actual live on 52nd street at the Link, so we decided to check it out.

We were going to have a drink at the outdoor patio then come in for dinner. The hostess told us we could have dinner on the patio...perfect. The weather was beautiful.

Our server was Amanda. She made great recommendations. We have a leisurely evening. We started with some appetizers and drinks. Then we ordered our sushi.

I am not a big sushi eater, well, maybe now I am. We had the lovely roll, fantasy roll and nurato. Everything was...perfect.

Now our server told us the owners have a place called "123 Burger Shot Beer. Can't wait to try it.

I'll start off with a compliment.  The sushi was ok...but the other food was disgusting and sent back (microwaved "tempura" shrimp?) Gross. And $15!!!  Wine was below par.  Atmosphere is trying too hard to be hip.  Disco ball in the sushi bar?  A DJ?  Lame lame lame vibe, lame food....loud and way too expensive for what it is.  Cheesy.

Not recommended.  At least not for happy hour.  I came because I read about the great happy hour special and was really disappointed.  They advertise their special as "half off drinks".  The bartender then informed us that the special was "roughly" half off.  In the end, our bill barely seemed discounted.  My husband did order a drink that was not on the menu and it certainly looked like they charged us full price for it, even though the bartender assured us it would be included in the special.

The mixed drinks were ok, but small, and really, really cheesy (complete with paper umbrella).  I also got a glass of white wine and it was horrible.

The place has potential - the decor is pretty cool and there's a garden.  Execution is just lacking.

Bamboo 52 is the best place ever for happy hour!  Seriously.  Drinks are about $5 a pop and strong too.  The servers are cute and super nice..

I came here with Letitia W. and Juliet F.  for a late night happy hour and we were impressed.  We ended up downing about 3-4 drinks a person.  If you like sweet drinks, try out Lycherita and Boohoo 52.  If Jim's there, I suggest ordering some of his special off-menu drinks.  They'll send you to peach heaven!

The sushi there is definitely fresh but a little pricey.  We got the Naruto roll and the Chirashi Special.  Both were delicious but not worth the $36 price tag.

When I left, I was toasty enough to walk back to the hotel without a jacket.  Getting drunk in NY: Mission accomplished.

Do yourself a favor and go for the drinks. You will not be disappointed (or sober)!

I went here with some girlfriends, in search of a good happy hour place. Their prices are on the steep side for really average sushi ($8 for a spicy tuna roll is ridiculous in my book), the service was practically non-existent (we had so little water, it was like the sahara) though the waitress was very nice, the 2 times she spoke to us (once at the beginning to take our order and once at the end to give us the check).
One friend ordered a frozen margarita, and when it showed up on the rocks, the waitress tried to tell her that it was just so hot it had melted. Hah! Not coming back here.

I thought the novelty of a clubby sushi bar lounge with a music spinning DJ had worn off since I left Uni eons ago...guess I'm wrong. After all, hipsterious Asians need a place to roam once the metal security gates roll down at St. Alp's bubble teahouse. There aren't many great dining establishments in the Theater district/Hell's Kitchen area. Most of the time, ambience and decor are more interesting than the food itself.

My fusian posse wanted to come here for happy hour and enjoy the exotic sounding fruit cocktails in the bamboo garden. The moment we entered, a leggy hostess who wore a skin tight vinyl mini skirt and yellow platform heels greeted us. The only male member of our group seemed to enjoy the sight of her behind as she catwalked back & forth looking for an open table for us. Luckily, we managed to score a table in the garden after a 10-minute wait thanks to our team charmer.

Everyone seemed happy with their lychee margaritas and pear martinis, but I only stuck with the Kelso & Newcastle beers. Not quite an impressive beer selection, but at $4-$5 for a pint...I'm not complaining.

I admit I'm not a sushi-sashimi lover. Raw fish in my opinion is tasteless and the jelly texture does not appeal to me no matter how much soy & wasabi is added to it. The chef however does a pretty good job in creatively dressing up each dish with unusual ingredient combinations.

I was surprised to see a "fried chicken" roll on the menu as well as "cream cheese" in the mock crab roll. My favorites were the Lovely Roll of Chilean sea bass tempura topped with avocado & garlic sauce and the Philadelphia roll topped with spicy salmon and tobiko. These are lightweight dishes, but more flavorful than I expected.

My only gripe with most sushi joints is I always end up leaving feeling very hungry. If you see me ordering from the dollar menu at a Mickey D's or Wendy's before 10pm, you'll know I just had sushi for dinner.

I had my birthday party there in June (summer 2009 on a Sunday afternoon) and I had the best time ever. EVERYONE there was extremely delightful. Edwin (one of the managers) helped me pick out the platters to order and was an extremely nice person.  It made the process that less stressful.  I had ordered several platters of food and it was all delicious. I  reserved the lounge in the back and the outdoor seating area.  My guests were very impressed with both the space and the food. The drink specials were also amazing. Not to mention, I received free drink tickets b/c it was my birthday!!  I can't believe I waited this long to write a review. All my friends said they would keep going back. They didn't know it existed before I had my party there.  Thank you, Bamboo 52!!

So, cons? This place is way popular. And I know that not just because it has 89 reviews already, but because it was PACKED the Friday I went. But, pros, it's very easy to do this place affordably. I went at happy hour- which goes until 9pm!- and so I was able to have two cocktails and share a sushi platter with two extra rolls with two friends, and it came to thirty-two bucks each, after tip. Not too shabby! But the real question- how was it? I had zero complaints. I especially enjoyed the Japanese pickle roll- perhaps because it was the only thing that was new to me, but it was very unique, and very tasty. Their menu was extremely varied- especially for drinks!- so there's a lot for everyone. In fact, if I recall correctly (read: two cocktails- one of which was nearly finished before any of that sushi made its way to the table!), there was even a good amount of non-sushi Japanese food, for non-sushi people.

The con for me was the crowd, which did lead to the headache of the evening- it took about fifteen minutes or so for our waitress to bring us change, because she kept saying, "There wasn't any." Really? A place that packed, even the bar doesn't have any small bills? We were annoyed. But everything else was so enjoyable that I'd definitely be up for hitting this place up again!

This place is great!!! It has everything... good ambiance, good music, great food, and great wait staff.

My friends and I went on a Saturday night. for their Happy Hour from noon to 9. They have it everyday (i think). It wasn't too crowded although the place is on the small side. We were seated right away. With happy hour prices, the drinks turned out to be about $5 each. The drinks were great. Everyone ordered something different because we wanted to try everything. And if it's your birthday, you get 5 complimentary drinks with ID of course.

After a few drinks, our waiter brought over 3 different peach concoctions that were sweet and strong. They don't have names since he just made them up when he used to bartend there. His name is Jim, so I just called them Jim 1, 2, and 3.

Have I mentioned the food yet? No? If you didn't know yet, this place is a sushi restaurant. We ordered the sashimi platter called Hell's Kitchen Chirashi Special with 18 different sashimi (2-3 pieces each). This was another recommendation from our waiter. It's $27. Wow it was good. I think this was the first time I ever had Super White Tuna. All the fish was so fresh. There's also a big rice ball. Trust me... you want to eat some carbs after all that fish.

Here's one for all you anime fans out there. We ordered the Naruto Roll which was $9. It has tuna, salmon, yellow tail, avocado and tobiko wrapped in thin sheet of cucumber. There is no rice in this roll. Its really refreshing when you eat it. Amazing.

Overall... Bamboo 52 is a great place to come for great drinks and food. There's a different DJ every night. However, this place can also be pretty pricey. So be forewarned.

HAPPY HOUR TIL 9PM DURING THE WEEK!!!!
DRINK FOR FREE ON YOUR BIRTHDAY!

Hello?!?!?  My friend took us there for her birthday one night.  We had a GREAT time in the back terrace area, did not have to wait for a table on a busy night and the place was nice and bustling.  The sushi was delicious (which surprised me actually).  The detail down to the specialty drinks in their own special glasses is fantastic.

It's in the middle of nowhere on 52nd where there are mostly offices, but it's a great spot once you walk in!  The bouncer likes to talk to you, though, while you're outside so be prepared for that.

after a long hiatus, i returned to my standby happy hour place to find that it's received a facelift, and undergone an unfortunate renovation in management as well.

a surly manager gestured toward the bar area when my friend and i replied that we were there for drinks, but as we approached the bar, we realized there were no more seats.  a very nice waitress apologized that there were no more bar stools, and offered to sit us at one of the high tables in the bar area after explaining that the tables were reserved for dinner service.  at a quick glance, we saw that only one out of the 15 or so tables were full, so we happily accepted the offer for the table.  once shown to the table, the manager immediately walked over and reprimanded the waitress in front of us for seating us, reiterating that ALL the tables were reserved for dinner patrons.

with that kind of attitude, we left.  and you know what?  we went to happy hour at a place around the corner, were seated at a table, ended up ordering food, and ultimately left dropping almost $100.

what a sad example of what happens when moronic people are given just enough power to make bad business decisions, and trip around to belittle the people they work with.

I took several friends here for a happy hour for a birthday party. I wanted to find a recession-friendly place that was still fun, and I landed at exactly the right spot.

Jim is the best server I've ever had. I've worked at 14 restaurants, and he's the most patient/funny/helpful of anyone I've worked with. Maybe we caught him on a good day, but even so. He split all our checks without complaining! THANKS JIM!

The happy hour lasts until 9pm, with a 50% discount off all. $4 mojitos that weren't all sugar! Have you heard of such a thing in this town?

I ordered a party platter for the table ($50 for 64 pieces of sushi, 4 types of fish) which came out at the time I requested in the email a week before. It wasn't the most delicious sushi, but it did the trick for 10 friends showing up after work.

The music wasn't so loud we couldn't easily talk, it was crowded with mostly pretty people, and again, a good mojito for $4. I can't get over that.

I went here after work last Friday for the half-off drinks.  They were out of the small bottles of pear sake, so I took the suggestion of the waiter of having the asian pear martini.  It was actually quite delicious.  However, several of my colleagues returned their margarita concoction.  In addition to my drink, I had two eel nigiris and the seabass tempura roll.  The sushi is pretty good.  Oh, and after midnight?, the sushi is 30% off (according to the waiter).

The only complaint I have is the crowd.  You will have to see for yourself.

Bamboo 52, What an extraordinary place to have a great time. You could not ask for more!! Happy hour, 1/2 price drinks, from noon through 9PM. 1/2 price Sushi from midnight till 2 AM. You can NOT get a better deal.

The food is out of this world and so are the drinks. Great atmosphere gorgeous wait and bar staff. We ordered the lobster salad, one of most delightful dishes I ever had. Very delicate, slightly crunchy, good portions.  To compliment the salad, we ordered the LOVELY & RAINBOW ROLL from the sushi bar, very fresh and delicious.

On top of that they have a DJ starting I think at 6 PM till late. Bamboo 52 is the place to see everybody and to be seen.  If its your birthday, they will serve you 5 free drinks on the house.

Great place to hang and enjoy a nice evening.

Came here to celebrate a friend bday, enjoy happy hour and use our $25 http://restaurant.com gift certificate. it wasnt overly crowded 6:30pm on a friday and was able to get a table for dinner. 5 free drinks if its your birthday is great, the drinks were strong and had a nice selection. you can literally pick any 5!! for happy hour most of the drinks were /12 off which is a great deal. Granted we were drinking on empty stomaches, my friend was done after 3 drinks. the drinks we got were Bambootino, Volcano (really strong), Mojito, and the Martini with pear puree (strong). all of them were really good.

For food, we ordered the chef greco's platter and a lovely roll. the sushi was average, fresh pretty fresh, but some tasted a little stale/old. the rolls that came with the platter was good, i really liked the bamboo roll. the lovely roll was probably the best roll of the night, forgot what was in it but it was damn good. the wait for the food was a little long, but worth it.

total damager after the 25$ certificate was $38. really really cheap for 2 people.

there are better sushi food places in the city, but i would definitely come back here again for happy  hour and/or any birthday function

Best place to go if you've ever wanted to watch a Yankees game, get your groove on, and eat sushi... all at the same place.  All in all, very distracting.  I would have given it 1 star, but there was a redeeming factor -- happy hour until 9pm and 5 free drinks on your birthday!  5 very strong drinks.

I love the loungey vibe of this place.  And I love their Basil Pear Martini, sans the basil since I'm not a fan.  It is so yummy, especially with the freshly pureed pear.  However, the sushi itself is just ok.  I think it could be fresher.

Since I was here at about 3pm in the afternoon where drinks were also half price for happy hour, that's about all I can tell you.  They do also offer a menu of sushi for a lower price during happy hour as well.  But the restaurant was mostly empty for a Monday afternoon, so we were the only ones there, which gave us privacy in the patio in the back.  Service was a little bit intermittent, and I think that do more with the fact that we kept sending him away because he hadn't made up our minds so he didn't want to come back and repeatedly bother us, and because the server waited inside and can't see us while we were outside.  So a little bit slow, but friendly and helpful in picking out our drinks.

So while most things about this place I liked, I"m only giving it three stars because its core product - the sushi - could be better.

Bamboo 52 was the site of my most recent bday gathering.
Good happy hour specials, attentive bartenders, solid signature drinks. After the fifth or sixth drink, ordering a *Bamboo Boo* became too delightful & I kept saying the name over & over again (or so I'm told)

I'll happily visit again.

Went on a Yelp search for a good midtown happy hour spot yesterday. It was harder than I thought to find some good suggestions for that area. I finally decided on Bamboo 52 based on the reviews for half priced drink specials.

Most of the drinks were in fact half off for happy hour. My friend and I both ordered the Geisha mojito, which was WAY too sweet. We also split a couple appetizers. The salmon tartar was really small, but tasty. We also ordered the Spicy Bamboo52 Roll for $10.00 (nothing to call home about)

The atmosphere was nice, low lighting, low tables, good service, DJ playing some decent tunes. A pretty good option for a post work gathering...I'm still looking for something better. Suggestions anyone?

I came here last night with a friend, and as always, I leave Bamboo 52 feeling great.

It was relatively empty around 6pm, but it got busier as the night went on.  The loud music makes it somewhat hard to hear the person sitting directly across from you, and for some strange reason, it smelled a bit "fishy" last night.  Still, I would recommend this place.  It has a cute atmosphere, and they have good service.

I always get the lobster salad with wasabi dressing ($8) for the appetizer.  It's soooo good, and you get a good amount of lobster meat!  It's also well-priced, considering that six meat dumplings cost the same.  Tell me, why would you get dumplings that you could get super cheap elsewhere when you could get lobster??

For the main course, I tend to get the dragon roll ($12) simply because I love avocado.  It's always well-made and tasty.

I've never had dessert here, but we decided to try it out.  We got the fruit roll ($8).  It has fresh fruit (i think apple, strawberry, mango, avocado) wrapped in rice paper over chocolate.  It's good but not worth the money.  The chocolate and strawberries really overwhelm all the other flavors, so it's not as spectacular as it sounds.

TIP: Have your birthday dinner here!  You'll get 5 free drinks.  That's crazy and unheard of, right?  If your birthday is the day before or the day after your visit, you still qualify for their birthday special.

AND/OR

Use a http://restaurant.com gift certificate.  You can buy a $25 http://restaurant.com gift certificate for Bamboo 52 for just $2 (two dollars) until 2/28/09 (using promo code DINE).  Usually it's $10 for a $25 gift certificate.  The only catch is that you have to spend at least $35 on actual food during dinner.

The lovely roll is soooooooooo good! I tried some of my friends.  It was very delicious.
The drinks are very interesting and unique.  And on your birthday, you get free drinks (ID required, max 1 day off). I got the geisha mojito, which was really good.
The bartenders and staff were singing along to the songs and it was a very fun friendly atmosphere.  Would recommend this place for some good food and drinks.  Prices are good.

I've been here more times than I care to admit but you know what? I'm ok with that since I always seem to get tipsy here for under $15. The happy hour is phenomenal with 1/2 off most of their drinks.  Awesome.

There's usually a  pretty good crowd here, all of whom obviously enjoy drinking and blowing off steam after work.  And towards the latter part of the week (from what I've noticed), they bring in a DJ to drown out your conversation.  The DJ last time was a complete riot in that he was just so BAD.  He was jamming away on his headphones and was probably the only one in the bar who actually enjoyed the music that was being played.

I should also mention that the food isn't half bad....not the greatest sushi in the world but definitely not the worst.  And I mean, when you pair it with 1/2 price drinks, who cares anyway?

Overall, Bamboo 52 is a solid happy hour choice.  Just beware of the DJ.

The sushi is good, and it has great priced happy hour drinks, but the atmosphere is ruined by its extremely loud music!

The crowd is very eclectic and ethnically diverse, which is great for a change.  The restaurant is cute enough. Not super fancy, but the name definitely suits the decor. The service is very blaah... One would think that the loud music would create a fun, energized environment for the staff, but it does not!

It's unfortunate that one cannot hold a conversation with a colleague or friend because the music is louder than that of a club. I enjoy loud music, but not at a restaurant that should have a more tranquil setting. The loudness is such a turn-off that I could not enjoy the atmosphere and decor, and I spent most of my time saying "What?," "huh?"

i just came here tonight (friday) with some girlfriends for happy hour.. i had the house salad (decent) and the lobster tango roll (thanks for the lack of lobster)..

the drinks were ok.. they are all half priced during happy hour, so spend anywhere between $4-6 a pop.. i usually don't get fruity, girly drinks but my friends and i got the "sugar dong", which was ok .. but tasted a bit like robitussin.  i guess they weren't that bad, since i had 3 of them.

minus 1 star for waitress w/ attitude
