I'd hate to go this far but I'd say it's like THE place to stay, or at least that I've had the pleasure of staying, in baltimore.  really comfortable rooms and beds...ask for a room w/ a view of the waterfront (preferrable on an upper level in the tower).  Have a great memory of hanging out in the room in a bathrobe on the bed, just looking at the view...very nice.  walkable to the shops and restaurants of the main innerhabor but not the closest hotel to it...but that's okay.

Incredible harbor view.
Rooms were nice and comfy.
Our family had a room on the 31st floor and another on the 30th.
Only thing I didn't like was their small pool. It took no effort to float, because all the salt in the water. I know, I know, It's not like you're supposed to drink the water, but let's face it, you're swimming in it, some of it's gonna get into your mouth.

How does a girl almost completely ruin her engagement proposal from her boyfriend-turned-fiancee? Really, I have been silently giggling at the almost perfect night at this Marriott this weekend; and, how I managed to totally throw my fiancee's surprise plans out of the hotel's scenic window! The quizzical look on the staff member's face after she saw us standing in front of the room with bags at an unexpected hour - priceless. That's another story altogether...

The hotel, itself, was beautiful. The valet service was a bit inattentive initially, but came through in the end. The location is prime, and obviously a major factor of why I'm giving it four stars. The room was nice, but the bathroom lacked a certain distinction that I've seen in many other hotels. The best part about our room was the view. Actually, we got a surprise peek at a "neighbor's" not-so-private party in his hotel window... All we saw were socks up in the air - perhaps he had just proposed to her, too? Although the bed was comfortable, I didn't sleep much from pure excitement.

Overall, the hotel service & charm of the Waterfront contributed to its excellence, so if you're ever in town you know where to book.....

This is definitely the best place to stay in down town Baltimore. The hotel is modern and has a chic elegance to its decor. You feel pretty good checking into this building. The beds are comfy and the staff are friendly. The only issue I ran into was at the bar, where the bartender was a huge D-BAG!! Other than that I have always had a great stay here. :)

Hopefully that bartender is fired by now......!

I was here for a conference, but did not actually stay in the hotel.  I found the staff to be friendly and helpful and overall the facilities that were provided for the conference were very nice.  Great views of the water from all over the place.

Why does this hotel hate me?
They were so great when I first arrived, and there have been some other occasional bright spots, but overall there service is atrocious.
I was given MAJOR attitude by the front desk staff when I was asking for help, they canceled guest rooms earlier than they should have, and this morning I'm still waiting for the room service I requested to have delivered an hour ago.  What's the point of requesting room service at a certain time if they're just going to ignore you?  I called guest services to see if they had received my request, was put on eternal hold, and then disconnected.
Maybe the girl that was so irritated to have to deal with me last night spread the word to blacklist me?
Now I know why I don't typically stay at Marriotts when traveling.
The hotel itself seems nice enough, and appeared to be in a decent location based on my cab ride in, but with the amount I travel, this level of service makes this a great big "do not return" on my list.

I actually really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The bed was probably one of the most comfortable hotel beds Ive slept in and let me tell you, Ive slept in quite a few hotel beds. This hotel is a little on the expensive side but has a great view and a great location for those travelers who want to be near the harbor. Its literally on the harbor. Don't bother trying to drink in the hot tub though. There is always a "lifeguard" on duty. Yes, I am aware that you're really never supposed to but I was trying to get away with it anyway. Its also connected to a mall so for those who like shopping, its quite convenient.

Again with the standard three stars for a big, convention hotel.

Although, I have to say that all of the staff here has been super friendly, helpful and kind.  From great directions to a perfect checkin experience and even nice room service servers, everything has been great.

The rooms are a tad run down, but they're in the middle of a renovation.

The Internet went down for almost 24 hours, which was inconvenient, but what are you gonna do?

There was also a city water main break and the hotel was nice enough to deliver a letter explaining such and two bottles of water to each room, which I thought was really nice.

I got my room for $125 on priceline, so I am a happy camper.

Expensive, but really nice. Most of the rooms have stunning views of the waterfront. The beds are really comfortable. AND they have a great weekend brunch. It too is expensive, but there are a lot of options and boy is it tasty!

If you have special people coming from out of town it is a great place to stay...and walking distance from the inner harbor!

I agree with Adam -- this is the place to stay in Baltimore. Some great harbor views, comfortable beds, walking distance to inner harbor and Fell's Point. They used to have a great happy hour with shrimp cocktail and martini carts -- not sure if they still do....

Great location and very nice hotel. My recommendation is to stay away from the brunch. The food looks fantastic and the weekend brunch is right on the harbor but the taste is average. At $20 per person (I think) Your money is best spent at some of the other establishments in the Fells Point area.

There is absolutely no nicer hotel in Baltimore.  Don't stay n the Inner Harbor hotels, go to Harbor East where the Marriott Waterfront is located.  You will be walking distance to the Inner Harbor and Fells Point, an historic seaport.   The lobby will wow you with its marble floors and huge floral bouquets.  Everyone from the parking attendant to housekeeping goes out of his/her way to help you and make you feel welcome.  Even the least appointed room has luxurious bedding and interesting views.  I stayed in the Roosevelt Suite one night and it was pure sultan luxury!  People from all over the world visit here and the staff is international.  The Grille 700 has great steaks and a short ribs appetizer that is a taste explosion.  Kozmos Lounge has a great happy hour.  (I reviewed that separately.)  This hotel beats out the Intercontinental and the new Hilton for its inviting decor, and family of employees who embrace you and won't quit until you are happy.  The fabulous restaurants Oceanaire, Cinghiale, Roy's, Fleming's, Ra, Pazo, James Joyce Irish Pub, Talara, Lebanese Taverna, Charleston and others are within easy walking distance.  Also, Little Italy is right there.
