this is a review for the farmers market PRE-9am.  the atmosphere totally changes in to stroller tetris thereafter which i think sullies any awesome experience.

i don't really buy much produce because i love preserved food and the sweet zip of canned vegetables but the greens truck rules - a big bag of arugula and mesculin for $4.  the good people with fresh butter beans and limas sell bags for $2/lb and freeze well.

the curry shack provides my favorite snack in baltimore.  wonderful little curry puffs make a lovely walk-around breakfast and reheat well (or i'd guess they would - they never make it very long around me).

zeke's coffee is fresh and the line moves quickly - the flower people sell beautiful, unique arrangements for $5 (coxcombs!) and those baby donuts are perfect if you want to eat 20 melty lardlets and sweat unicorns for the rest of the morning.

This is one of the better farmer's markets I've ever been to. Excellent variety of vendors and produce. I don't do any shopping in grocery stores for vegetables, fruits or herbs because it's much cheaper and fresher here. The corn vendor who sells off the back of his pick-up truck has the sweetest tasting corn you'll ever get.

Part of the fun is walking around, looking at everything and everyone. We usually run into friends. It's also a great place to eat breakfast, with so many choices... Thai food, mushroom sandwiches, pit beef, omelets, you name it.

Parking can get crowded, but with the amount of people coming and going, it's not usually too hard to find a space.

I prefer this one over the Waverly market simply because of it's sheer size. However, while Waverly operates year round, this one is only open May - Dec. So get while the gettin's good.
