One of the Business' Favorite Reviews What's This?
Hah, I'm such a Gringo.... I wrote this review for the wrong restaurant!
On the invite of a recommendation of a friend, a bunch of us took the BART out from Mission and 2nd to have some papusas. The bunch of us who took BART were a little late and we had to wait outside for tables. An apparent usual who was standing outside waiting for a to-go order, had told us that the only real papusas on their menu were the first part, not the specialty ones.
Following that advice, we ordered all our food. It took a little while, but when it finally came out we were chowing down. For a big guy like me, two of them filled me up just right... and while I could have gone for bite #3, I'm actually TRYING to watch my diet.
5 stars. I love the spot. They were showing Live Bundesliga playing, plus the service is excellent. Come here for the Papusas. Order 2 first, and work from there.
Great place to sit outside and grab a snack. The coffee was hot and the food was good. Service was a little slow, maybe because we were outside, maybe because we were gringos. Whuteva. I like this spot, i'll go back.
I had the skirt steak with onions. It hit the spot. I sampled the papusas, tasted savory and rich like it should. The plaintains may have been the best part of the meal though. Soft sweet and hot without being drowned in syrup. The dishes come with cabbage and a little sie of pickled veggies so take care not to over-order.
I stopped in for the first time tonight to try some papusas. They are awesome. One of the most unique is the 'Italiana y queso', which has proscuitto and cheese, a great pairing!
The place was packed w/ families at dinner time, it looks really popular. I will definitely be back to try more of the menu!
The pupusas are bomb. Yes I said it. They are warm and melt in your mouth and are such a nice treat. Perfect place to grab a beer with a bunch of friends, sit down and relax.
Being an SF native, how could you live or hang out in the Mission without coming to Balompie! I LOVE this place and have loved it since my childhood!! The pupusas are on hit! But my favorite is the breakfast with huevos con chorizo, casamiento and crema... and the handmade tortillas! mmmmmmmm.... I always look forward to Balompie. I love it!
Balompie's a good place to go for Salvadorean food - it's also the only place I know of. You can find the sister restaurants (Balompie Cafes #2 and #3) in SOMA and Bernal Heights, respectively. Oh, and Balompie is the Spanish word for soccer, so expect a soccer themed decor and televised soccer games.
Food: 2 stars. As it was my first time here, I had to try the Salvadorean Sampler (1 pupusa, 1 fried or steamed yuca, and 1 pastel). I opted for the chicharron y queso pupusa (ground pork with cheese), steamed yuca with beef, and pastel with chicken. The yuca (aka cassava) is a starchy root similar to potato. While there was nothing wrong with the yuca, I found that it didn't carry that much taste, along with the grilled beef on top. The pupusa was mealy, but the flavor of the meat was akin to what I could get from frozen microwave-able burritos. The best of the bunch was the pastel, which is similar to an empanada. I liked it for its crunchiness and the fact that it wasn't too flaky.
Service: 3 stars. When I first walked in, I wasn't sure what to do because there was no greeter or signs in clear view to tell me what to do (adding to the confusion was the line at the cash register, but no menus in sight). I finally decided to ask a server if I could take a seat and she said to go ahead and grab a table. Aside from the confusion at the beginning, the service met my expectations.
Atmosphere: 3 stars. Word of advice: don't take the tables directly next to the restrooms (phew!!!). This place feels like any other cheap restaurant in Latin America where the locals congregate to watch soccer. Expect a loud and sometimes raucous atmosphere (on my night, a Mexican band sauntered in and performed a song for the crowd at jarring levels).
Hits: Pollo pastel.
Misses: Tables by the restrooms.
If You Like This Place, You'd Probably Like: Balompie Cafe #2, Balompie Cafe #3.
BEST PUPUSAS IN TOWN, HANDS DOWN!
Their minced pork and cheese pupusas are so tasty. After one bite, I knew it was love. I loved it so much...ended up scarfing it down. You have to order a minimum order of 2 pupusas. Shoot, no problem!
Their pickled cabbage and hot sauce really went well together and the whole love affair only cost me $6.00 including a small bottle of Perrier.
I'd come back here again, service was fast, friendly and helpful. They have other specials on the menu I'd like to come back and try.
Street parking is available!
This has become my new favorite place to get pupusas whenever I am in San Francisco.
My favorite is loroco, that flower delicacy, but there's so many other tempting varieties on their menu that I always end up taking home extras.
After 3 dinner experiences.... I love this place, this is not a Haute Cuisine joint (ooops doesn't exist in El Salvador), now come on, if your reading this you know that. But don't complain that they don't serve Starbucks coffee, or that there is a TV with the sports channel on or that a loud Mariachi band came in to play a few tunes.
Great stuff:
Pupusas: "Salvadoran stuffed masa flat-bread" Pupusas are similar to corn tortillas, only thicker and stuffed with cheese, beans or meat. The pupusa originated in El Salvador. Yup agree with many reviews that report they are great ! Some Papusa connoisseurs report an over mix of one ingredient or another, I say "get over it" cos this is not a chain, this is not a place that adheres to the standard that you imagine.
Pasteles: "Salvadoran meat pie" deep fried small gems w/ meat or combo ingredients, as good as the famous Pupusas. While not deeply reported, they are really great. Tasty and are available w/ a variety of "stuffings". Don't see the pastele reference in many of the esteemed reviews.
Fried Yuca : Kinda like giant french fries made from Yuca. They are Da best (unless you are on Jenny Craig or have issues with fried food or just don't like the word Yuca).
Dinners: w/ the entree' , beans, rice etc., whole fried fish is great, carne' asada is great, the 'steak' is great. After the three above: papusa, pastelles, fried yuca.....a dinner entree is just too much !
From the moment I walked into Balompie, I was hooked. Their pupusas are literally OFF THE HOOK! Not too greasy and and a good proper size. The meal they have that includes 2 of them with rice and beans is a perfect portion to get your pupusa fix.
I must admit my favorite entree is the Plato Tipico which is comparable to a sampler plate that includes a pupusa, a pastel and Yuca con Chicharron (fried chunks of pork). Although if you get this plate you have to get the fried yuca as it's AWESOME! Just imagine a french fry only bigger and made with yuca, lol! Seriously though you'll love it! After I tried this plate I had dreams about it - no lie!
This is a great place to get pupusas. Someone from my past introduced me to this place for brunching, but now I'm hooked on my own.
The rest of the menu items are decent, not the highest end ingredients, but I've never been too disappointed. I'd stick to the pupusas and you can't go wrong. The coffee cups could be a little bigger though.
And the price... oh so affordable. I always leave with a full belly and still semi full wallet.
We checked this place out before our nearby "Killing My Lobster" show, and it did not disappoint! While my friend thought the guacamole (or Guaca-Glow, as my dad calls it) was kind of watered down, I thought the added lime juice made it numma numma fresh. Our waitress was extremely nice and efficient.
I ordered a few vegetable pupusas and topped 'em with the pureed salsa/sauce and they were pretty much amazing.
I am an average girl and 2 pupusas was plenty enough for me! Of course, I also tapped into the guacamole and some plantains, so . . .
Affordable, fresh, and tasty--worth checking out!
I should probably stop reading reviews before eating somewhere. After reading the raves, I was very excited for this place. End result: hm. $2.50 for usual pupusas, $3.50 for special ones. They were tasty and a decent size. Yet I wish I knew before sitting down that the pupusas are $1.99 if you order them to-go. I taste with my wallet, okay? Also, make sure they charge you correctly. If you feel like arguing over a buck (I'm too wimpy to), you're welcome to.
Very popular place, so you may need to wait for a table and/or share a table with strangers. They got points with A by seating us across from rather than next to each other. A normal tv by the front door and a huge flat screen inside that plays football/soccer games. So, very noisy as people will cheer and jeer for teams. At breaks in the game, expect a guitar player to come in and play very loudly. Definitely lively.
Went here with a friend because she had heard that the papusas were really good--best in town. We went for lunch. Looks like a hole-in-the wall from outside. Actually fairly nice and clean inside.
We tried several things and shared--Chicharros y Queso (Ground Pork & Cheese) papusa, Super Vegetariana (Spinach, Mushroom, Carrots & Cheese) papusa, Fried Yuca (Chicken) and Shrimp Pastel. We also ordered the plantains--the waitress said that they were really sweet that day.
My favorites were the papusas. I don't think I had ever tried them before. They were made with corn flour and were filled. They weren't greasy and very flavorful. The Pastel was good as well. Not so excited with the Yuca but it wasn't how the restaurant cooked them. The plantains were also delicious.
Overall we were happy with our meal. The food is very inexpensive, fresh and good. The service was also very good. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. I'd go back there again. They have so many interesting other things to try.
Balompié, you make my knees buckle. While my Salvadorean mother demands pupusas to be a bit oily, I prefer Balompié's style of pupusa which aren't as greasy as other places. The bean and cheese is my favorite, as are their other traditional dishes - platanos con crema, empanadas con frijol o con leche, tamal de elote. yum yum YUM! And Blue Moon on tap!!
Docking them a star because of the super slow service. They are very very friendly, but aren't aware when you're trying to catch their attention. It can take a while to get your check in this place so either plan ahead, have cash and ask for your bill right when you get your food, or just relax and have another beer.
The pupusas are the best I've had in in SF. I really dig everything about this place, but the pupusas are fantastic. My one knock on this place is the service. The staff is friendly, but not terribly speedy/aware. My table has been completely forgotten twice. Still, this place is a total winner, and I'll definitely be back.
Price: 5 stars (the prices are very reasonable, especially for the pupusas)
Food: 5 stars (I haven't been super impressed by the non-pupusa items. Nothing has been bad, but the pupusas are the pick of the litter by far)
Ambiance: 5 stars (it's usually a little crowded and loud, but it's clean and has a great family feel. Typically the place is almost full [if not overflowing] with families out for a meal and a little futbol on the tv)
Service: 3 stars (as I said above. The staff is friendly and respectful, but...could use some work)
We'll be going back here again and again.
OH MMMMM. MMMM. I'm still buzzing from the high I got off eating such tasty, quality food. I'm basing this off the point that I've NEVER had Salvadorian food before and so opted to try something new with a friend of mine. We took about 20 minutes to decide what we wanted because before this day, "PAPUSAS" was just a funny looking word.
Granted it was a little intimidating to be the only two Asian girls walking into a restaurant that felt like a portal to another country, but hey--our minds were set on good food.
After the waitress explained (tried to) what a papusa was, we ordered a couple of the pork+cheese ones. We also got fried plaintains, a combo plate with mint and beef, pork stuffed bell pepper, as well as one of the morning scramble plates. nomNOM!!!!!! I guess would describe the papusa as...a stuffed..pancake? Whatever it was, it was good, super filling and I'd definitely return again.
Oh yah, the waitress was super nice! We didn't know how the horchata would taste there so she gave us a sampling for free!
Good service, good food, good prices. (total was 34, including tax and tip) 5 stars no doubt.
Mmmmm...pupusas...big fat pupusas!
This is becoming a serious addiction. The experience of tearing into thick masa bread that came piping hot with gooey stringy cheeses oozing outward along with your choice of meat or seafood is one powerful "wow" factor that can't be underestimated. These pupusas do not simply stop here to make an impression after triggering a temporary paralysis of non-stop drooling. As soon as I broke off a piece of one of their specialties--mariscos y queso pupusa--my growling stomach started to seize control of my body as I quickly dipped the bread into a red salsa on the side and made sure it was accompanied by plenty of cole slaw before shoving it into my wide open mouth. The entire process cannot be repeated until I stuffed a few more spoons of refried beans and Spanish rice to make sure that my mouth was jammed packed to capacity like what you would see on the MUNI lines during those crazy commuter hours.
Nom nom nom...to me this was the sound of divine intervention with every component of the pupusa meshing together in my mouth. Thanks to Mika I, who declared this place as having the best pupusas in town, I had to drag my bestie David N to the Mish for a visit. When we walked in, the place was packed with people of all backgrounds with the ambiance alive and vibrantly decked out with soccer memorabilia everywhere. We sat under the flat screen TV that was showing women's soccer at the time, and we ordered the pupusas arroz y frijoles ($8.50) and crossed our fingers to hope that Mika was right. It took some time for our order to come, but along with a side dish of chunky cole slaw, my rice and beans gave a nice combination of textures to perfectly complement my choice of loroco con queso and mariscos y queso pupusa. I love the sweet scent of loroco while the other pupusa had a wonderful shrimp and fish filling that was excitable and delicious. They were both highly addictive and it made me wanna bring a big party here so everyone can sample all 17 choices of pupusas. I would love to check out their prosciutto, super veggie, and chorizo y queso in the near future.
Service was warm, friendly and helpful. The only complaint I have is their 55 cents surcharge on some of their pupusas for those who dine in, and for having a minimum of 2 pupusas per order. Other than that, my experience was worth 4.5 stars. This is one exciting place that I would love to come back.
This place is fantastic and I really enjoyed myself. It's really small but very cozy and you can tell that it is a local favorite. They have a full bar and pretty large wine selection and play old futbol games on all the tvs. I went with a few friends and we shared a very long table with other guests who suggested the pupusas to us. Let me tell you about these pupusas..they are so delicious. I had two pupusas, one with a cheese and spinach and another with cheese and meat. It's really inexpensive, the pupusas are about $3.00 each and you must order a minimum of two. Their beans and rice were also really really good.
This place was great but the only problem was the parking. It's right off of Mission and it's in a very busy area so we ended up having to park a few blocks up the street but it was worth it. It was clean, our waitress was friendly and the food was fantastic.
I can't wait to go back!
It's been awhile since my last visit and I've begun to realize that one can't really go wrong with Balompie Cafe. The pupusas are delicious and cheap, the horchata is fresh, the atmosphere is comfortable, and the service is good. For a great cheap date, I recommend it.

Absolutely delicious. A little slow as service goes and it's a bit chaotic once you are in doors, but the food is ace. Maybe that's why the pupusa's are a little bit cheaper if you order to go.
While I've had pupusa's before, I've never had Loroco (as a filling or otherwise), and I'm definitely glad to have tried this here. Also, I never had plantains with cream, and that is definitely a good mix.
I look forward to coming back.
Holy pupusas! One word: Loroco. Go get 'em!
The slaw they make to go with these is incredible. The salsa is good, not spicy, though, so minus one star for having to use Tapatio with my salsa. Also, this is one of the only places I've found in the Bay Area that makes fried yuca the right way. Yum! I like mine plain, no toppings, but they have all kinds of other things you can top it with.
Also a bonus, this place is way affordable.
My brother and I just scarfed down cheese and bean pupusas with lots of salsa from Balompie... hello heaven in the form of Salvadorian food.
Long wait but handmade and well worth it!

HOT DAMN! I had a *delicious* meal here last night. Had pupusas for the first time--cheese & bean. SO YUMMY! Not too greasy, just right. I also ordered a guacamole appetizer, which was super fresh and tasty. Also had a side of plantains, which were delish. The woman who works at the cash register has been there for over 20 years and she is lovely--super warm, friendly and smiley. I am a huge fan of this spot and I will definitely be back!
So recently I have been on this pupusa kick and I'm on a mission to find the best in town. Word on the street is Balompie, El Zocalo, and La Santaneca are where it's at.
Wut wut you say...prosciutto pupusa?!?! Hell to the yeah I was all over that. I also ordered the loroco con queso and a horchata to wash it down with.
Personally, I prefer my pupusas to have a slightly more firm and crisp texture. These were slightly doughy for my liking. I thought the prosciutto was really good but could have used more prosciutto. Loroco was good too but nothing really just knocked my socks off.
I wasn't crazy about the pricing as well. As someone else noted, these run a dollar more than most places.
Final verdict: decent pupusas but it just did not live up to the hype. Off to El Zocalo and La Santaneca I go!
Wow, how is it that I haven't written a review for this place yet?!
I love Balompie! I heart it for the great food, the great prices, the chill, no-nonsense-ness of it all. It's great.
I've been coming here for a few years now, thanks to a recommendation several years ago from a fellow SF native (Avenues Represent!). I came here to try the pupusas that one magical day several years ago, and I've been happy with Balompie's ever since.
And I think other people are starting to catch on too. I noticed that Balompie is starting to make it onto all those "Best of. . ." lists, which is kinda annoying. I mean, you can never keep awesome things a secret for very long.
But I suppose it's okay because I think good food really makes people happier, and even better than just good food is paying little money for good food. People are all over that!
And this stuff is both cheap + DELICIOUS. Absolutely delicious! It's like a flour (or is it corn? I'm not sure. . .) based tortilla-looking thing, stuffed full of meat, cheese, and what have you. It is a thing of beauty. Add some salsa and slaw on top, and it's pupusa heaven. Balompie's does it better than every other place I've tried. El Zocalo's, another popular pupuseria, is okay. Balompie's really is best. Their pupusas are hearty, the bread-ish part is soft and cute, the inside is hearty, flavorful, packed with good stuff. It's a nice portion too; two of these will make you nicely full.
And the best part? Incredibly affordable. If you do take-out, it's like $1.95 each. If you get two, with tax, it'll come out to $4.27. Isn't that INSANE? Under 5 bucks for a very delicious meal. Worth it. Talk about bang for your buck.
You know, everyone loves the burritos in the Mission, and I certainly do too. But there are also many days where I'll take a pupusa over a burrito. But not just any pupusa. A Balomie pupusa.
Put that on your list of San Francisco must-eats.
My abuellita (that's grandma in Spanish) was born in Mexico. Her pop was half Italian. Her maiden name was Filipini. My dad's sister married a straight up Italian dude. So at our family gatherings - the tables groaned with mounds of delicious food. . .tamales, fragrant in their corn husks; cauldrons of pozole rojo or menudo blanco, refried beans, rice; hot, steamy corn tortillas and a big giant dish of baked rigatoni or a nice braciole. Wait. What? Yup - it was like that old Sesame Street segment of "one of these does not belong with the others" but we were all happy and ate everything with equal gusto - baked rig in a corn tortilla is a taste sensation you might not experience everyday, you know.
Now, I am not sure what went down at Balompie - perhaps one of the ladies who makes the pupusas hooked up with a Guido but man oh man .. SOMEONE invented one of the most delicious taste sensations of all time. A pupusa filled with prosciutto, cheese and a few leaves of basil. It is called the Italiana and it is absolutely delicious. I do not sully the flavor with the curtido. . I eat it straight. I like to order some to go and have them for breakfast the next day - an Italiana with a couple of over-easy eggs is just about the best thing EVER!
Go here. get this. I'd never steer you wrong.

Very simple and authentic look.
I went there for a Sunday brunch in the Mission. Lovely atmosphere, the Latino culture meets the American one for brunch. And good food on the table.
The best touch was a friendly soccer game going on the big screen: Hamburg Juventus 3-0 . I was actually almost getting into a fight with my girlfriend so that I can watch it...Too bad I found out later it was a game from exactly one year ago.
Great Place. A local favorite for sure.
That Sunday at lunch, my friend and I were probably the 2 only non Salvadorian guys in the restaurant. It is a real experience.
It's a small place. Food was great, the staff friendly and it wasn't expensive.
I will come back.
My Salvadorean roommate took me here for my birthday since I've been wanting to try Salvadorean food. So good.
I had salpicon. My roommate ordered chicharon and yuca and two pupusas.
I think I broke my stomach trying to get all that food in. It was so good, I didn't want to stop eating. I'm not a huge fan of thick breads but the thick tortillas here were so good, I was eating them with a little of the spicy sauce on top.
All that deliciousness with a Blue Moon draft (done right with an orange slice) made me a very happy birthday girl.
Coming back to try the breakfast.
A friend had introduced us to Salvadorian food up in Cameron Park and we have been hooked onto finding a place that could satisfy our cravings for the pupusas and soups in the bay area. Obviously the Mission is where all the good eats are at.
I've been wanting to try El Zocalo's for a while now, but a friend suggested coming here and I was more than happy to try it!
We ordered an array of dishes including the pupusas/ res soup combo, fried yuca, the shrimp soup and.....more pupusas. Yummmmmmyy....... It was all really good. Suprisingly the kiddies liked the pupusas here (They aren't the biggest fans of corn tortillas). So, I'd say that it had a texture that was soft enough for them to enjoy without it being too chewy. And, my husband enjoyed the slaw that comes with it. We left super full but wanting more.
This is probably one of the most highly touted places around town for pupusas, and I've only had pupusas once before at Panchitas.
We tried 3 pupusas - lorroco; cheese, pork, jalapeno; cheese & shrimp. They were fine, but slightly doughy, and not crispy like I remember at Panchitas, and I also liked their pickled red cabbage slaw better.
We also shared two other dishes that raise the rating to 4 stars:
Lengua with onions - Awesome, very beefy, tender, with nicely cooked onions, and a delicious sauce.
Fried yucca with chicharon - Very tasty, the yucca had a texture similar to tater tots. Chicharon was nice and porky, with plenty of good pork fat throughout.
Service was really good, very friendly with good recommendations.
Ever since I discovered the deliciousness that is a pupusa in December, I have been trying to find the best ones in the city.
I'm a regular at La Santaneca, but when I noticed Balompie on the corner of the next block and calling itself a "Pupuseria," I had to go in and try.
I liked the clean setting, and took a seat at the counter. I was impressed by the variety of pupusas they offered, and that I was able to watch the Mexican cook (*NOT El Salvadorian), make them fresh to-order.
Mine was good, but it costs $1.00 more than the others down the street, so I might as well stick to La Santaneca b/c I get more pupusa action for the buck.
And then there were pupusas!
How had I not discovered this place after a year of working on 18th street? I bought two delicious cheese papusas, one with black beans and the other with zucchini for 5 bucks and it's only 4 if you get them to go. They're like little pancakes/crepes filled with happy goodness. The servers are really nice and the dining experience is pretty decent. One of my favorite cheap eats!
First time to Balompie for breakfast. I had the platanos dish with casamiento and a pupusa (the veggie one)
The coffee was really good for just regular drio cafe. The platanos were fried perfectly and with the crema they were delish. The casamiento (rice and refried beans together) is different from what I call casamiento, but it was still very good.
I will forgive them that they forgot to take our order for about 15 mins and then they forgot our water, but that's OK.
I had enough food to take home and finish it later.
Overall, very friendly place and really delish food. Go there, go often...
this was the first time trying salvadorian food. and it was for a class project. omg i love it! Britany C. recommend this place to me. and i love it. my friends and i ordered the pupusas it was so good. i had the salvadorian veggie pupusa it was so good!i have no idea what type of veggy was in it but it was good! i also had this melon drink which was also good. but parking around this area is hard! if you have a mini cooper it's easy if you don't be prepared to circle around and around and around for parking. the waitress was nice, she knew it was our first time there and she taught us how to eat a pupusa. you have to put the chopped up veggie on top of the pupsua and put the red sauce over it. or you can stuff it in the pupusa. overall i love this place. just parking is a pain. well it's sf after all right?
I wouldn't consider myself adventurous when it comes to trying new foods, but Balompie won me over immediately its pupusas: thick, corn flat breads stuffed with a variety of ingredients customized to your liking. You can choose to stuff your pupusas with beans, cheese, pork, zucchini, veggies, spinach, shrimp, fish, prosciutto, jalapenos...just about anything really. I usually order the standard pork and cheese papusas and they're excellent. They're crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, packed with bold spices and flavors, and generously filled with cheese and meat. They're especially delicious when topped with the red sauce and lettuce-like veggie mixture they serve on the side. Best of all? They're only about $2-3 each and 2 will be more than enough to keep you full through lunch (or even dinner). Balompie's papusas are another one of the 7x7 "100 Things to Try Before You Die" and certainly for good reason. If you're a fan of Mexican food--and are looking for a dish to rival the amazing quesadillas at El Farolito--you'll love the El Salvadorian Papusas here.
Other winning dishes include the enchiladas, the fried yuca with carne, and the spaghetti with chicken. I was initially skeptical about ordering spaghetti from an El Salvadorian restaurant, but the dish turned out to be quite delicious (although very different from the spaghetti I'm used to having).
In addition to great food, Balompie has a friendly staff, plenty of seating, and low prices. Next time you're in the Mission for good Mexican food, consider switching it up and giving El Salvadorian cuisine a try. You won't be disappointed!
Yeah, definitely the best pupusas in San Francisco, and I was on a sojourn to discover the best; finally found it.
2 pork and cheese papusas with a coke, coming with a bunch of flavorful green stuff and mild sauce (wish it was spicier) for only 5 bucks? You got to be kidding me.
I don't care about the price, I care about the flavor, and this place, in my opinion, is hands down the best for pupusas.
Is it me, or does "pupusa" sound kind of dirty?
I felt kind of naughty ordering these hot little numbers, and a whole lot more naughty eating them. Fresh off the griddle, they're filled with cheese, vegetables, beans, etc. and you basically put your head down and slurp them up until there is nothing left. They come with vinegary pickled cabbage and a dish of delicious hot sauce on the side.
And they're cheap, just the way I like my naughty snacks.
The food here is oh so tasty. The pupusas are so delicious that I give them a rating of 9 on the pupusa rating scale. They are not too greasy, not too dry, and are full of flavor. I like that they also have other types of pupusas along with the usual bean, cheese, pork combinations. The other stuff on menu is really good too like the yuca. The soups are amzing too. I once had a chicken soup from here when I was really sick, and I swear it cured me.
The place is divey looking and the service is slow. The food is definitely worth the wait.
