Middle fingers up to the jerk who decided to camp on and burn down the island bird sanctuary!  Conserve people, please teach the little ones and keep repeating yourselves over and over even when they are teens!  My heart hurts to think of the critters who lost their home including a pair of Bald Eagles.

Okay so I've ranted however I must give props to this peaceful serene lake.  I love the fact that half of it is lined by the golf course and although you need to be aware when close to shore of stray flying balls(FORE!), this also keeps half of the shoreline clear of houses and preserved in it's natural foilage.

We've had some luck fishing here as well granted most were too small to keep but exciting none the less.  The lake has bass and trout in it and supposedly at one point there were Salmon here.

There is a nice boat launch, dock and shoreline to enjoy.  There are public restroom/changing rooms however for some reason the women's side is always locked!

I truly feel spoiled having this little piece of Heaven only 3 minutes away from home.  There's no better way to wake up or end the day than drifting with pole in hand as the sun rises or sets and the water reflects it's surroundings like glass.

In the full package of MLTs parks, this is probably its crown jewel, as it is what it is supposed to be without compromise.

Be aware, that arrival after 9 am in a car on a warm or hot summer day will have you parking nearly 1 mile from this park as all the streets are no parking or private near by. However, it is common to see cars lining every inch of park road they can when the lot is full.

This park has a small boat launch, and boats are restricted to electric motors only. A turn around is available for cars and boat trailers to use the ramp. A fishing dock is immediately adjacent to the ramp. A reasonable sand beach is located immediately north of the dock, with a large field for suntanning and hanging out. Several BBQ stations are available if one is early enough.

A large restroom changing room is found at the southwest corner of the parking lots. A fish cleaning area is adjacent to the changing rooms.

This little park is sandwiched between one of two public accesses to Lake Ballenger, the other is a WDFW fishing access and hand carry boat launch almost directly across the lake.
