UMmmmm--- i can walk here!
If you can't walk here, then you probably won't like this place.
Lenny is a jerk off part owner... just ask him about his new liver
Danny is a bad ass... best bartender in town !!
I hope i got their names right... if not... you'll figure it out real fast.
Service industry folks tend to come in here around 11 pm during the week -

The Ballast Pub is where all of the commercial and sport fishing guys hang out and drink. Great ambiance, good stiff drinks and great service. I really love the photo mural behind the bar and the black ceiling. Great place for talking story and hanging low.

This place is so tiny that it's not even listed! It's about as basic as a bar can get, but the beer was good, there's a pool table, and the bartender was friendly and very low key. This might just be the perfect place to go when you want to get a drink and hide at the same time.

I stayed at The Pearl a few blocks down from this bar. It was Saturday afternoon and I had just finished up with some work and it was time for a drink. I wandered into The Ballast (as I like to call it) and got exactly what I expected; a no frills bar to get cheap drinks at. Like the other review said, this is a perfect place to get a drink and hideout. If I ever have to go on the lam I'll definately be here on my way to Mexico.

Greg's right it's like your friends dads basement! Good cold drinks, great jukebox and if you haven't had the mini street tacos with Carne Asada 3 for $5 you are missing out! On Monday nights - they cook up a delicious steak with fries and cesear salad all for $10 - It's the best hide way bar out there!

Get away from the unh tiss unh tiss of most bars and get cozy at Ballast Pub. It feels like drinking in your friend's dad's basement and I dig it.
