Very impressed with Ballard & Ballard during a recent visit for Holiday gifts. Not only was there quite a variety to satisfy my wife's cravings, but there was no 'Big Sale' games. Completed pieces were priced accordingly and the designers were able to give us straightforward quotes for custom work based upon the materials we wanted. Even cleaned my wife's rings while we made our rounds of the display cases.

I have been looking at this shop for a while, and wanting to go in but I never had the time..One afternoon I decided I needed to have my diamond earrings cleaned, and I also needed to get a replacement backing for one. I wish I had just waited and went to my regular jeweler in Anaheim, Ca. My earrings came back to me sparkling clean..but when I returned to my regular jeweler to have them cleaned again, he had given me the horrible news that my diamonds were switched out for cz..I will not ever return to this shop again.

While having breakfast with my boyfriend we started talking about engagement rings and I assured him I didn't care what the ring looked like as long as it wasn't
1) yellow gold,
2) round cut or
3) too big (I know, every guy's dream and every girl's confusion)
He proceeded to tell me that he already had picked one out but it was round cut, thankfully he hadn't purchased it yet. So he suggested we go to jewelry store to figure out what size I wore and to see what design would look best on my hand.
I'm not the girly-girl in these matters, initially I didn't even want a traditional ring but more of a simple silver band. My boyfriend, being the uber-romantic man that he is, insisted on a more traditional ring so we headed to Ballard and Ballard.
We were immediately greeted by Glen and from that moment on I really began to enjoy the excitement of the occasion. We told Glen that we weren't planning to marry for another year or so but he still gave us his undivided attention as if we had guaranteed him a sale that very day.
He explained all the amenities they offered at B&B such as:
1) Lifelong polish and cleaning for free
2) one year replacement for loss or damaged jewelry
3) lifetime resizing of the ring for free
4) custom designs to meet our specifications
Top that off with the combined experience between him and his brother of 75 years and we were sold.
Now just gotta wait til my man pops the questions to wear the ring that I never thought I would want! It's beautiful, meaningful and I can't wait to see it on my hand everyday for the rest of my life!

Great knowledgeable service from co-owner Guy Ballard. We wanted a specific vintage style of engagement ring that they didn't have in the store - Guy looked through catalogues and really did his homework to find what we were looking for. This is a definitely a family business - and you get lots more personalized attention than at a typical place like Robbins Bros. They are not cheap - but this isn't the place you want to go if you're just looking for something cheap and tacky. If you are interested in tasteful pieces, they will work with your budget and you will leave happy.

I have been going to Ballard and Ballard for 25 years. They are a family' business. They would never jeopardize their reputation by switching out someone's diamond for a fake. They have a good strong business built on honesty .

Jewelry, what woman doesn't love jewelry? Ballard and Ballard has some beautiful pieces. This is my go to jewelry store, whether I need something as simple as a new watch battery or the more difficult, a new wedding ring for my 25th anniversary. I chose the setting after a long process and then chose the stone, they were patient and great to work with.
I have had appraisals done through them, jewelry cleaning, you name it, they are the go to guys. Glenn and Guy Ballard have been in business for many years, it is family run and they truly care about the client.
I know without a doubt, I can trust them when leaving a piece of jewelry for repair, they are honest and know the business. I wouldn't trust anyone else.
They host a girls night occasionally with wine and goodies and then add their favorite items to a computerized wish list, making it very easy for the special someone in their life to go shopping.
Ballard and Ballard does a great job of keeping in touch with their clients, and servicing their needs. -

My family has been using Ballard and Ballard for over 30 years, I am a second generation customer and wouldn't dream of going anywhere else! Glen and Guy always take great care of me and my jewelry, and I have had a couple of custom orders made which turned out AWESOME.
This is a great place to get your baby's first earrings, they can custom make any stud with screw-backs so that they don't poke little heads. -

Although we have lived in Southern California now for 26 years, it took about 15 years to find that "back east" personal service oriented, trustworthy jeweler.
We found that-- nestled in Fountain Valley at Ballard and Ballard! Two brothers happily serve you with their assistants, to carefully select a new piece exactly to your liking, reset an old treasured piece, or clean and polish up one that is being worn day after day!! Everything from a new little charm for my Pandora Bracelet to a very special surprise ring for our 25th....they have it all. And yes it was a surprise since he gave it to me the Christmas before our 24th... and did I mention his watch was purchased there too for that same Christmas... and they kept all our secrets as we crossed paths in and out of the store!!!)
Great jeweler, we highly recommend!!

I needed a rush order for presents I was taking to Vegas. I brought my own gems in on a Monday and Guy had everything finished by Wednesdat night. He disassembled an old diamond ring and created earrings for my niece, a pendant for her daughter and added a stone to my personal ring. Fantastic service and fair prices.

Ballard & Ballard Jewelers are great!
I got great customer service and a fair price--
I'm from San Diego county and its totally worth the drive to fountain valley.
They did a custom piece for me, platinum single stone band with a square cut black diamond--it's beautiful, I get compliments on it all the time.
I will go back for sure! -

I have been a Ballard & Ballard customer since 1980. I wouldn't go anywhere else! When you walk in the store you are treated like family. Glenn & Guy Ballard will always be my personal jewelers. Glenn recently designed a ring for me and I absolutely love it! I get so many compliments on it. I appreciate the fact that they have a wide variety of jewelry as well as a price range to fit anyone's budget. The fact that this is a family owned store and have been in business over 92 years speaks for itself. They are kind, patient and will do everything they can to help you find what you are looking for. My husband and I had been searching for the perfect setting for my diamond for a long time. Our original setting was an antique and one that could no longer be refurbished. I came into Ballard and Ballard after a recommendation from a client of mine. I am so glad I did! They are experts at designing rings and really know how to help you find a ring that suits what you are looking for. Glenn Ballard went out of his way to accommodate my needs and even had my ring finished early! It was such a nice surprise. My husband picked it up from Glenn so that it would be a surprise when I opened the box.... and WOW was it gorgeous! It came out better than I had even hoped. While I loved the setting I was a little nervous how my diamond would look in it, but Glenn took care of everything. He found the right way to set my diamond so it looked perfect in the setting. I really couldn't be happier. I absolutely LOVE it!!! Thanks Glenn!
