Review from Sarah B.
This place is fabulous. During the baseball off-season, this place is not crowded. Cheap place to go bowling. The balls suck, but bowling is so much fun that it really doesn't matter! Great place to bowl and just have fun. Besides, they do not allow those low-riding jeans wearing, underwearing-showing punks in this joint. Pull up your jeans or you're outta here!
During baseball, head over here for drinks when the other bars in the area are too packed.
Gotta love bowling, beer and baseball all in one! -

Ball Park Lanes is not just a bowling alley, it's also the Yankee Stadium bar I go to when Stan's is too crowded.
Sometimes I like this place better than Stan's because it's always a little less crowded. When you can't even walk into Stan's, you can at least squeeze through to the front of Ball Park and get some beers. When Stan's isn't too crazy, Ball Park can be just about empty. The prices are pretty much the same as the other places, I enjoy my $5 Miller Lite bottles before a wonderful afternoon/evening in the Stadium drinking $8.50 Miller Lites.
I really can't speak about the bowling or the food, my trips to the Bronx are entirely baseballcentric.
Basically, if you walk past Stan's and don't feel like dealing with the crowd, keep walking and check out Ball Park (aka the Bowling Alley Bar). -

It used to be situated across from Yankee Stadium. Now you have to make the effort to walk down the street to Ball Park Lanes for drinks. It's worth the walk. Skip the other bars, this place is perfect. It has a good selection of beer, fair priced for the area, and it's never too crowded. I consider it a fantastic ballpark pre-game drinking option.
The bowling aspect is great too! Went after a game..which involved many beers, and proceeded to bowl a 39. a 39!!!! 39 is not a good score. Good times all around though.
Whenever I go to Yankee Stadium, this is my spot!Listed in: Let's Do Something Fun..In…

This place gets 5 stars for only one reason: If you're stuck on a busy subway to Yankee Stadium and mother nature is desperately calling and it's way too crowded and there's lines everywhere at 161st Street Station and it seems desperate and there's no place to hide and you're about to implode and you don't know what to do other than scream: "This is seriously not fair GOD!!!"
Have no fear and look across the street at Ball Park Lanes. Come inside and it's the world's greatest restroom oasis. I was so happy, I even tipped the restroom cleaner $2. He was like a desendant of God to me at that moment of panic.
Although I cannot comment on the quality of food, the bowling, or the beer prices, when there's a Yankee game, it looks like a fun place to hang out at for a few brews. -

Not a bad place to grab a drink for cheaper than you'd think what with the location (just down the street from the massive mega mall known as Yankee Stadium).
However, as bowling alleys go, I found this place sorely lacking. The gentleman behind the counter was a grumpy little shit, the rental shoes would be rejected as footwear by shoeless children in Rwanda and the lanes were drier than the Sahara.
Yeah, there isn't any way a bowling alley can recover from that. -

Park lanes is where I pre-game before a Yankees game. It's less crowded than Stans and with out the shitty loud music. They sell dirty water dogs for a dollar. A Yuengling is like 5.75, cheap compared to other options in the bronx. They used to have a bag check too, which is great since you cant bring anything into Yankee Stadium. I never bowled here only drank. The bathrooms are clean which a big plus,in the heart of the south Bronx.

I like this place simply because it's not as crowded as Stan's....I haven't gone bowling so i don't know about that part....The bartenders are great there...a definitely must stop before and after the game....location is great, just down the street from Yankee Stadium and the busy Stan's....Drinks are same as any other place around there.

Haven't been there in 46 years when Stan & Betty Hollander ran the place, Mel (never told us his last name) kept the 50 lanes in tip-top shape and Wash Williams was in charge of the kitchen. Ralph Pollio rolled a 298 and Harvey Abolofia wasn't far behind. I still have the key for my locker. Should I turn it in?

The coziest bowling alley. Shoes are two bucks, and a game 4.50$. Right by Yankee Stadium, the bowling balls are horrible, but the shoes are crisp.
