Bought a new Subaru from these guys over the weekend.  Worked with Nate and Keith, both who i found to be helpful and genuine.  They gave me a good deal and since purchasing they have followed up twice to make sure everything was good.

One negative, I brought my car in (trade) with a full gas tank and when I drove the new one away it was practically on E!  I did let them know when they called and they've guaranteed me a full tank next time i stop by.

All in all, a good experience and a GREAT car brand.

I brought a used Subaru to them for a scheduled maintenance. They found a full list of other things that NEED to be fixed. I opted against their suggestion and went to two different independent mom/pop mechanics, both of which said that "No, you don't need to do this. But the brake rotors really needs to be machined or replaced now." Balise didn't even mention the brake rotors.

Fast forward three weeks. My car starts having a click so I go back to the independent mechanic. They spend a bit looking over the car, come out, and ask who replaced my brake pads. Balise replaced them as part of the scheduled maintenance. Turns out they used the cheapest kind and they were sliding causing the click.

Long story short, I went in for scheduled maintenance and ended up having to fix the work they did. Just save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else.

I'd like to start by saying: it's a car dealership. It's exactly what you'd expect -- dishonest. I was a first time car buyer, single woman alone at a dealership and they took advantage of me.

The good: I didn't have a car when I was looking to buy one and Belise was very helpful. Tim picked me up from the train station in Providence and drove me to the lot to test drive the car. He also drove me back to the station.

The bad: Belise does NOT NEGOTIATE. Which is pretty friggin rediculous if you ask me. Yes they do have reasonable prices but it's pretty annoying to give me a speech about how your prices are so great and then tell me not to even attempt to negotiate. Tim kept going on about how they don't sell the cars for a profit yatta yatta, i.e., complete BS. I know how economics work, duh.

The ugly: THEY LIED. The recline feature on the passenger seat in the car I bought is broken. I told them to fix it and I'd buy the car. Long story short TIM LIED and told me the seat was fixed when it wasn't. When I went to pick up the car they said that they decided not to fix it b/c it wasn't profitable for them to do so. They said they would look for a replacement seat for me and follow up in 1 week. Well it's 1 month later haven't heard a peep. Small claims court here I come.

The moral: Avoid Tim, try another salesman or just another dealership, and if they promise you something, make sure it's on the paperwork before you write a check (first timer mistake? maybe, but avoid this place anyway).
