Very authentic gift shop. There are chimes and bells everywhere. Huge collection of prints and drawings by the local artists. There's also books for ghosts and eerie happenings around Monterey-Carmel.
The salespeople are very nice.
Me: "So what does this bracelet do?"
Her: "The magnets help you with joint pain and arthritis (goes into deep discussion about what the magnets do)"
Her: *peers at me closely* "But I doubt you have those problems."
They were very sweet and friendly, their items were very touristy. I loved it! -

Cute little gift shop right on the wharf.
Prices are obscenely inflated but what else do you expect from a gift shop.
Would have been a 4 star place if the sales person didn't let this annoying family blatantly cut in front of us.

Established in 1966
Originally established as a fish market in 1966, today, Balesteri's Wharf Front is a family-owned gift shop and tourist destination overlooking the harbor of the beautiful Monterey Peninsula. Distinguished from the array of novelty shops and eateries on Old Fisherman's Wharf, Balesteri's offers unique nautical gifts such as diving helmets, wind chimes, ship wheels and sea sculptures.
