Review from Joe C.
This men's store could easily be found in L.A, Chicago or NYC. But, this is an awesome men's boutique store found in the middle of the suburbs of Kansas. I hope they find themselves down in the Plaza or the Crossroads soon, because that is where they belong. The merchandise is well made men's ware, everything from casual to dressy. The price range is on the higher end but the shirt and pair of jeans, both with the Baldwin label that I bought seem to have a matching quality to them. The sales help was very good, but I was the only person in the store. I hope people find there way to this store in the burbs to keep them around and make it an asset to Kansas City.

Review from Ken B.
Kansas City has always been on the short-end of the stick when it comes to men's clothing, but not anymore, Baldwin Men's Shop is here and is about the most handsome men's boutique around.
This store doesn't talk down to men. It seems to value the best in style and the best in utilitarian wear. They are the masculine brother to the more feminine Standard Style sister store. The store features product with *made in Kansas City, MO* labels which is so super cool to see. Denim reigns king here and they design and make their own Baldwin denim line. Along with some beautiful flannel shirts sporting their own label too. They have a duck canvas pant that needs to find its way into my closet really soon. It seems like much of the product found in the store is cut and sewn in the USA. Not everything is rugged here, there are some gorgeous sports coats, outerware, hats, shirts and shoes throughout. They feature some of the most handsome bags and accessories around by Jack Spade and the men's face and hair line of Baxter.
You are not going to find low priced clothing here, but you are going to find well made product that will last a very long time and is worth the money you pay for it. The customer service was top notch when I visited the store. The gentleman was nice, informative and attentive.
The back of the store has a walk thru that connects you to their Standard Style store. I didn't look at the women's line but can say that the beautiful wave ceiling is worth the look. Gorgeous and stylish just like the stores themselves.
The only downside for me is the damn location. It's out south. I hope they bring their Baldwin concept to the Plaza/Westport location too. The store screams "urban", but maybe that's just me and some wishful thinking. Either way, I am happy that they are somewhere in my city.Listed in: Local Shopping, Worth every dollar. $$$, Man Stuff

Kansas City, MO
I have been to this store a couple of times since moving to Kansas City. I am blown away by the personable staff each time. Makes me want to go in and just hang out with them. They know their stuff, especially about denim.
I originally thought I was too fat for their jeans. I finally tried a pair on yesterday and walked out of the store a new owner of a pair of Reed jeans. They hem them on the spot and the construction of their denim is out of this world.
I found a lot of things I wanted to buy, but after dropping $200 on a pair of jeans (well worth it!) I couldn't afford the $900 topcoat I really wanted. Oh well, that's what savings accounts are for.
I've made a vow to go to this store once a month to buy something and be inspired to dress cool.
