Can't recommend Dr. Louie, Dr. Louie, & their staff enough.
I was in a tight place a couple years ago, needing a lot of dental work without insurance. They were very reasonable, personable, and Dr. Balwdin Louie one time even did a minor procedure for free, understanding of my situation.
Then when I finally did get Dental insurance, I had to go out of the city to find a decent place that took it and sadly I could not patronize this practice anymore. But thankfully now I'm back on a PPO they accept, and can't wait to come back!
They're nice, reasonable, open a couple Saturday's a month (AWESOME!) and definitely a solid place to go in a city full of sketchy/meh dentists. -

Dr. Baldwin Louie and Dr. Patty Louie provide excellent dental service for me and my wife. They are good at what they do and consistent in quality and thoroughness.
Coming out, you know your teeth are clean because (1) they showed you what they accomplished (you can see the quality), (2) they used the right tools for the right job (3) they completed their work on-time and (4) they tell you what you need to improve on with your brush stokes. It's like getting a good haircut or finishing a great meal - you leave the front door feeling good and right.
Let's not forget Mrs. Louie and the rest of the office team as they are kind, professional and diligent in making your experience relatively smooth - which is what you want from your dentist office as they handle the paperwork with ease without errors.
The office is clean, good sized waiting room with a fish tank, several 'dentist' chairs so you don't feel crammed.
Dr. Baldwin is a big Cal sports fan so if you want to learn about Cal sports history or trivia - he's the right guy.
Also - Saturday appts is pretty awesome as you can schedule your weekend accordingly. -

Dr. Patricia Louie is awesome. She is super nice, caring, competent and not to sound creepy, very pretty too. The office is clean and the staff is nice. My other favorite part of seeing them is afterwards I can go out on Clement street and get some tasty Vietnamese food.
If you're looking for a dentist in San Francisco or the Inner Richmond I strongly recommend you check out Dr. Louie's office. -

Dr. Patty Louie is phenomenal! She did an extremely thorough job cleaning my teeth, examining for retraction of my gums, explaining the x-ray results, and going over proper flossing and mouth rinses with me.
They have a computer in the room which displays the x-rays, which is neat.
The staff is also polite. The best part is that they have late evening appointments, which fit my work schedule. Their 1-2 Sat. appts. per month go quickly, but that's another convenient option.
I had been putting off getting my wisdom teeth pulled for years- Dr. Louie gives warranted advice without making you feel guilty and without being pushy. She kindly gave me a referral, too (though that dentist didn't work with my insurance).
Overall great experience! -

I visit SF pretty frequently since I used to live there and my entire life is there.
I happened to be in town one weekend and in the middle of biting into a pizza I was greeted by a sharp pain in my back tooth. How could this be happening?? I still had 4 days left on my trip and there was no way I was going to NOT EAT in my favorite city.
I immediately saw that Dr. Louie had raving reviews so I immediately called for an emergency visit. Dr. Louie took me in later that day, by the time I got there I mentally prepared for the whole oral experience, let's admit it, no one likes going to the dentist.
Dr. Louie is so sweet! He calmed me down, and found that a cavity was the culprit and that he would fill and all should be well. It was quick, painless, and I was out the door 1.5 hours later. I was almost in a daze because it was all so effortless, did I really just leave the dentist right now???
Check Dr. Louie out, he's precise, gentle and gets you out on your way. Thank you Dr. Louie for saving my vacation!! -

Going to see Dr. Patricia Louie makes you not dread going to the dentist! She is really professional and does an exceptionally thorough job. You can tell that she really cares about her patients and their teeth and helps make you feel as comfortable as possible ... and doesn't make you feel bad that you sometimes don't floss everyday!
I would recommend this office to anyone seeking a new dentist. The whole office is very friendly and in a nice location. -

I rarely write reviews. But EVERY time after leaving a visit with Dr. Baldwin Louie, I always feel like I need to let everyone know how AWESOME of a dentist he is.
He's really easy going, fast, and wont make unnecessary suggestions for procedures.
I've been going to to him since high school, and now that I've actually moved to New York, I actually still decided to keep him as my dentist.
He's that good. -

I haven't been to a dentist in almost 12 years!!! There's just something about the dentist office that makes me feel so uneasy. But Dr. Baldwin was able to make me feel at ease. The last dentist I saw always questioned me on how to take care of my teeth. I swear it was like taking my GRE exams. NOTE MY REVIEW ON RUSSELL YOUNG. Dr. Baldwin was easy-going, to the point, and I forgot that i was in a dental office. His staff is uber nice too!
+ He's open on Saturdays! -

Dr. Louie is the most caring, personable, and skilled dentist I have ever gone to. Dr. Louie has performed multiple procedures on my teeth over the last couple of years including general cleaning, fillings and bleaching (internal & external).
I have a couple teeth that were knocked out years ago and since then have become slightly discolored. This is an aesthetic issue that I've had over the last 5 years and out of the 4+ consultations I've had, Dr. Louie is the only dentist to recommend internal bleaching. I checked his rates of this procedure against his local competitors and was surprised to find that he about 50% cheaper. I went ahead with the procedure and Dr. Louie was able to completely clear out the discoloration and in time for my wedding.
Dr. Louie proceeded to complete the filling after the internal bleaching. To sum it up, the filling Dr. Louie gave me is the best filling I've ever had. It was completely smooth to the touch and was not intrusive to any other teeth.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Louie and his team is you are looking for a good family dentist. He is a caring, ethical dentist that only recommends the best for his patients. -

The receptionist was extremely helpful over the phone. She offered to check on my insurance details so I'd know what was covered as soon as I arrived for the appt, which was made on the same day that I called.
My appt was on time, the dental assistants were friendly, skilled and efficient. I had Dr Lee (I'm pretty sure that was her name) and she was patient, easy going and explained things without being patronizing at all. I felt like I was in good hands. Also, a good selection of magazine reading material, not that I had much waiting time. -

I was extremely happy with my dental appointment today.
The staff was very friendly on the phone and helped check all my Insurance coverage. The follow up was exemplary.
Dr. Baldwin (the daughter) was extremely competent and thorough in her exam. She answered all my questions and did not rush through the appointment. She did not reccomend any unnecessary dental work.
I would reccommend this dental practice highly. -

I'll be honest; I've found my visits to the dentist incredibly uncomfortable and intimidating in the past. However, when a family friend urged me to go see Dr. Patti, my outlook on dentists completely changed! Dr. Patti is a true professional who cares about her patients. Upon my first visit, she immediately put my fears at ease, and took care of my cleaning and cavity in a thoughtful manner. My past few dentists seemed to rush through the process with aggression but NOT Dr. Patti. She was gentle and talked me through everything, ensuring my comfort. Thank you, Dr. Patti! I'm never going to see another dentist again!

I never realized that it was just as important to stick with the same dentist as you would your hairstylist. I've been going to this office for 7 years now with both Winnie and Baldwin as my dentists (and now Patricia too). My insurance recently changed and since they weren't covered under my insurance I went somewhere else. BAD IDEA. I'm back and will never stray again and yes i'm willing to pay for the friendly, knowledgeable staff and dentists. Not only is everyone gentle and really good about asking regularly how I am doing when they are in my mouth, but they are honest and never push a service if it's not needed.

Lets face it, no one likes to go to any dentist. So if you must go (as I have not seen a dentist in 2 years), you would prefer good service and satisfaction. Which is what I experienced at my appointment with Louie Baldwin. I just went in for a regular check up, and received a thorough cleaning. Dr. Baldwin took the time to explain the results of the check up, and did not try to provide any services that I did not need. Overall, I would go back. Quality dental service is tough to find, and combined with friendly staff and close location to my home, this is a slam dunk!
