Very helpful in fixing our key/lock problem. Prices are a little high but that's par for the course in this industry, especially if you want/need in-home service. Trust these guys if you need assistance in Alexandria.

I locked myself out of my house one evening around 5:30pm. My neighbor gave me the number to Baldino's and so I called them. The dispatcher wasn't sure when the technician would call me, but about 10 minutes later, he called me to say he was on his way. I asked him how long until he arrives, and he mentioned he was coming from Woodbridge, so it'd be about 25 minutes.
About 30 minutes later, the locksmith arrived. When he got there, I asked him how much it was going to cost, and he said $225. That seemed really high to me, but I felt since he was already there, I'd better pay it.
His huge truck blocked our whole driveway, and he had his wife and dog in the truck with him. He struggled with the lock for a bit, and he mentioned to my husband that the lock was upside down so he had to be careful not to cause it to explode.
The next day, we went to run some errands, and when we came back, we discovered that the key no longer worked in the lock. Luckily, this time, we had our keys so we can go in through another door. But I had to go buy a whole new doorknob because the locksmith broke the lock on our door. That doorknob was brand new (just installed after the earthquake in August broke our old one), and now we had to buy another one. -

Called to get a quote to unlock my car and they said it would be around $65-$75. After waiting for over an hour for the tech to arrive, he tried charging me $250 to open my car door. When I refused and offered $100, he yelled profanities and threw garbage in my yard. How are they in business?

I don't often visit locksmith shops, but I did get a chance to visit and shop at this one.
About a month ago I moved to Alexandria. Wanting to change my front door lock, I stopped in at Baldino's. Since I know a bit about locks and security (part of my job at work), I played dumb to see how the guys would treat me. I was glad to see that they treated me respectfully, didn't try to cheat me in any way, and were patient with many of my questions.
Though I think the prices might be a tad high, and I do think the guys try to push you towards the highest level of lock you could possibly need, they are a good bunch and I would recommend them.
From what I saw, they sell safes, locks, door hardware, and much more. They also do regular locksmith services as well. -

We ordered a home safe in July. Delivery was promised in 4-6 weeks. It's now three months later and our attempts to find out where the safe is were met with defensive and rude treatment by both the customer service rep and manager. They basically told us they would check the delivery truck when it came in. Nothing else. What? You can't call the manufacturer and find out where the $1,000 dollar product is? They offered us a refund and we accepted. Don't bother with this company. They just don't care.

We needed a duplicate key for our 2007 Honda Odyssey. I was quoted $150 per key, and sent to a different Baldinos location. After going to the second location, I was told that I had been mis-informed by the first location. After getting the run-around and spending the afternoon in the car, I called their main office number. Manager that I spoke to was EXTREMELY rude and unyielding. Ended up getting a much cheaper price at dealership, with no run-around. NEVER again!
