I haven't been to Baldino's since I got out of the Army in 2006, but it was definitely my favorite place in Savannah and is one of my favorite sandwich shops in the country. They don't offer anything fancy, just simple, fresh and delicious ingredients and big sandwiches. My favorites included the Italian Battalion, turkey breast and tuna.
Baldino's isn't in the coolest part of town, but if you're visiting Savannah, don't let that stop you from going. There food is inexpensive and better than anything on River Street. -

Best subs in Savannah, hands down. Softest bread, generous (honestly too generous) portions, lots of choices... This is my favorite location.
Also, Baldino's is significantly less expensive than the other comparable sub places (Jersey Mikes, Larry's Giant). -

Subs are great. However, restrooms are really bad. Afraid to wash my hands. Bring your own hand sanitizer.
