Bald River Falls is accessible from the Cherohala Skyway. - Hwy 165 in Tennessee or NC Hwy 143 to TN Hwy 165 if coming from North Carolina.
You have to turn off The Cherohala Skyway and go about 6 miles. The falls can be viewed from the bridge of the road just before a small parking lot. The view is stunning! I suspect in warmer months, you'd get a bunch of waders in the pool below the falls.
Additionally there's a trail to the top of the falls. I didn't hike the trail this time but it will give me something to look forward for next time.
This is definitely a must see attraction of you are visiting the area.
