I have hired Shawn Bakker from Bakker Construction multiple times to work on my new house and office. My wife and I are continually impressed and satisfied with his work. I am so excited about moving into my first home, which I purchased using an FHA 203K loan. It was intimidating at first but in the end I am very happy with my decision. Shawn's knowledge and experience working on 203K projects made the whole process smooth and easy. I was able to transform an old, outdated house into a beautiful, modern home. The entire Bakker Construction crew is made up of very hardworking, reliable and dedicated people. The work was completed on time and with excellent quality, including completely gutting the bathrooms, custom cabinets in the kitchen, new flooring throughout, and electrical work. They went above and beyond to answer all of my questions and make sure the final product was exactly what I wanted. I would highly recommend Bakker Construction to anyone needing a general contractor, especially if interested in a 203K project.

Established in 2008
Bakker Construction began in 2008, as Shawn sought to establish himself in the Central Coast. Shawn is a 4th Generation contractor, with years of experience in his native Colorado, prior to relocating to CA in 2007. In just a few years time, Bakker Construction has grown a distinct reputation in the Central Coast as a contractor with knowledge and integrity, and quality and vision. Bakker Construction, Inc. was recently named the 2011 California SBDC Entrepreneurial Success Award winner.
Meet the Business Owner: Shawn B.
Established in 2008 Shawn Bakker has been on the Central Coast since the summer of 2007 and in Denver, Colorado before that. Raised in the Rocky Mountains and on the job-site from a very young age, Shawn has a vast experience with residential building and design. Shawn got his contractors license and started his first construction business at the age of 24 and has been working on custom homes and projects ever since. With a background in electrical, a degree in Communications from Regis University and a passion for fine woodworking, Shawn is able to see every aspect of your project through to completion and provide an open line of communication assuring that your experience is as enjoyable and positive as it can be. Working closely with designers and cabinet shops affiliated with The National Kitchen and Bath Association for the last 10 years, has allowed Shawn the opportunity to be a part of wide variety of designs and builds.
