Ate here the other night. I haven't been there since it was the Lobster Shanty, so its been awhile. I enjoyed the look of the place.
I had the Spicy Sausage Pizza, which was very good.
Over all: Good Service, good food, and nice atmosphere. -

Well.... after waiting 45 minutes to be seated, we had to wait at our table another 10-15 minutes before the manager walked by and asked us if we had been waited on. She apologized and took our drink order. The waitress came by shortly after and was courteous and took our food order.
We both ordered the Apricot Chicken. Needless to say we both ate about four bites each, looked at each other and agreed it was not tasty at all. To sum the taste of it up quickly....it was bland at best!
I'll give them a second star only because they did take the cost of the dinners we didn't eat off the bill.
We should have read the prior Yelp reviews on this place.
I would have to agree with them that the place has a nice atmosphere and is good for drinks and appetizers. The food coming out of the kitchen leaves a lot to be desired. -

Found MOLD on a nacho chip. Was told that it was residue from the blue chips. It was green and fuzzy!! And then was told the chips are made FRESH everyday. Why would I believe that when they use canned cheese and canned chili for their nachos. All of a sudden you do something fresh and make the chips... Ok... Never going back... And for the record, I do know the difference between blue maize and mold.

I have been to Water Street numerous times and while the drinks are always great and the atmosphere is awesome, I would not recommend the food. The first time I thought it was ok, but the last time I went we ordered pizza and it came out dry and cold as if it was sitting in the back all night long. When we approached the server on it she just snubbed, asking what do you want me to do go in the back and heat it up again? We asked for our money back and left.
Like I said the drinks are great as well as the atmosphere but as far as the food and service, that needs some work. -

Went there on Thanksgiving day. We all ordered the Thanksgiving meal. It was very good, the food was just the right amount and very tasty. The waiter was pleasant. Will go back again.

I've been here twice. The first time was very pleasant, everything was terrific, which is why I am giving this place two stars as opposed to zero. I was seated in the indoor area, had an older waitress (didn't catch her name, but she was great).
Based on that pleasant experience, I brought my friend from out of town for dinner a few weeks ago. Bad service. Overall, this place has a great location and decent food. That evening, my friend and I were seated in the outdoors area. The place was NOT packed. We were not given bread, had to ask for it, and it seemed like I was asking for an Entree for free. We ordered the Teriyaki Steak Bites as an appetizer. Waiter asked how we wanted cooked, we sad medium-rare and received well-done. Why even ask how we want it cooked if you're going to cook it however you want?
As for drinks, we both ordered French Martinis to start. Great. We then ordered a pitcher of the Water Street Sangria in White. Note, the description on the menu is "Water Streets Signature Recipe Loaded With Fresh Seasonal Fruit." When it came, the "Sangria" was creamy-orange/V8 Splash looking. It looked like the type of Jungle Juice one would drink at a college party. I told the waiter that this does not look like white sangria and his response was "well, this is the way it comes. it's premixed and we took it out of the box like this." Umm, so THAT's the "signature" recipe? The waiter took it back, and took it off our bill. Asked for another set of French Martinis and received them in a plastic cup with about 1 inch of foam on top.
For our entree, we ordered two fish dishes- I had the wasabi encrusted tuna and my friend had the Cajun-Grilled Mahi-Mahi. Again, the waiter asked how I wanted my Tuna cooked, I said "medium rare" and received "way way well done." I didn't want to argue because at this point, I just wanted to eat and get out of there. Left him a 20% tip despite my friend's insistence otherwise.
I don't know if it's the same owner, but the location in Point is far superior in terms of food, drinks and service. Take the extra few minutes and drive there for better food, drinks and most importantly, service. -
