my self-restraint suffers mightily when I come here. let me explain: the wonderful aroma of freshly baked bread wafts along Taraval & 21st Ave. I'm thinking I may buy a baguette  . . . but I end up with 2 baguettes, 3 snails of differing varieties, a large latte, and if I'm being really bad, 2 of the flakiest chocolatiest croissants I've ever had the pleasure of consuming. the snails and 1 loaf wind up with my Lola but the rest ? all MINE baby

Nostalgia...I went here a lot back when I was in high school and I have to say, I was spoiled rotten with quality baked goods.  I recommend it to anyone who happens to end up in the parkside district.
