Where to go for delectable baked items during those cool summer months to compliment the mint julep ice teas?

I remember having to take myself out of the modern metropolis and adapt to the slower, relaxed, laid-back attitude and flow of life here in Wisconsin. Well, at least in Minocqua. Milwaukee seems to kick it up a notch.
Quaint, white walls and smiles will greet you the moment you open the door. And the fresh inviting aroma of baking bread and sweet breads enfolds you like a tea cozy. I look through their glass display case like a child in awe: rows and rows of wonderful baked goods. I was not in the mood for cookies, but their Cinnamon rolls looked fantastic: fat, thick, glazed with a creamy looking vanilla glaze and dark cinnamon swirled throughout. Biting into it, was like biting into a fluffy piece of vanilla Cinnamon heaven. The saleslady smiles and says the softness is created by their mixing real butter, no preservatives or shortening.
We ended up purchasing more cinnamon rolls, the rustic and nutty tasting Country Wheat bread, and the Smoked Gouda cheese bread (something extravagant for the road). I left feeling elated and warm.
I would recommend a visit here for the ambiance, the service, and the wonderful baked goods. I think they have an order site online as well for their Christmas Stollen and fruitcakes.
