Are you looking for really high high heels? Need shoes that you can't really walk in, but look sexy in?

Try Baker's.

From what it seems like, they specialize in knocking off (more or less) higher end designers and selling it for a little bit less. They're extremely trendy and many of the styles I've seen at other places like Charles David or the like. Anyway, the prices are not bad persay, many around $40-$70. They carrry a few specific namebrands, like Jessica Simpson.

There's not much in the way of pushy customer service. They're quite friendly but they're not greeting you the moment you walk in, which is fine with me. The size selection doesn't seem too bad (they even make size five) but the super cute shoes on the discount rack is likely to be all out of anything below a nine. Bummer.

Though they do sell flat and bedazzled sandals, they seem to cater to the crowd of heels lover. I would guess that I saw some awesome stilettos in 5 inches or so. Nice. (They didn't look skanky, which is important.)

I had an interesting experience here at Bakers.  I was having a bummer week, and as you know, i work at the irvine Spectrum.  On my break from work i wanted to buy shoes to make my self temporarily happy.

I went in and found some cute shoes, but they didn't have my size.  I bought the size closest with a cute headband to match.  I asked the girl at the counter if they gave mall discounts and the manager dude standing next to her said no, but when he walked away, she said she'd give it to me anyway.  How nice!  Walked away happy :)

Then... i get home after work feeling better about my life, try on the shoes again and get REALLY bummed cause the shoes didn't fit as well as i remembered during my shoe-high.  So i decide to take them back and maybeee find some other cute shoes or maybe just get a refund.

i go back in and they won't let me return the headband (that i ONLY bought because it was matching) because it's considered "clearance" for being under $20.  It wasn't clearance, i didn't wear it, that rule just completely didn't make sense.  He didn't even say sorry.  He walked away and the nice girl apologized and offered me the same discount again for the new shoes i fell in love with.  She was nice, apologetic, understanding and really great with customer service.

Overall, their shoes are cute and moderately priced, from $30+ and they have lots of big sizes.  However, i actually heard that they don't carry small sizes, so if you gots tiny feet i would go somewhere else.
Their accessories are a total rip-off, especially when there is a Claire's basically next door and a Windsor across the way.  And on top of that, you can't return or even exchange them.  So don't get your accessories here.
Word.
