From start to finish, Baker's Chem-Dry did a mighty professional job. I love that they are eco-friendly too.The initial quote I got over the phone was spot on with the on-site estimate of our area rugs.
They arrived early for the job, worked efficiently and took care to put extra sanitizer on the areas where my pup Riley has had a couple of accidents to help lift up the odor. My roommate was so impressed with the level of customer service that she asked them to clean the carpet on our stairs and 2 additional rugs in our apartment while they were at it!
The rugs smell nice and fresh now (without any overpowering chemical scent), and the most dramatic difference has been on the stair carpeting which had a ton of dog hair, dirt, debris, etc. It looks 10x better now, and I'm waiting patiently for the rest of the area rugs to dry so Riley can do his "sniff test." Fingers double crossed that the deep cleaning will prevent him from having future accidents! -

Used Bakers Chem Dry to clean my carpets and upholstery. They were trashed. I spend my money on clothes and entertainment so it has been awhile since I paid attention to taking care of the things in my house.
My carpets look great and my sofa and two over stuffed chairs and ottoman look fabulous. It's kinda like putting on make up but never applying lipstick. Once you put on the lipstick you realize something was missing. My house feels cleaner since I had my carpets and upholstery done. -

I'm editing this and updating to four stars because their customer service is awesome. I had written a bad review, and when they saw it, I immediately received a call and they came out to look at the job. They fixed the dried soap on the entertainment center, the couch smell that was caused by piling on the pillows so no air could get to them, and some of the stains that had come back. Also, got a refund on a couple of rugs that apparently can never be cleaned because of the material.
Overall, happy now. -

We get our carpets cleaned every year just before Thanksgiving so that they are cleaned for the holidays. I have tried various carpet services. Tried a new one again this year - BAKER"S CHEM DRY.
I am a satisfied customer. They did a thorough professional job. I will be calling them every year from now on. -

Let me tell you about my nightmare experience. My water heater burst and I had water all over the house. I did not know what to do. It was so overwhelming. I did know I could not handle it by myself.
Baker's Chem Dry to the rescue. They were Johnny on the spot. They not only took care of of the water damage but they cleaned my carpets also. I cannot believe the professional fabulous job they did.
I am so happy with the service I received. I highly recommend Baker's for all the right reasons. -

Bakers Chem Dry was a life saver. I desperately needed my carpets cleaned. I have a large two story home with many stairs. I have many children running in and out all the time. My carpets looked like it was 10 years old but I actually purchased it 18 months ago.
I had a 10% off coupon and called Bakers Chem Dry. they assured me they could take care of the spots on my carpets and make the carpets look like new. I booked a cleaning for the following week.
Bakers came out and did a marvelous job. The spots came out and the carpets did look brand new. BTW: They are a green company which means they are doing their part to help preserve our delicate environment. -

Buddy cleaned the shite out of my floor while we shot the shit about Bay Area politics from the native point of view. I couldn't find a stain on my carpet after Buddy's visit and I tried.

Tried this place on yelp (3rd of three carpet cleaning places i tried with various coupons) and by far, this is the best of the bunch. The first time, the owner came himself and did the cleaning - super nice guy. The cleaning was also great the second time I used them in early Jan. I am going to keep them on the calendar once a quarter!

I contacted Chem Dry via their website to ask for a quote. I provided them with approximate square footage measurements of the two larger sized bedrooms that I wanted to have cleaned. I got an e-mail response the following day that said, "We do not provide written estimates for residential work... when the technician comes to do the work, he takes measurements and provides a final price. When you agree to the price, he can begin the work. Our prices are competitive with the industry. If you have any questions or would like to make an appointment, call me at ........ "
With all of the high reviews on Yelp to urge me on and just trusting that I was really going to get a "competitive price", I went ahead and made an appointment with these guys. I got an appointment date and time confirmed for one week out. Technician Paul came right on time and quoted me $125 for the two bedrooms. I agreed to the price and he said that he would have to go and get his gear from downstairs (we live in a high rise). From start to finish, Paul was in and out within 1 hour and 15 mins.
Paul mentioned that the carpets should be dry in about 4 to 6 hours. It was a sunny day and we had the windows open but the carpet wasn't completely dry until two days later (that's when we felt comfortable enough returning end tables, chairs...).
PROS:
- Comes on time
- Friendly and respectful service (took a few minutes to pet the cat so he wouldn't be scared)
- Good price - $125 for two bedrooms (I was charged $135 @ Healthy Choice Carpets)
- Only took a total of 1 hour 15 minutes for two larger sized bedrooms
- Good work - lifted all visible stains
CONS:
- Doesn't provide quotes over the phone/e-mail so if you don't like the price that they give you on your appointment date, you have wasted time/half a day.
- Complete drying time was two days instead of the mentioned 4 to 6 hours
- Carpet feels a little tough when it first dries (we always walk barefoot inside the house) but after vacuuming and walking around for two days, feels normal again.
TIPS:
- Vacuum your carpets right before the appointment
- Vacuum your carpets after the carpets are completely dry.
- Take out items from the areas that you want cleaned prior to the appointment so the technician can get to cleaning right away and cover as much area as they can.
- For you cat owners - Chem Dry sells individual spray bottles of their Spot Remover. It takes up hairball stains like magic with a little patience. I buy in bulk on eBay for $8 to $10 a can. -

Having just moved into a loft that has not seen a vacuum in at least 7 months (that's how long my roommate has been living here), I knew I needed some professional help to get a clean jump start on the carpet situation. I also brought my 2 puppies with me and you know how dogs are at new places, even potty-trained ones...oh wait, is that just my dogs? damnit! Anyway, after a couple days here, it looked like my puppies had regained control of their bladders so I checked Yelp for a good carpet cleaner in my area.
Baker's had hands-down the best reviews so I called them to schedule an appointment right away and didn't even bother looking for a second company to comparison shop or anything like I usually do. The lady on the phone was super friendly, answered all my questions, and was able to schedule me in 4 days out (I called on Friday and their first available appt was for Tuesday). She also gave me an estimated arrival time of 12:30 to 2pm, which isn't a huge window so you don't have to block out an entire day waiting around.
On Tuesday at 12:48pm, I received a call from Buddy telling me that he's downstairs. Impressive! I hate places that give you a time window and show up at the last possible minute. So I let him in and apologized in advance for the 51 steps up to my place (no elevator). He took a quick walk around the loft, gave me a cost estimate (no obligation to do anything even though this is a scheduled appointment), and got right to work, somehow dragging 200 lbs of equipment up the stairs by himself. After about an hour, he was done and the carpet looked clean...not quite new but good enough.
My total damage for a 133 sq ft carpeted loft area + 14 carpeted steps + a 92 sq ft piece of carpet that we use as an area rug = $292. Ouch, that's a bit pricy!
The lady I talked to when I scheduled my appointment said that $125 (their minimum charge) will usually cover a 300 sq ft area. I realize that I have stairs added onto that and that my combined 225 sq ft was split up into 2 separate areas so I would be paying a little extra but having the bill more than double was unexpected, especially considering that the carpet on the stairs was only a tiny bit cleaner than where it started (because he couldn't use the machine on the steps and had to do it by hand). The nice part of all this was that Buddy threw in the sanitizing spray for free and it smells soooo good!
All in all, this wasn't bad for my first professional carpet cleaning. Most of the stains from before are gone (except on the stairs) but I'll have to wait until it all dried and see if it stays that way. As for my sticker shock, I'll just have to skip a handful of Yelp-able dinners and I'll be fine. If my dogs pee on the carpet now, I'm really going to freak out though. -

Uber-super fantastic!
I scheduled a cleaning for our area rug, which is about 5 years old and has 4 years of lots of... uh... dog activity -- plus foot traffic -- behind it. I couldn't be happier with the results and the process.
A few weeks back our poor German Shepherd had one of those "I've forgotten how these intestine things work" days while at home alone all day. I returned home that evening to find horrendous splatters of everything you can imagine all over the floor (I have photos, but I think I'd get kicked off of yelp for posting them). This included the aforementioned area rug.
We cleaned up what we could, but we knew we'd have to do a deeper cleaning to really restore it to decent shape.
Enter Baker's Chem-Dry. I researched several other options online -- Rug Doctor (rental), rug cleaning shop (drop-off), other services (home-visit) -- and decided to try these guys because of their yelp reviews and the promised quick-dry time.
They showed up on time, were remarkably fast, did a fantastic job, and didn't try to sell me on anything beyond what I asked about.
In the end, we got our carpet back in fantastic shape, and it took less than 30 minutes on a day when I was going to be working from home anyway. It was dry within 3 hours, which is about how long it would've taken us to rent, use, and return a Rug Doctor machine (not to mention the iffy results and long dry time with RD). All this for about $40 more than RD would've cost. That was $40 very well spent!
Total. Win.
It's so clean now that I just *know* that our dog is scheming up ways to soil it again. It's Dog vs. Baker's Chem-Dry now (and I'm betting that BCD will prevail). -

These guys are awesome. But before I get into that, I have to share the little backstory on *why* I had to have the carpet cleaned in the apartment i just moved in to a few weeks ago:
The management company I rented this place from assured me that the apartment would be cleaned before I moved in, and that the carpets would be steamed. I don't even *get* carpet, and what function it's supposed to serve. Is it a germ sponge? Is it tapping into some animal need for humans to feel something soft and grass-like under our feet? I mean, unless you're tip-toeing in fresh-out-of-the-laundry cotton socks, vacuuming the thing multiple times a week and NEVER spilling a thing on it, it's just destined to get nasty. Maybe there's more to that simulated grass idea than I thought...you get the soft texture, you get the nasty dirt, and you get bugs. Yeah, I'm gonna roll with that theory for now.
Anyway, the carpet stank. It smelled like someone had run a few laps around the neighborhood, came home, pulled their sweaty socks off, wore them as mittens, and walked around on their hands until they passed out in a sweaty heap on the floor. I don't know HOW this place passed any kind of inspection, unless the inspector has a foot fetish or something.
My ever-clever girlfriend (who has a nose that knows, god bless her) knew right away that this carpet was *never* shampooed like the owners had said, and immediately had allergic reactions to what was most likely cat dander in the carpet. She got on the case, found the carpet cleaning promotion offered through Yelp, and we set up an appointment.
I received a call about 30 minutes before the scheduled arrival time, and it was a cool guy named Pierre who told me he was running *early*. Already a good sign. I told him to come right over. Pierre was extremely knowledgeable, down-to-earth, and incredibly friendly and earnest. He told me how everything worked, what he was going to do, and that despite my reaction to the musty carpet, he's seen far worse. Yikes.
But the best part is coming up.
He first steamed every inch of the carpet, even pausing to scrub a few tough little stains (that, ahem, "passed inspection"), and told me " Wait until ya see this."
We went to dump the tank on the steam cleaner out into the bathroom. Just so you know--the tank is what the steamer picks up out of the carpet. The "we had it shampooed before you moved in" carpet in question. What came out can only be described as a mudslide (+2 for Primal Grass Theory). Gallon upon gallon of nasty, rank brown water filled the toilet bowl. It was so nasty, I had to snap a pic and send it to (only my closest) friends.
Pierre went a 2nd time over the carpet with this trippy machine that had a spinning terrycloth on the bottom of it. This basically soaked up most of the moisture that the steamer had left behind. Ever notice how when you shampoo a carpet w/ the supermarket carpet shampooer, it kinda stinks? What's up with that? Do we put stinky shampoo in our hair, take a sniff and think "yay! clean?" Yeah, me neither. This place smelled downright lemony-fresh after he was done.
Total elapsed time? About one hour. I gave Pierre a tip and we were both on our way. He said it'd be about 4-6 hours to dry, and he wasn't kidding---when we came back that night, the place was pretty dry.
So, why the 4 stars? Well, while the stinky-feet smell (not the corn chip feet smell, I'm talking actual sweaty socks smell) was about 85% gone, the lingering 15% was still there. Pierre never made promises to wipe the smell out completely, so I don't blame him for it. I blame my nasty property managers for not changing the carpet in 3 years, and lying to me about having it cleaned.
Thumbs up to Pierre and Baker's Chem-Dry. And another thumbs up to the friendly guy on the phone when I called them. -

Baker's Chem Dry did a great job. They came out right on schedule to clean my carpets. My carpets were cleaned many moons ago. I debated about purchasing new carpets or getting them cleaned. I am happy I decided to get them cleaned. They look brand new I mean really brand new! No joke! I took my wife out to dinner with all the money I saved. Thanks Baker's Chem Dry!

Note to self: If you volunteer to pet sit a friend's cat, be aware the animal needs some basics such as food and a CLEAN place to pee and poop.
After my disastrous month of pet sitting for my friend, I just about got the hang of cleaning out the cat box pretty much daily. But before that, the kitty and I had a way way different opinion about what was acceptable as an elimination spot. After a week, little presents started showing up on my area rug in the living room, my bedroom carpet, and wet spots on my sofa cushions and pillows. Did I use the word disaster? We both got trained in the ways of the other, but the damage was done. My whole apartment smelled like it needed 12 inches of scented kitty litter everywhere.
After the kitty from hell was gone, I called around and talked to Baker's Chem-Dry carpet cleaners. Not only could they clean my carpets and area rugs in place, but they also could do my sofa. They took the time to explain their unique green cleaning system, which uses a carbonated solution - no soaps used or left behind. They mentioned they use less water than traditional steam cleaners, which causes the carpets and upholstery to dry faster.
I hired Baker's Chem Dry, and they showed up in the 'window' of time they said they would. The worker came in and measured everything, talked to me about what he found and made suggestions as to what would be best for my own private cat box/apartment. What I really appreciated was he listened. He listened to what I wanted, did not push for additional services, and patiently answered all my questions.
The carpet cleaning and sofa cleaning was done in about two hours. I hung around reading and on line in the kitchen, and no breaks were taken, no phone calls. I was even more impressed. After he finished and got all his gear back to his truck, he went over my whole apartment showing me where the spots were and what to expect after it dried. It pretty much went as he said, the carpet dried a little unevenly and looked splotchy, but the place had no smell and looked great when everything became dry.
I will not cat sit again. Or if I do I will be much more diligent about cleaning the litter box. And you can be sure I will call Baker's again. -

This company is terrific. I phoned them on Thursday and spoke to Chris, who I believe is a manager/ owner. He was really nice and did not give me a hard sell. Chris sent Pierre to my house n Friday. He was friendly and super professional. Pierre gave me a price quote ($125 + $45 for a flight of stairs) and got to work. Two hours later my carpet looked better than ever.
Caveat: carpet cleaning will not remove 100% of your stains, especially if they have been there for some time. We have cream colored carpets (dangerous) and I think Pierre got about 75% of the stains out.
I'm very pleased and would use again. -

Our carpets in our sun porch got soaked when a window was left open during a recent rain storm. I called Baker's Chem Dry because they did such a fantastic job on our carpets in the past. Bob showed up and extracted all the water from the carpets. Fortunately for us we had no carpet pad underneath. He left an industrial blower to get everything completely dry to run for 24 hours.
On his return he sanitized and cleaned the carpet. It is awesome. -

Wow! I work for an outdoor recreation company, and our office carpet (only installed 2 years ago) were thrashed from dragging in gear, hosting teenagers, and generally just being messy folks. I came to Yelp looking for a carpet cleaning service that was environmentally friendly and decided that Baker's was the one to try after reading so many good reviews.
I was not disappointed! I got a friendly voice on the phone, an accurate quote, and a nice guy who showed up on time. He even gave me massive discounts because we were a non-profit, and finished everything - stain treatment, vacuuming, cleaning & Scotchguarding - in less than an hour. Grease stains, mud stains, water stains... all gone! I cannot wait until my coworkers come back into the office on Monday and see how nice the carpet looks. Baker's is staying on my company maintenance vendor list for sure! -

Got our carpets cleaned last Saturday. The guy was nice and prompt but he didn't call before he got there. Not that big of a deal. Their big selling point was environmentally friendly carpet cleaning that works and doesn't leave the carpets wet for hours. In that sense they succeeded and failed.
The carpets were cleaned out and they even did a half way good job of getting out some tough stains. Overall it was fine. However, the carpets were wet for 4-5 hours and we even ran fans over them.
The carpet cleaning was fine but not $195 fine. There is another joint in the city we like to use that uses a Grapeseed Oil Extract spot treater and they also use steam extraction. I think we'll go back to them. It's the same level of cleaning, cheaper price and the carpets aren't wet for so long and we get a nice pleasant grapeseed oil scent for a few days!
So, in closing - Baker's ChemDry is fine. Not bad, not amazing; good. Nothing wrong with Good. -

Very pleasant to work with. Called before coming to my place so I can be there. Took the time to listen to all of my issues with the carpet... Offered to clean the rug I just bought too. Paid, left my apartment to them and when I came back 30 minutes later they were gone and my carpet was cleaner than when I first moved in! They were super cheap too!
They are amazing and I would definitely go back to them if I need their service again! -

Since the NBA and NHL playoffs are currently ongoing, and since it is almost June, I will be using these sports' analogies to describe Baker's Chem Dry Carpet Cleaners. They came by and cleaned my carpets and a Persian rug that belonged to my grandmother.
Slam Dunk.
Empty Net Goal.
Score.
Professional Players.
It is so easy to work with Baker's Chem Dry Carpet Cleaners. They answered the phone, answered my questions, which were long, and answered my prayers. Meaning they showed up when scheduled, told me what to expect, and got right to work ridding the carpet and Persian Rug of dirt, dust and stains. These guys are professional carpet cleaners, period. The carpets dried in about 4 hours and look great. I will be using them again. -

Water damage to carpets is not sexy. Not sexy at all. There is a chance that mold and mildew will get started in the dampness, plus whatever other creatures like a nice damp carpet to live in. My furnace sprung a leak right after a company came to repair the heat exhanger. Evidently they knocked loose a condenser pipe. I was happy, because now I could have heat going into the cold rainy season. Two days later, I walk by the furnace, and *squish* *squish* the carpet in front of the furnace was all kinds of wet.
The furnace company came and fixed the leak, and they gave me a number for a carpet cleaning company they prefer. No problem to me, I was not paying, so I called. Talked to Baker's Chem Dry Green Carpet Cleaners, and they asked plenty of questions. We scheduled for the next day.
By then it had been 2 days wet, and I was fearful that the carpet would be ruined. (Actually, I just didn't want the hassle of having some carpet torn out and replaced - moving furniture, etc.) So I was happy when the showed-up-on-time Baker's technician looked and said: "Oh, easy-peasy."
He had brought a blower with him to dry the carpets more after he was done, but we did not need it. The gray carpet had turned brown in the wet area, and there was a darker brown line at the edge. After he was done, the carpet was all the same shade of gray, he told me to wait 4 hours before walking on it, but it should be fine. He said the (certified) green carpet cleaning process used by Chem Dry was great at extracting water out of wet carpets, and eliminating the potential for mold and mildew.
Now I know why that heating and air conditioning company uses Baker's Chem Dry. Completely professional and quick. -

So we had to move out of our place about 2 months ago, we had been there two years. A little run down of how messed up the place was; it had various parties in it, actual GREEN carpets, carpeted staircases, 2 floors, and some of the worst stains you've seen in your life.
So with all this to account for there was no way we could do this ourselves, low and behold Baker's Chem-Dry SAVED US. They did such a good job the carpet looked BETTER than when we moved in. The color in the carpet was ENHANCED and it looked UNREAL how good it was.
They were punctual with the cleaning, gave a good discount, cleaned the stairs, and left our landlord asking who cleaned for us. Definitely highly recommended if you have a carpet that needs Jesus! Well maybe at least a good cleaning... -

This review goes to show there's something for using the little guys versus the giants - like Coit.
I needed my carpets cleaned and found these guys online and called immediately. I loved that they use natural ingredients - for even less than Coit, who I'd called prior. I was quoted $149 minimum with Coit vs ecofriendly Baker's at $95 - SHWING!
The customer service on the phone was great. First they had to reschedule and then I had to reschedule but they were very flexible with me.
Alas, Mr. Carpet Cleaning Man came with his big, ecofriendly machine and products and got 3 rooms done in 20 minutes. Best part? It only takes 2 hours to dry! Another best part? He left me with a large ecofriendly complimentary bottle of carpet/upholstery cleaner.
GREAT marketing and I thought I'd should it from the rooftops. -

Seriously - two dogs plus dinner parties plus a clumsy S.O., mixed with plates of food and drink going up the stairs then down the stairs = Messy, Dirty Carpets.
Ring Ring - Bakers ChemDry, we need help.
One thing to make note of right away is they are almost always early for their appointed time, so make sure you didn't just roll out of bed, still have your morning clothes on, big unwashed hair and only your first cup of coffee. Add that to not having furniture moved and that would have been my experience. But that isn't a negative. That is a huge positive. Someone on time, or early for an appointment? Is it the apocalypse?
They are so thorough, they took just a little over an hour to clean two flights of stairs and 3+ rooms. Every little spot and stain that we could identify, and even the ones we couldn't - gone. Completely.
Service is very friendly, and that is huge for me. Great service, on time, great price and no stains = one VERY happy client.
Oh, and by the way - this is the second time I have used them. The owner came this time, someone else came the time prior and both experiences were exactly the same. Now THAT is how to run a business! -

Other than some I'm-already-in-a-bad-mood-and-your-customer-servic e-is-kind-of-annoying-me pissiness on my part at the beginning of my Baker's Chem-Dry carpet cleaning experience (seriously, son-of-owner...don't tell me to call you on your cell phone one day and then get butthurt when I call you on your cell phone to ask you a question a few days later), I have nothing but glowing things to say about the gentlemen who arrived to clean my carpet.
It was $55 less than I was expecting ($95 for my small apartment), they were on time (early, even!), they were super speedy (in and out within 20 minutes) and very friendly! AND, the carpet looks AWESOME! -

I had Baker's Chem Dry Carpet Cleaning come to my house to clean the carpets, which they did with complete professionalism speed and courtesy. One week later the dishwasher hose burst soaking my kitchen linoleum, my hardwood flooring and my living room rug. And I had guests coming for a huge birthday party I had been planning for months on the next day. I wasn't thinking straight, and I called Baker's, as I probably should have called a cleanup company. Anyway, Baker's Chem Dry came within an hour of my call. I had mopped up the linoleum and hardwood flooring in the hallway, but water kept oozing from the carpeting back into the kitchen and hallway.
The technician started at the edges of the hardwood and linoleum floors and sucked up the water, working his way to the edge of the water on the carpet. After he was done that (he said it took him four passes) he cleaned the whole living room carpet using their eco-friendly Chem Dry process. As he did the whole living room, I could feel the tension drain from my body because everything would be OK. Actually, the carpet was dry enough to walk on the next morning, plenty of time to get ready for guests.
The party was a success on carpets cleaned twice in 2 weeks. I was happy the disaster hose burst didn't ruin my months of planning. -

I just got rid of the reminders of a busy July, during which we had 3 sets of visitors staying with us over a four week period. First, it was my wife's parents from France, a nice ten day stay in the US. They were in our house 7 of the 10 days, and spent some nights at other attractions in Northern California. Then my sister and her family (3 kids and a hubby) came for an extended weekend. Woo-Hoo what a madhouse. Finally, my parents showed up for the last week of the month, and we had plenty to do and see.
I just got my carpets, wood floors and kitchen ceramic floor tiles cleaned. I shopped around for a reputable company, and I believe I found one, Baker's Chem Dry Green Carpet Cleaning.
They came on time and cleaned my carpets first, using the green process Chem Dry. It uses no harsh chemicals, no soaps and leaves no residue in the carpets or area rugs. Next they cleaned my hardwood flooring, which was never done by a service since I have lived here 10 years. Huge difference for the hardwood floors, they look more uniform and shinier. On a separate day they cleaned my kitchen ceramic tile flooring and grout. I thought it would take all day, but they were done in four hours, and the price reflected that efficiency. -

Twice was my appointment rescheduled - each time with little notice... This was much to my dismay because i was cleaning the sofa to sell and people had neglected to purchase it due to stains...
But finally my day arrived and the man Bob himself cleaned my sofa. He did a wonderful speedy job and fully redeemed the latency issue by knocking a good 45 bucks off the price... something I would have waited for anyways.
So cheers to Bakers Chem Dry - be wary that they may cancel on you but when they do get to you... they get to you good. good and clean. -

My kitchen is a dream. It is large, well laid out and has tons of space for storage with the upgrade cabinets. It is the main reason we bought the house. Over the years the tile flooring was looking less and less like the matching tile counter tops. I would scrub, try waxing (that did SO not work), and scrub some more, all the while becoming more resigned to "that is the way it is" and there is nothing you can do about it.
I heard from my friend Betsy of the miracle tile job a cleaning company did to her floor, so I got the scoop and called Baker's Chem Dry Green Carpet Cleaning. Which I never would have done from the company name alone. They came out to look at the tiles, and gave me a written estimate. I signed up because it was so reasonable, and because they would also do my counter tops too.
My kitchen now looks like it could be in a Sunset Magazine spread of great looking kitchens. I probably will be calling soon to have my carpets done. -

I recently used Baker's Chem Dry Green Carpet Cleaners to clean our carpets. However, my needs are fairly different from others.
My 3 year old son is incredibly chemically sensitive. The carpet needed to be cleaned but I was very apprehensive because of the normal cleaning solutions most companies use. When I called Chem Dry and learned they had a product that left NO residues it was comforting to say the least.
When they were finished, the carpet was clean, my son did not have any adverse reactions, thank the Lord, and it was a fair price.
So, thank you Baker's Chem-Dry. I will be using you again. -

Having both a dog and a baby in a flat with white carpet makes me a carpet cleaning company's dream. Because every little stain shows in our place, and since my daughter has decided that the carpet tastes delicious, I am a bit obsessed with keeping it fresh and clean. I may vacuum constantly and treat stains as they occur, but let's be honest, there is something totally different about having the carpets professionally cleaned. That's where Baker's comes in.
I have used Baker's three times in this apartment (and once in my prior place) so I think I've got a pretty good handle on their company. Yes, they do great work and the carpet dries really quickly. But what I think sets this company apart is their customer service, which is truly exceptional. The first time we used them, they were able to fit us in in a pinch when no one else could. Their employees call when they are nearby and are very courteous. They honored my Plum District discount deal easily, without trying to sell me on more stuff.
But the best example of their customer service occurred when I spoke to the owner a few days after a cleaning. I had one stain that just didn't budge and it really annoyed me that it might come back after having paid for a professional clean. So I called the company to see what they could do, prepared for a bit of a battle to maybe get a discount on a future cleaning. Imagine my amazement when they scheduled someone to come back that same week free of charge to clean it again. I was told, and I quote, "we're not happy until you're happy". Say what?! How cool is that? Good old fashioned customer service - the kind I used to hear my grandparents talk about. You know - when the guy you deal with actually cares about customers and wants to keep them. Heck, I'm a jaded girl who expects to encounter the usual hourly kid working the phones for a chain company that couldn't care less if you take your business elsewhere.
So I am definitely a repeat customer and give them my highest recommendation. Oh, and for the record, the stain came out when they returned. -

My sister finally got her carpets cleaned (sorry sis, it was long overdue) and when she told me she was going with a green carpet cleaning company I was happy, but admittedly a little concerned whether or not they would do the job. Baker's Chem Dry Green Carpet Cleaners not only did the job, but I am convinced they did a better cleaning job than other non-green companies. I did some research on the Chem Dry process and here is what I found out.
The Chem Dry process uses carbon dioxide under pressure in solution with the hot water in the cleaning engine. This pressure is released at the cleaning head right on to the carpet fibers, causing the gas to release out of solution causing a foaming action. The foam hyper-agitates the dirt away from the fiber at the micro level, cleaning quickly with no soap. No soap means no residue, and there is less water delivered to the carpet. This allows the clean carpet to dry faster that standard carpet cleaning processes. My carpet dried in about 3 and a half hours.
Speaking of detergents, I learned that some of the non-green carpet cleaning detergents have optical brighteners in them that reflect back a blue shine to make the carpet seem cleaner that it really is. Sort of put a polish on the fiber. The point is that the main concern of those carpet cleaning companies is to make sure that the carpet looks clean, not that it actually is clean.
Baker's Chem Dry Green Carpet Cleaners backs up the green cleaning solution with impeccable service. Sis said the technician showed up on time and got right to work. He was finished with her four rooms in less than 3 hours, and now her house smells fresh, not flower-y. -

Baker's Chem Dry Green Carpet Cleaning came out and cleaned my carpets on Tuesday in the living room, hallway and bedrooms. All the carpets look much brighter, and I am sleeping better than I was before. Evidently the accumulated dust was bothering me and making me stuffy as I slept. Even some stains I was resigned about not getting cleaned came out.
I recommend Baker's Chem Dry Green Carpet Cleaners because they have a great system (Chem Dry) that has no soaps to leave behind in the fibers and it dries in less than 4 hours. They are professional at the office. When I called they talked to me like I have a brain and they care, patiently answering all of my questions. They are professional in the field. The worker (Morgan) showed up on time, immediately got to work, and didn't stop until all rugs were done. -

Baker's is the best! We just had our carpet cleaned by them today and they did a wonderful job! Our carpets all look like new and they even got some furniture stain out of our rug which we thought wouldn't be possible. Frank had amazing customer service skills and did a thorough job in our place. We are really happy with this service and will definitely use this company again.
