These guys are awesome. Been using them for the last 3 years.
One time I decided to go with some other company that was recommended by a friend. The next day I had to call Baker's Chen-Dry to come and save me, because the work by the other company was so poorly done. Flexible, reliable, friendly, professional and just doing a great job!
AND my favorite part is that the carpets are not soaking wet and don't feel like a swamp. The time that you need to stay off the carpet is cut in half! -

I had an absolute disaster of an experience with this company. I got a living social coupon and was planning to use the coupon to clean an area rug and some wall to wall carpeting.
My first attempt at scheduling the appointment was in the first few weeks after buying the coupon and their availability didn't match my needs because of which we couldn't schedul it. I then scheduled an appointment a week before the coupon expired and booked an appointment. Two days later I got a call saying that they had mistakenly double booked and couldn't honor the appointment. They then indicated that because the coupon was now expiring they would do me a 'favor' and let me schedule for the next week and next week only. I was out of town that week but, based on their demands, I decided to fly back at 3:00am in the morning to be there for the 8:00 am appointment.
Once the guy came in,. he refused to do a mix and match. the living social coupon doesn't state anywhere that you cannot mix and match. Any good company would try to be flexible, just like I was trying to be by seeing how we can make it work. but, no instead a lady from bakers chemdry calls me up and starts yelling saying that the coupon clearly states that mix and match is not allowed. I was really pissed off and yelled back at her. Living social was kind enough to cancel the coupon and credit me.
But, chemdry I am afraid has no customer service or manners on how to deal with customers. If I could I would give them negative ratings.
Never use chem dry again, they have the most horrible customer service and are full of themselves. -

Horrible experience...could've been a one-time thing, but when I called and stated my issues, "Chris said, I'm sorry" .......ANNNND that's it? That's not customer service.
1. They advertised a particular cleaning apparatus...showed up with some 1990's cleaner.
2. Missed a few spots and had to return...I probably would've noticed the spots if they weren't soaked....FOR TWO DAYS!!!! What's the Dry in Chem-Dry??!!
3. Worker returned and brought along his attitude to remedy the problem!
4. Have had cleaner carpets with Coit/Stanley
I wish we had had experiences like others....... -

Carpets came out looking good.
Customer Service was good.
Carpet technician was good.
On time professional carpet cleaning service.
My only criticism is that the would not tell me the price (IE $0.45 a square foot) over the phone. They say it is because carpets and conditions are different...but the price came out a little higher than expected for 1 year old low trim carpet. -

Zink broadcasting across the universe about life as she knows it.
My kitty has continued to yak fur balls at a regular rate until I got some medicine from the vet that dissolves the fur for digestion. Scary medicine, I say. So when the cat and I got in a routine of chasing her, prying the mouth open to give the medicine, and then making nice to each other to make up, I called Baker's Chem Dry carpet cleaning again to clean my carpet and area rug.
A week later Buddy shows up again. Very professional and personable, he first asked me how my cat was. Then he got right to work and cleaned my carpets as quick as you please, and then cleaned my area rug as well. I had forgotten how wonderful it is to have really clean carpets and a clean area rug. Even Yak is happy.

These guys are definitely AWESOME!! Their service is excellent and I would definitely use them and recommend them ten times over. I would say they are my lifetime go to carpet cleaners from now on. Why so much praise?
Well we had a billing mistake in the beginning regarding discount coupon not being honored. Chris Baker(owner) himself called me three times to apologize and corrected the billing situation. Him and his father, take customer SATISFACTION very seriously and will do what it takes to provide that. They are native Bay Area residents and want to serve the community as if everyone is their friend and neighbor.
Providing excellent cleaning service, but also providing that 110% customer service is hard to come by these days. Baker's Chem-Dry excels in both arenas as they understand the power of the internet and social medium for doing business in this global economy.

Baker's Chem-Dry Green Carpet Cleaners came to my condo on Saturday and cleaned my carpets an area rug and my hardwood floors. I like the concept of green safe cleaning with no toxic harsh chemicals.
All I have to say is Extreme Makeover, without Ty Pennington (hunk) and his crew tearing the place apart and doing everything over and me spending a week at Disney World courtesy of ABC.
I thought my carpets were not bad, but my area rug has been a spot and stain magnet and my hardwood flooring was getting pretty dull. I have a bad back and cannot clean like I used to. Buddy showed up for my appointment on time and went over the options for my carpets. I chose the anti allergen treatment and the protectant for my wool area rug.
When he was done I was just amazed. My carpet, which I thought was not that bad, looked two shades lighter. My hardwood floor looked great all cleaned and polished. And my area rug rebounded from the neglect and spills and looked like it was brand new.
Thank you Baker's Chem-Dry for a great job on my floor and rugs.

Chris the owner personally contacted me and offered a sincere apology after he read my previous feedback.
Per our conversation, I learned that this company takes customer's feedback seriously. The owner wants to make sure that his customers are 100% satisfied. I believe this attitude also carries on to the cleaning part.
However, I can't give it 5 stars because I do not use their cleaning service at all. I have no idea how Chris' crew perform the job.

I gave it a 4 stars right after receiving the owner's call; however, I think I was too sentimental at that time. Because I do not use it's service at all, a 4 stars was a bit too high IMHO.1 Previous Review: Show all »

For Easter we had a large family gathering and last week I thought it would be real embarrassing to have company because my area rugs and couch were dreadful. The arms of the couch were a dirty shade of the normal color and there were food and drink stains too. If I put a throw blanket on the couch it is not a solution. And the couch was smelling 'earthy' to put it politely. The area rugs had gotten similar abuse with multiple stains.
I called Baker's Chem Dry Green Carpet Cleaners because of the Yelp reviews to get things in order before Easter by cleaning the upholstery and cleaning the area rugs. Morgan came out to look at the job and was confident that most of the stains would be gone. After explaining what he could and could not do he got to work. He used the Chem Dry solution that has no soaps or toxic chemicals (from the website), and is safest for children and pets. He was done in about an hour from start to end. I wasn't expecting brand new couch or area rugs but the transformation was amazing before they dried. I could already tell the arms and spots were much better. The next day I was more than amazed. Overjoyed works for me. Both cleaned area rugs were brighter colored and looked great. The couch had some residual, but given the beginning condition it looked fantastic. Thanks yelpers, my Easter was a success.
