Golden, CO
This is a very fun pub with a good selection of beer and british pub faire. Service is great and the restaurant is very attractive. All of the beer is really tasty and they have a great happy hour for cheaper draught beer ($2.50 domestics and $1 off all others).
However, the restaurant is always over crowded and its hard to move around. The food is OK, but I would expect better fish and chips from a British Pub. I do admit that my pub standards are pretty high after pub crawling in London and going to as many as I can in the states. I found the fish tasteless and the chips were nothing to write home about. Overall, the food was OK.
If you're in the Belmar area, try it out. Otherwise, nothing to come to from miles around. -
Review from Adam J.
I'm starting to wonder if I just don't have the taste buds for British food, or if the pubs I've been to are just pretty boring.
I had bangers and mash, and they were decent. But they were just two sausages on top of mashed potatoes, and I didn't think either component was something worth writing home about. The sausage was a little sweet and the potatoes were salty, which made them work well together. But I could have made some instant mashed potatoes and some chicken sausage at home and it would have been just as good or better.
Tanya had the mozzarella cheese and tomato salad and it was also solid. The dressing was tasty and the little cheese balls were nice.
So it's three star food. Nothing you'll remember the next day, but nothing you'll regret later that night. The service, though, seemed disinterested and annoyed. We were in kind of a hurry, because I had a concert to go to, so we had to grab the waitress a couple of times to get our order in and get our bill, and she made me feel like we were interrupting her private meditation time.
I don't really see any reason to head back any time soon, but I won't adamantly oppose it if for some reason others want to try it. -

For some reason I can't figure out how to describe this place. It's as if someone took the idea of a nostalgic Irish pub, took out the authenticity, and filled it with Bennigan's style crap.
The Good:
- My bangers and mash were decent. The gravy was over salted, and the sausages were a bit too much like breakfast links (in taste), but as an overall dish I wasn't disappointed.
- Decent beer selection.
The Lame:
- The D-Bags littering this place. I was shocked at how many idiots were around. There were a lot of "Bro, _________." statements (insert comment about female anatomy, binge drinking, bros before hoes, etc). *sigh*
I hear they have live music on the weekend, and later days during the week. Depending on the quality of the music and the volume, that might raise them to three stars, or quickly drop them to one.
Either way, probably won't be back anytime soon. -

I love their fish and chips; it's something about how they flavor it, it's very good. The theme is Sherlock Holmes for the most part, for those Yelpers that were confused during their visit, and with a dash of a British pub as best that an American can do. I've never had bad service here, and I hope not to experience that. I had the potato soup on my second visit and wasn't that impressed with it. My boyfriend makes a better potato soup honestly, but I don't let this one thing taint my overall experience. I've never been carded at the door and then again when I ordered drinks. I've never had to wait a long time to be seated either. I guess that I've just been lucky with my visits and hope that continues. I highly recommend this place to those that have never been.
Common Sense Tip: If you don't like crowds, don't go to a place when you know there will be a lot of people. -

This place has a very nice atmosphere. Wait staff is pretty nice. I had a drunk guy hitting on me and my friend here and wouldn't leave me alone, so the manager stepped in and rescued us. (I don't blame the restaurant for the drunk annoying guy....every place has one of them).
Unfortunately, their options for food and drinks are not great. I am a vegetarian and there was only two salads and a couple appetizers I could have. They also wouldn't take off the meat on some of the appetizer/salad options. Most places usually offer a meatless pasta or sandwich entree. I'm also not really a fan of beer, so not many other great options for alcohol.
The good thing about this place is it is close to the movie theater, which I go to a lot. -

Ahhh, Baker St. We've had good times, and also not so good times. My friends and I have been to this... we'll go with pub... many times because I live within walking distance from it. I've never had a bad meal here, but the food is your typical bar fare. However, we mostly go for the drinks because they have happy hour until 9pm! This is awesome until 9:01, when you are still hanging out drinking and don't realize until you receive your tab that every drink you ordered after happy hour was twice the price. So, overall, a good neighborhood spot, but watch out after happy hour because they will gouge your pockets as bad as any bar downtown.

This place is really hit or miss.
I've been here a good amount because a friend of mine lives right next to Bel Mar, so it can be a go-to spot.
Through a series of events, we ended up going twice in one night, and that seemed to highlight just how hit or miss it can be.
The first trip, we sat at the bar and enjoyed happy hour. The bar staff was attentive, helpful, and nice. If we finished a beer, they'd check in with us soon afterwards to see if we wanted another one.
We came back after we couldn't a lane at Lucky Strike, and it was a 180. We sat at a table right next to the bar so we had a server-we were in a slight rush because we had a movie to catch. We only saw our server every 10-15 minutes, and had to flag her down to get a second drink and pay our tab.
When this place is good, it's good-nice staff, good live music, good beers. But at times, the service is horrendously slow and almost non-existent.
It's a roll of the dice, so you've gotta ask yourself-do you feel lucky? -

It's good that things never change, I suppose. Makes my final review for Baker's Street easy.
Showed up on a saturday afternoon to meet some friends for lunch. We waited at the "Please wait to be seated" sign (for a restaurant that wasn't even busy) for about 5 minutes, with a line steadily growing behind us. Made eye contact with the bartender, who would immediately turn and make herself look busy, as well as a group of three servers at the wait station who weren't really interested in anything except chatting with each other. After standing there and getting ignored, we finally walked and grabbed our own table. We saw the host come back (apparently she was in the restroom, and at Baker's when someone is on break no one else has to help out) and she started seating people. From that moment on we get a pretty healthy dose of Stink Eye™ from most of the staff. We asked for a high chair when our friends arrived and it took about 5 minutes as well. Our server had the usual Baker's Street attitude of "Consider yourself lucky I'm waiting on you, because I couldn't care less."
The food was on par with what we have had in the past. They forgot our kid's meal, and it took quite a while to come out. By then the kid was stuffed on mom and dad's food, so she didn't want it.
All in all, that was my last visit. The service is fair to i-hate-waiting-on-people poor, and the food has never really blown me away.
It amazes me that restaurants that have better service and food go under and places like Baker's continue to thrive. I can't believe the dozen or so times I have been there and have seen the same things over and over are a coincidence. Meh.1 Previous Review: Show all »

I've been to Belmar many times, but until last night I didn't even know Baker Street Pub was here. I don't think it's as bad as most of the reviews make it sound, but it's definitely nothing special.
The vibe is confused-- are they themed? Are they a restaurant? Are they a bar? I don't know. Service was kind of strange. Our server didn't give us a chance to look at the drink menu before impatiently saying "I'll go get you water while you make up your mind.". She had to be prompted to explain happy hour and that we had bread and side options for our sandwiches. I'm also confused as to why we got carded at the door and when we ordered our drinks.
As far as food goes, I won't complain too much. I (and my friend's husband) had the turkey avocado club sandwich. The turkey and ham weren't as flavorful as you'd hope for, but anytime you put bacon and avocado on a sandwich you're guaranteed to be successful, and they were generous with both key ingredients. The chips that came with the sandwich were delicious, although it was strange we weren't given fries as an option like the menu stated. My friend had the chicken salad with grapes, and said it was fine.
Both the food and drink menus have a lot of variety and the location is good, but I don't know that I'd go out of my way to come back. -

I have to agree with most of the other reviews. I like it, don't love it & don't hate it. It's got a nice spot outside in the winter by the fire place, watch people ice skate & have a beer. The food it typical, but nothing special.
Good for some drinks & watchin a game. -

I've been coming to this pub for almost 4 or 5 years now. It's my neighborhood bar, chain or not.
In my first review I was a bit scathing about the inconsistency, and that has gone through some ups and downs and landed on pretty damn good. I know this may sound like blasphemy but I prefer their Fish and Chips to GB's... in both taste and value. Their buffalo chicken sandwich is excellent and they have arguably the best happy hour in town.
Their dedication to live music has been one of the hallmarks of my near constant patronage. And where they use to churn through waitresses, there has been a pretty constant crew for almost a year now. I think they've hit their stride and I almost feel bad about the crack I made about my dead grandfather being faster. Almost... it still makes me smile.
I figure any place I go to week after week for 4 or 5 years deserved an updated... and better review.1 Previous Review: Show all »

I would give it 4 stars, but the service is ssssssllllowwww. I had a great time with a bunch of fun girls and ate good food on the company dime. There was an off-duty Santa Claus hitting on two ladies at the bar. I have pictures to prove it.

Denver, CO
This place gets a bad rap, probably for it's chainish-nish. Sure, it's a Texas based national chain, but don't judge it just for that. If you're truly honest the fact is that the traditional British dishes are well executed. The Fish and Chips has a homemade batter (not frozen), the fries (ahem, "chips") are nice and crispy, and they have a great selection of beer even though 90% of their patrons only order Coors and Bud Light.
Deviate from the British staples and it gets even better. There is an advantage of drinking at a Texas-based British pub, not the least of which is the delicious homemade chips and salsa, great tacos (the British empire never stretched to Baja, did it?) and tasty little sliders (don't miss the southern chicken slider--seriously, where else do you buy this in Denver?)
Oh yeah, the staff is super friendly too. O.K., not always top notch in terms of service skills, but always caring and concerned.
Downsides? Well, it is popular. I can't get in on a Friday or Saturday night, but I can't hold that against them. That's the price of their popularity, but when I can get in I enjoy it. I might have voted this place a 4, but I feel that their sub-3 star ranking is unfair so I'm doing my part to kick it up a notch. Sorta like they do with their food. They don't have to care about the quality of the place, but they do, and I think that's why it's such a consistently great place. -

Slow service, weak drinks and bad food. The worst pretend British Pub I think I've ever been to. I think they just took an old Bennigans business plan and added Sherlock Holmes to the mix. I can see why since you'd have to be jacked up on Opium to have a good time here. I give it two stars since it's across the street from the movie theater, which is how I ended up here anyway. No stars for the bar, 2 stars for its proximity to the theater.

We must've come on a good night, because our waitress was pleasant and the food and drink came out quick and fresh.
We're new to the area and Baker St. is a little slice of home for us- great ambiance, good food, excellent Happy Hour deals as mentioned. My boyfriend got a Das Boot size nut-brown ale for $3.75 - hell yeah. I was shocked that they had a Grey Goose martini for under 8 bucks -- guess I'm used to paying DC prices but wow, awesome.
I ordered the Sheperd's Pie which seemed to be a great deal at $8.99 - it was seasoned beautifully and I "mmm'ed" at every bite. The boy is a "reuben connoisseur " and ordered one; to which he mumbled between mouthfuls "I think this is one of the best reuben's I've ever had!" We enjoyed the outdoor seating on a crisp fall night, they even had a little fireplace going.. we may return with our muppet of a dog- goldendoodle Enzo- as it appeared they were cool with people tying their pups on the outside of the fence that surrounded the patio tables.
We finished up with a couple drinks inside at the bar.. and as we were leaving we almost couldn't believe our luck - there's a game room tucked away in the corner with... OH MY GOD ... GOLDEN TEE. Sit me down in a good bar with some decently priced drinks and a GT machine and I'll probably be there all night. We've just found our go-to place for great Happy Hours, meat pie craving satisfaction and golden tee excellence. Thanks Baker Street!!! -

Came here on a Friday night to find the parking lot absolutely packed. Apparently this is how it is on weekends and when we got up to the front door, we were nicely welcomed and in we went. We headed to the back area of the bar, where there was more room and managed to grab a table from a couple who were leaving. As the bar was busy with lots of people waiting for drinks, we were pleased to have an attentive server so we could avoid that.
The bar is very loud but there are definitely lots of characters to keep you entertained. There was an 80's cover band playing and they were really good. We could still hear them in the back room, and apparently the front area where they are gets to be very busy. The women's washroom had two attendants in it, which I thought was a little unusual considering the size of the washroom and the type of bar.
Our table overlooked the massive patio out back and it looks like it would be an ideal place to be on warm evenings, minus all of the smokers. The windows out to the patio also provided us with some extra entertainment as we watched the bouncers and patrons mix.
Overall, drink prices were average and while we didn't eat here, food prices looked decent. They have a full menu of options both for food and drink. If you want a place where you can meet tons of people, I would suggest coming here. If you want somewhere where you aren't being bumped and your conversation doesn't consist of yelling, maybe choose elsewhere. -

Cool atmosphere, friendly staff, typically great bands playing on the weekends, sub-par food, and fairly expensive drinks sum up this three star review.
I have been here so many times I can't count, but more out of convenience and to watch my friends band play, than out of real interest. Their HH is a good time and you can get some good deals and the patio is always a nice option to have in the summer.
I'm sure I'll be back when I come to Lakewood to visit soon, but it's not the first place on my list nor the last. -

Service was excellent, and atmosphere us good for what it is. It's not a real pub, more a themed restaurant, but it cones off well.
Had a sandwich, not all that good though. Good place for a beer though. -

This is gonna be a short one since I only sampled the alcohol and appetizers at the recent (and fantastic) Yelpiday on ice event.
Service was fairly good. Only found myself searching for a waitress a few times. Most of the night they were making the rounds ensuring everyone was properly boozed.
I got the Baker St brown ale, which I overheard is made by Tommyknocker out in Idaho Springs. The first glass I got was actually a little too cold and I couldn't get much of a grasp on the taste. The second and third were quite delicious. I'm sometimes hesitant with house brews but this one was definitely very good.
The appetizers were standard fare and thanks to our fearless community manager, free.
Overall, this place to me is a solid 3. Decent food, decent service, decent atmosphere. -

I could echo Justin M.'s review almost word for word. Nothing stands out here as super amazing or super horrible. Just pretty good, would patronize again :)
Service was fine - no one we interacted with was amazingly friendly but they weren't rude and they were prompt and attentive. Food was standard bar fare. I will say that for fries that were labeled "seasoned" on the menu, they were actually rather bland. We also had the cod strips which were just fine, nothing amazing, but good.
Definitely reminds me of the other British pub impersonators in and around Denver (Bull & Bush in Glendale, Slattery's in Greenwood Village). I like the idea of a British pub in Denver, but honestly, it can't really be pulled off unless you serve your beer at room temp and close down by 11PM. I think it's a nice touch that they all like to add a token British dish to the menu - here they've got the scotch egg - didn't try it, but it might be interesting!
All in all not bad. The band was okay, the crowd was pretty chill. Not a bad time! Best thing about it was the prices. For a corporate place, they were pretty reasonable. -

During a birthday celebration dinner on Saturday night my table overheard a manager call a group of girls in the ladies room bi**hes.
We asked to speak with the general manager, who was even more horrible. He admitted it happened and said that's how people in the restaurant industry 'talk shop.'
This behavior is unacceptable & should not be tolerated. Our group of friends will never go back to Baker Street Pub & Grill- which in sad for us since my husband works around the corner and we were semi-regulars. -

Have the urge to get ripped off on drinks and also get the worst service possible from servers as well as the manager? Go to Baker Street Pub.
The pub was plastered with flyers of an all day happy hour on Sundays. So that's what we ordered, three rounds of pitchers that should have cost roughly $16 each round. Everyone got charged $27 each round, and were too slap happy to realize it until they got home.
So I call the manager, Kyle. He tells me "No, we don't have happy hour this Sunday due to holidays, there's a flyer posted outside but I don't think anyone can actually read it." Okay. So I say, "We were under the impression that these drinks were at the happy hour price.." [waiting for him to take some action and improve his business image] Nothing happens.
He says, "Okay, is that all I can help you with?" And then the phone call ends. No rush to try to offer a discount, adjust charges to accommodate the misunderstanding. nothing. Did this guy actually take any class in customer service or service management for that matter?
Or did everyone in this joint literally take the Sherlock path and get too coked up to care?
Not only that, our never-showed-up-until-we-ordered-drinks-from-the-b ar server Angela charged me extra for a normal drink. The only drink I actually managed to order from that useless individual. I literally wrote, "THE STARBURST IS 6.50, NOT 6.75" on my check. Slipped in the Yelp card and watched her take it away.
Not only does she fail to rectify the situation, she walks out after her shift giving me a horrible glare. Nice customer service. If you can't handle your job, go back to high school and get your GED.
I'd stay away from this place, every single day of the week.
I can't tell you a story that gets much more terrible than this. -

My husband and I were in the mood for a good burger and being that Baker Street is close by we decided to check it out. Big mistake.
First off, when we walked in no one even acknowledged us for at least 5 minutes, then finally someone waved to the dining room and told us it was "seat yourself." Really? I thought that was just for outdoor seating - like first come, first serve on the patio? I mean why should a restaurant have to be bothered with actually seating their customers?!
We selected a table ordered a couple of beers and perused the menu. They have a good selection of various types of burgers, so I ordered one which sounded quite good: a burger with guacamole, pepperjack, onion strings and ranch...I was sorely disappointed. The burger was dry and tasteless - NOT what I'd been looking forward to. Seriously, how do you screw up a burger?
My husband ordered the two kinds of tacos and when I asked how they were his response was "eh." As we were walking around later, he turned to me and said, "That food was terrible! We are never eating there again." Agreed.
So, if you're looking for good pub fare or hospitality, skip this place. And, if you're in the mood for a burger, save yourself the money and the tip and hit the drive-thru...Wendy's would be a better choice. -

Well, I've visited Baker Street about ten times. And each time I swear I'm not going back. When I do find myself bellying up to the bar, or grabbing a table on the patio, my thoughts immediately drift to their "authentic" British menu. They have these sausages rolled in filo dough, served with pickles and spicy mustard for dipping. And they're amazing. I stick with tap beer and shots because I've had bad experiences with the mixed drinks. The bartenders are usually cool but the servers seem to be just a little smarter than a pile of rocks.
They do have a kick-ass patio, though, and on those summer nights when it gets a bit chilly, they have a fire to sit by. And the live music? Is usually too loud and obnoxious. -

I really wanted to have a good time, but for all the effort I put in, Baker Street just wouldn't cooperate. My gut told me that I shouldn't go to a "Sherlock Holmes Themed" bar, but I decided to give it a try.
We entered and got a round fairly quick so I was willing to forgive the vague theme, but then things started getting weird. A live band started to play which is usually enjoyable, but they proceeded to butcher some of my favorite songs. "Ok, they have good taste even if they aren't very good" I thought to myself. Then the giant started to loom...
The bouncer was easily 7 feet tall, and proceeded to walk circles around the bar all night staring at everyone, which was very ominous. Overall, there was just too much about this place that didn't work for me.
Oh yeah, and their drinks are 95% water. -

Faker Street Pub.
This bar is absolutely the worst place I have ever been to. Not only is this pub manufactured straight from corporate america, there waitstaff and bouncers are awful.
Walking in the pub, I could sense that this place has it all wrong. I walk to the bar to get a drink, and the chubby brunette bartender refused to serve me because I was standing in the wrong area. It would have been a simple request but the chubby brunette just served a customer from the same spot at the bar. Fine. So I walk over to the over side of the bar and the skinny blonde waitress behind the bar and she refused to give me my drink because our tab was associated with our table. That's cool. So I walk over to wear my friends were seated with out a drink and I was subjected to a band that covered Spin Doctor Songs. Eck. Lastly there are bouncer's with ear pieces that try to regulate their lakewood crowd. Need I say more...
From a Denver Native's standpoint, a neighborhood pub should be unpretentious with friendly waitstaff. Baker Street Pub missed the mark completely. Denver has many great places to enjoy a frosty brew at and Baker Street Pub isn't one of them. If you enjoy Faker Street Pub them you probably don't know any better.
If I could put no stars I would. -

Happy Hour is from 2-9pm every day except Sunday, and even then it's hours long... It should be called Happy Hours and Hours. :)
If they still serve it, get the brownie with ice cream - I was in decadence utopia as I partook of this dish while sitting out on the patio on a summer evening with my man.
Come on a weeknight to grab some easy patio for HH! -

Baker Street is Fado's cousin.
It was my first time in the fairy tale land of Belmar (affectionately referred to as "the LoDo of Lakewood" by its residents). Baker Street Pub seems to be the centroid of this lovely place, and yes, all walks of life seem to wander in. There is a plethora of douchebaggery that seems to stumble in, but what can you expect in a pub? Having been an outside visitor, I was pleasantly surprised. Our server was attentive and nice enough, I'd give her 4 stars. The coronas and margaritas were 4bills each, and the cherry apple cobbler was decent.
The best part (and probably the only reason I would return) was the live serenade by a band that covered classic rock and alternative (lovely rendition of "street with no name" I might add). At the end of the night, a faint dream is exactly what Baker Street seemed - nothing outstanding, nothing exceptionally memorable, nothing exceptionally horrible, but an overall pleasant memory.
If you like Fado's and would rather not deal with downtown, live closer to the West side and simply want to enjoy music and beers with your friends - Baker Street at Belmar is an option. -

Good enough food, good service, and great drinks and specials. Hey, it's a chain. If you're expecting top-notch food and attention from the staff, you need to rethink your expectations. Always good for a quick bite to eat, and a few drinks, especially late-night in Belmar.

I have definitely experienced better bars in the area. The bouncer was fairly rude. She asked for our IDs and then proceeded to text message on her phone, leaving us standing there with our licenses in hand. Um, ok... Not a great start.
We sit at the bar to watch the basketball game and are quickly greeted by the bartender. Awesome. We each order a beer and get it pretty quickly. Then we ask for a menu. Don't get one. We remind him over 10 minutes later and get the menu. Then we ask for water. That doesn't arrive either.
We'd finished our beers by then (35 minutes later) and decided to just go. The basketball game wasn't keeping us there and the service was just... poor. There are plenty of other places to get food and drink in Belmar.
While this bar looks swanky and comfortable, the service is so poor that it's not worth the visit. Try the Indian restaurant instead. Great service, great prices on food and liquor, big portions, and way more comfortable seating. Even better - it's right next door. -

Do not go to Baker St. if you're looking for good food, service, atmosphere. This location in Belmar is purely to get locals in the Belmar area a quick drink or a fast "edible" lunch.
Service is terrible. Occasionally you get a waitress that remembers you and she's pleasant, otherwise the staff is completely annoyed you're interrupting their day. You have to be aware that this is a bar that just happens to have some things on a menu to order. -

The food was pretty decent, the beer was cold, the service was terrible!
That statement pretty much sums up my whole experience!
I like the fact that you get ID'd at the front door, and everyone here is an adult. I absolutely hate going out for dinner and hearing kids screaming. I also like the fact that this a seat yourself place. That's nice. I came in here the other night for some good beer with my dinner. Came in, sat down, waited about 15 minutes or so for our service to finally come help us. I asked what they had on tap, which evidently was a terrible idea. All she could say was they have 35 beers on tap.. that's it. I wasn't necessarily asking her to recite everything on the menu, but really.. some examples, or naming a few would have been nice. (there is a list above the door when you walk in. I first noticed that when we left.)
The food was good. I'll give them that, I just had the Cobb salad, by bf had a burger, we both had a few beers. Decent food for decent prices! I'd like to go back, I don't want to just give up on this place after one terrible server. The whole night she'd walk away mid sentence, we couldn't ask any questions, because she couldn't answer them... great job girl! -

It only gets 2 stars because it is a pretty good happy hour deal. 2-9PM every day, all day Sunday. Domestic beers for $1.75 or something, and then well drinks for $1.75 also.
That's a good deal.
Otherwise, I don't know. 20 wait staff people, that from what I can tell spend most of their 8 hour shifts talking to each other. And the food I tried was far from great.
I got tempura chicken strips, for $6.99, and was expecting a plate of lightly battered tempura chicken strips. What I got were like 5 mcnugget sized pieces of chicken that were cooked too long in a batter that would have sucked anyway, even if it hadn't been burnt.
For $7, that's not really great by any means.
If you are really into Disney-like theme bars, I would go here, or to Fado's downtown. If you live in the neighborhood, and like to get hammered without spending much money, that'd be the other reason. Otherwise, I'd probably look elsewhere. -

I will give the pros first,
great happy hour 2pm-9pm and great food for the price* Get what you pay for.
Baker street is the only bar in Belmar and knows that so they can pretty much do whatever they want because the have no competition. This is my guess why they are actually still open for business.
Wednesday -Sunday there is live music...yes i normally get excited over live music too DON'T, the bands are terrible on occasion 1 out of 10 is decent. But do not expect to actually have fun, you may sit at a table and socialize with your friends. There is no stage no place to dance. The wait staff there is not horrible, but the managers who walk around with ear piece headphones making them feel really cool are the worst. I don't think they realize that they are not doing security for the president.
If you plan to go have a drink or two not terrible if you plan to go listen to live music and get drunk do not plan on having fun. Baker gives this type of bar impression off and that is not what it is. I lived close by for 2 months and it was the only watering hole that's why I went all the time, thankfully I moved out of fake Belmar corporate land.
A lot of older crowd 40-50 trying to stay young and its quite sad sometimes. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME THERE! -

Four of us had lunch at the Lakewood location. Two of us ordered fish and chips. One order was like you would expect. The fish was approximately 3/4-1" thick, the other order was close to 1/4" thick. If the server would have ever come back to the table I would have shown her the problem. Even if they don't do portion control, which would surprise me, then they shouldn't bring two drastically different portions to the same table. The women who got the proper portion kept trying to share hers with me(which I did not do). I decided to let her eat her meal, and I left hungry. Besides for the bad service and lack of portion control, the man at the FOH made a federal case over one of the woman bringing in water. Every woman that saw the sign on the door put their water in their purse. I understand they are trying to force customers to buy drinks, but because the guy was so rude about it, we all only ordered water. Not a great way to build the check, or return customers.

Baker Street has a great happy hour if you are a draft beer drinker but beware if you pass the happy hour threshold because the cost of a beer more than doubles. Their food is good and reasonably priced in Belmar. The menu has some different "across-the-pond" items that you won't find on a standard bar menu in the Lakewood area including bangers and mash and Sheppard's pie.
It's a little too busy on Friday nights for my taste but a cool place for lunch or to hang out on a weekend afternoon with your friends. -

Oh my gosh, 95% water drinks! You are a fool! You guys can all be hater's, but this place rocks. I am there frequent and have only had 1 or 2 chances to sit at tables, I am usually at the bar, and yes, that service is not up to par, but the bartenders rock it there every night! They are the reason why I go back.
On occasion there can be the sucky band, but they are getting better for sure. The atmosphere is fun for all ages (over 21)!
I would recommend going to this bar to anyone.
