I have no idea why I am so compelled to give this place a bad review? In all honestly I don't think anything was wrong with the place. On the contrary it was pretty good! Maybe that's it, it was just good..same ole' same.
I will applaud them for having really good looking salads . To quote my mom they are " Far Out " and I doubt that is a term she uses lightly. They aren't the type you'd expect from a fast-foodish Deli. I got the Tuna Sandwich ( I'm a creature of habit ) which was pretty good, nothing special. I got the Potato Salad which was lacking but "okay" like everything else in this damn place. I can see this place are somewhere you can count on as being a consistently "okay" place to have a relatively healthy lunch. + one star for having beer.

I am always surprised how vacant this place is in the evening. I hope they do a great lunch rush, because every time I'm in there I'm one of maybe three patrons. And that's strange because the food is pretty darned good for a chain deli.
I love the Beer Cheese Soup. I love it even more when it's inside my baked potato. However my favorite stuffed potato is the Big Tex. A HUGE potato stuffed with BBQ, red onions, bacon and cheddar. Imagine BBQ AND BACON together! It's like I'm dreaming of all the bad-for-me meats in one place and that place is filled with cheese!
Their chili is pretty good, again my only reference point is from what I've had inside a potato. I really should branch out and try the sandwiches and salads. They always sound good...but I'm a creature of habit. And I'm in the habit of eating a heck of a lot of stuffed potatoes!
Prices are reasonable. Plenty of tables around 8 p.m. on a weeknight. Service is always oky dok, but it's one of those order and have a seat until your number is called delis.

Average to above average franchised deli. They have everything from salads, to "gourmet" sandwiches, pizza and soup. You order at the counter and are buzzed when your order is ready. The salads are the big winner here and everything else is hit or miss. I have had a couple sandwiches that are average and a soup that was alright, but today they had a special fire roasted veggie soup that was delicious with wonderful cilantro and pepper flavoring in a tomato based broth. Perfect for the strange freezing weather here in the Big D.
This is a good spot for lunch and huge, hearty salads. Quick service and better quality than many other delis. It beats Subway any day.
