Let me start out and say I love Baja Fresh. They have some of the best guacamole and their food is always nice and fresh. So why am I not jumping up and down now that I don't have to drive to Huntington Beach to get some? This location screws up my order a majority of the time, and the food never is fresh. Sure they make it to order, but the meat is old and dried out, and the lettuce is wilted and gross. The restaurant is also very small and seriously lacking in ambiance and decor. I seriously feel cursed, whenever a place I love finally opens up in this area it is never as good as the other locations. I'm sure that isn't true but it sure feels like it. The location in Seal Beach is a bit better, but not the best either.
Freaken Baja Fresh,
why do you have to mess up my order every single time I've come to order from you? I understand it is lunchtime .. and you're probably swamped with people from all walks of the world; people from nearby businesses, families shopping from costco, and just regular patrons from nearby schools. Even when you say my order back to me 2 TIMES, one at the register and one when you're handing me my food to go, you still mess it up. Even if its "no sour cream" or the particular "meat" on the order .. you end up messing up the food. I even stood there for 5 mins without acknowledgment before i realized I had left the money in the car only to come back later when theres a huge line. Your burritos, tacos are mediocre at best. The only thing worth going there is the crispy flour tortilla shell of the tostada. It's crispy and delicious. Maybe I should just ask for the tortilla shell by itself so the beans won't ruin it to mush from the tostada next time?
(wow, first to review Baja Fresh...yay...lol)
You'd think all Baja Fresh Mexican Grill restaurants are made equal? Well not this one. Okay, so this Baja Fresh restaurant is near by few large corporate companies such as Boeing, Arrowhead, Mitsubishi, and Mary Kay, but they don't have to jack up the price of their Baja steak burritos to $6.95 cents. I thought that is expensive. Including a small drink, you pay over $8 bucks for a meal. I'm complaining because I normally pay about $7 bucks for Baja Steak Burrito plus drink.
After you get rip off the first time, you get a receipt worth of $2 dollars off your next visit. The only catch is you have to complete a telephone survey to activate the coupon. I give it a 3 star because it's a buck expensive compare to most places I went to. So, how about the burrito? Dude, I felt I was eating charcoal. They over burned my beef. Ok, I'm exaggerating a bit. My steak in the burrito taste slightly crunchy and bitter. Maybe they'll get better as time goes by. This is a newly opened fast food restaurant.
