People that don't like awesome Mexican food either like boring food (food babies) or are just boring people.
Usually, everyone loves guacamole, chips, salsa and margaritas. They have OK guacamole. They have FANTASTIC chips and salsa. Good margaritas.
The restaurant is warm + cozy with an attentive staff. Huge portions. I ordered the moar moar mahi mahi fish tacos, which were....AMAZING.
I was told NOT to order the basil chicken enchiladas.
Valet parking.
We've been here about 20 times and really like this place. It's kinda a higher energy place (at least for us low energy people) so it's nice to come here ever so often. There are usually a bunch of drunk parties there, however they are not too rowdy but instead entertaining to watch in the bar area. If you get a seat in the restaurant area you will pretty much be away from the riff-raff.
Unlike most reviews I actually like the food. I think it's really good as a matter of fact. It's not like Lula Cocina Mexicana, but it definitely is good. My favorite is the Oaxaca skillets. Pipyan Verde is good.
The drinks are awesome. And they are priced well. You can get a Sauza 25 oz. Margarita for 15$. And trust me, they put like 3 shots in there.
Make sure you get a booth when you sit down, otherwise the experience will be different.
LOVE THIS PLACE! it's not about the food at Baja Cantina it's about the atmosphere . I've been showing up here more years then I would like to admit. And that is saying a lot considering some of the stuff I've seen and experienced there. I won't elaborate, I'll just leave it at that.
hummm I think it's margarita time!
I really like the food here. I have been going there for over 20 years. The chips are very good-just enough salt. I like the shredded beef tacos, one crispy and one soft. The prices are reasonable as well. The parking can be busy and so is the wait but it's worth it.
3.5 stars. Baja Cantina, like it's Cabo Cantina brothers, is not about great Mexican food. It's about cheap booze. Happy hour is pretty good - a bunch of $3 beers, $5 margaritas, and $5 food. Plus, a couple times when I've been there, they've had waitresses walking around with free quesadillas. Oh yeah and every Thursday is free tequila tasting - as much as you want! Football Sundays, they have $25 for 6 Heinekens and 4 shots of Jaeger. Yeah, that's right, you can get wasted here for not much money.
What I think gives Baja it's extra half star is the huge patio. You get to sit outside and listen to music under the open air, but they have some Mexican-themed walls up, so you don't have to look at a parking lot or cars driving by.
Oh yeah, of course, parking is kinda tight in the streets around here so you might have to valet.
It was half a year ago when the deserter (former guy friend from work who left town without notice to work, friends or his roommate) was still in my life that I stumbled into the Baja Cantina with a friend of his.
He insisted on taking me to dinner, but other places on the list of to-go's were already closed. We headed out on the quest of tasty noms to the Baja Cantina.
In my nerdiness I was brought back to many a scene in Star Wars and well was a bit disappointed that there were not aliens walking around. Perhaps a bit of booze would make the patrons turn colors... on second thought.. no.
As vice is rather nice, we took haven outside to the oasis where I might be able to partake in such while sipping on delightful margaritas.
We chatted about life, people watched, discussed relationships, and of course, debauchery.
Tacos were pretty good and there were always chips at the table. Waitresses were very attentive of our needs as well.
This is not a place where I would foresee meeting new people as I went on a weekday and it wasn't crowded, but for a little cozy quiet spot with a friend or someone you like or a group of people, this wouldn't be bad at all.
In fact, hmm I wonder if I can snag a certain Mr to go to this eventually. It's been awhile after all. Anyone else down for margaritas? /grin
I went here with some co-workers to celebrate a friend's birthday. We chose this place over the Cabo Cantina - our usual hangout, just a block away from here - just to see what it has to offer. At the end of it, I would say we weren't blown away. It was a mixed bag of good and not-so-good. Well, here's the lowdown:
The Good:
+ Way bigger and spacious than Cabo.
+ Plenty of seating with bigger tables to accommodate larger groups. They even have corner booths and an open patio with seating.
+ Free chips and salsa. You just go the chips dispenser fill up as much as you want!
+ Less crowded but a more diverse and mature (25+, working professionals) crowd.
+ Not as noisy due to the lesser crowds, so you can actually have some kind of a conversation.
The Not-so-Good:
- Drinks are a tad expensive than Cabo.
- For the extra buck, drinks aren't as strong.
- The house margaritas are made from a cheap tequila. We ended up with nasty headaches the next day even though none of us had ingested copious amounts of alcohol.
- The margaritas are served in a whiskey tumbler or juice glass that looks like the result of a one night stand between a champagne flute and a regular margarita glass. No beuno, I want my margaritas in an appropriate glass, that's half the fun of drinking margaritas for me!
- The chips, although free and unlimited, were not good. They were too thin and didn't seem like they were tortilla chips. The salsa was OK.
At the end of the evening, we all agreed that this was a great place to be for the atmosphere but only if they would let us get in the drinks from the Cabo! :)
self serve chips n salsa stand. need i say anything else? plenty of space to bring your friends. good atmosphere. decent happy hour.
Great atmosphere to hang out early on the weekend or late afternoon. Lots of drinks choices and tasty traditional Mexican appetizers. I was there to watch the Yankee game and have some drinks with some friends. The service was excellent and the crowd was fun.
ENDLESS CHIPS, DELICIOUS DINNERS AND THIRST QUENCHING MARGARITAS!
seat yourself, grab some chips, look at all the bimbos and surfers, OR go to the seated side for some privacy and enjoy any of their delicious dishes. Their tacos are awesome, their enchiladas are awesome and their salsa is amazing. Bean and rice are good too!
Some friends were in town and staying in MDR, and were not sure where to go. They had walked to Venice and seen this place, so decided to give it a try.
Friday night, about 715pm. The parking is sparce, but there is valet. Nice touch. (let them worry about it). Place looks packed, as a lot of people sitting outside. Go to the hostess and she seats our party of 4 right away. (love that!) The atmosphere is great. Funky interior, and nice vibe.
We ordered a number of different things. Couple of burritos, and a couple of bowls. The chips are great, and good salsa. Plus they provide hot sauces on the table to add more fire to them.
Drinks - We ordered the Cadillac, which was made with bar brand tequila? We realized when the waitress asked if we wanted another tequila (I thought Cadillac meant it was "top shelf"). Then there were options on the size. (we got the medium for the first, and the small for the second - the amount of booze must be the same ... because the small was very strong)
The food came and was great. Well prepared, and tasty.
We did get them to bring us a Lava cake for a birthday too. Very well done, and even a small scoop of ice cream on top.
Came here last night for drinks with a group of 7 and had the same server - really wish I got her name because she's GREAT and totally on top of her game. I had the blended mango and pomegranate margaritas ($7 each) - super yummy and sweet, but deliver a punch.

Wow! I have been coming here with my family when we're in the area for at least 6 years...
I love the atmosphere of this place- lots of nooks and crannys to sit either a date or a big party, endless warm chips with amazing salsa, strong drinks, and great food.
Can't speak for all the food, as we only tried chile rellenos and tamales- and came back 3 more times for these 2 items during our stay as we were so pleased.
I'll use a catch phrase to describe this place: It is what it is! It is not the place to go if you are looking for good Mexican food. In fact, the food is average at best. But, the beers are cold and the endless chips (self serve, natch) are pretty convenient. A great place for a group of friends to take tequila shots on a week night or Saturday afternoon.
Bad: Don't use the valet, just park on the street unless it is Saturday or Sunday when things get crazy down there. Also, they have a cheeseburger and fries on the menu- at a Mexican restaurant. Need I say more?
Score: During the summer on Wednesday nights they have drink and food specials as well as live music. I stumbled upon it (and out, weird) last night with friends from work and we were pleasantly surprised to find a live band (they weren't bad!) playing until 9:30 ish. They also offer 2 tacos for 3 dollars (the marinated carnitas and regular carnitas were best). Beach attire and flip flops welcome, this place is definitely on the casual side!
This is the only place where you can go and get margaritas as big as your head. The food was typical "Mexican" bar food, which tastes alright with the giant margaritas. I also had a mango margarita, which was fantastic because it was not syrupy.
I went here to watch the Super bowl with a couple of friends. The food was really good and the Margaritas (on the rocks) were strong enough. The service was kind of slow and you have to get your own chips and salsa.
Maybe it's because I'm not into football and people were being loud that I really didn't get too into this place too much. I will definitely go back to see if it deserves a better rating.
DAMN!
This place is gross.
I have two sugestions for my fellow yelpers. Either (1) you eat before you go, and have drinks, or (2) you have drinks (lots of them) before you eat the food.
EVERYTHING I have tried at Baja Cantina thus far has been substandard, wanna-be Mexican-inspired fare. And let me mention it is so half-assed it makes no sense. Dry chicken wings, frozen jalapeno and cream cheese poppers, flavor-less beef taquitos, blackened-over spiced chicken flautas, cardboard quesadillas. Everything lacked any kind of effort.
I guess I learned the hard way that Baja Cantina is just a bar, that serves bar snacks. Bottom line---don't go there hungry. Go with the intention of getting loaded, and hooking up, because the weekends are a full on meat market. Holla!
On the plus side, the setting is nice. Outdoor patios, open air bar. Nice beach ambience.
8 dolla
8 dolla
8 dolla guacamole!
No-no-no...that Subway jingle just doesn't go and these prices do not fly with my wallet for "Mexican" food.
Thank god it at least tasted like I paid for something good enough. However, there was too much, what is that, cumin? in the salsa though? And the chips were good. So, 2 out of 3 on the chips & salsa is alright. I could have made a better guac for $8...easier on the tomatoes and more on the avo.
BC has your typical festive decor & Fatty & I sat inside because it was blazing hot out without shade, but it was still outdoors-ish feeling on the inside. We were here for lunch on a weekday and it wasn't that crowded. I ordered the carne asada taco combo plate with chicken chimichanga, black beans, & rice. Fatty got the steak & chicken fajitas with refried beans and rice.
Of course, Fatty devoured his meal and I ate too many chips beforehand and only consumed about half of my meal. It was pretty good and our service was alright but we had to wait a little for the check while our server was working on his disappearing act.
It's Wednesday, buddy, one of us has to get back to work and the other has to go hang out with crack addicts at the dog park in Venice.
Although our meal was pretty decent, I wasn't diggin on our bill. It's places like these that make me so appreciate the holes-in-the-walls....or even the $5 footlongs....hmmmm...
Good standby withing walking distance of Venice pier and canals. Indoor/outdoor feel is welcoming and Baja-style. Food is decent and drinks great and a lively bar during football games. Our server was excellent sourcing us fresh made tacos right from the press to the grill hot. There's better Mexican for sure but there are other tangibles that yield 4 stars.
I've been eating at the Baja Cantina for longer then I remember... Fond memories of warm chips and salsa and great food linger in my mind. Recently for father's day I took my pops out to lunch along with the rest of the family. It's been a while since I've been there but as soon as we walked into the door it felt like home! We were quickly seated outside in the covered patio. The chips and salsa was great as usual and I ordered the two hard taco combo plate along with a negra modelo.
The food arrived fairly quickly and was delicious!! In the past, I've spent a ton of money on ordering shots or enjoying their famous margaritas but since this was a family event we kept it at one beer. In general the service is always really prompt and the severs are always friendly!
Besides the restaurant, the Baja Cantina is a great place to enjoy a couple drinks and apps in the bar area. The chips are self serve and the environment is very chill.
This place has been around forever. I used to live on Venice Beach several years ago, can't believe I never had been inside Baja until last night. It always looked so crazy crowded, I stayed away.
But my friend goes there all the time & suggested we meet up for Friday happy hour (4-7).
At 4:30 the place was peaceful. I snagged a seat on a couch just inside the front entrance to wait for my companion. It was so comfy I coulda taken a nap right there......if I'd had a blanket. The sun was disappearing and it was getting chilly, and Baja is indoor-outdoor.....the doors are flung open and most of the many different rooms adjoin open-air patios.
I posted photos of some of the memorabilia suspended from the ceiling, and also some of the colorful dining & drinking areas in the restaurant.
We had a happy happy hour indeed. Vodka & soda was really cheap, because for 40 bucks we drank a crapload of them and had food as well.
My date likes the skewers so that's what we ate. We had some with chicken and a couple with shrimp. http://www.yelp.com/bi...
They include chunks of bell pepper, onion, and the best whole bbq'd mushrooms I ever tasted.
The chicken was overcooked but the shrimp were great. But the mushrooms stole the show, juicy, bursting with flavor. They inspired a conversation in fact: we talked about how raw mushrooms are boring & tasteless, and sauteed mushrooms can also be somewhat uneventful. But put 'em on a BBQ and you will be amazed.
And help yourself to Baja's complimentary chips & salsa, by the front door. Just fill up a basket & carry it to your table. We ate a lot of that, too.
If you park in Baja's lot it is valet only. The surrounding residential streets offer spaces too, and I got real lucky to find a spot just around the corner from Baja's entrance. But that was at 4:15, and as the place filled up I have a feeling the streets did as well. Good luck to all the folks who live in that 'hood.
So the happy hour rocked, overall. Good cheap drinks, decent food, very cool surroundings. I never had to wait in any line at the ladies room, and they did set up some heaters to counteract the chill.
We sat at Baja for hours, talking up a storm. Then we headed a few doors closer to the pier to Hinano and shot a few games of pool.
The bar gets 4 stars but the evening gets at least 5. There's no doubt we'll be getting to know each other better. Me & Baja Cantina, I mean....
; )
Some things are built for comfort...and some for speed. It's rare that you find something with a lil' of both - but I must say, tres cheers for Baja Cantina - its a rare hybrid.
Comfort: Having a chilly day on the west side? Sit inside, have a drink and enjoy the broken-in, slightly-random-yet-inviting couches and leather barcaloungers. Want to soak in some sunshine while sucking down your margarita? Sit outside on the patio, where there is just enough shade or sunshine depending on your mood - muy bueno.
Speed: The service was quick, courteous and pleasant. Our waitress had us set up with chips, salsa and guac before we'd even decided upon our cocktails of choice. And happy hour? It starts at 4pm, Monday through Friday, with drinks of all kinds for $3. Can I get an ole?!
Why shy of five stars you ask? The food isn't their strong suit - the drinks are the main attraction. But have enough of their delicious cocktails and you will be counting your lucky estrellas that you can order a few tacos that will be served faster than you can say "muchas gracias."
At first glance, Baja Cantina has all the looks of a sweet, chill oceanside dive/cantina bar like the Whaler or On The Waterfront. But once you step inside the carnival ride starts to sour.
The fish tacos still give me nightmares. I mean, even after nuking the ever-loving crap out of those poor, helpless tilapia (or whatever they were), and seasoning & blackening them to try and hide the taste, these were still super-fishy. Wahoo is rolling over in his grave (wait, is he dead yet?) All the other food around me looked super-gringo'd out and terrible as well.
And maybe I caught it on a bad day but the clientele has a very high douchebag factor. The Lindsay Lohan/Zac Effron wanna-be crowd. Someone forgot to tell these people they're on the West Side. Chillax.
Stick to Whaler, Hinano, etc.
Originally from Texas, currently in Boston. While in LA, I wanted some good Mexican food. I know it's not going to be as good as Tex-Mex, but I'm suffering from withdrawal as I refuse to eat Mex anything in Boston.
This place was recommended for Cali Mex food. It was more important to find a place to catch up with friends, but I wanted to satisfy my Mex hunger as well. We sat out on the patio since the weather was nice. By nice, I mean it was maybe in the 50's, yet the patio had several heaters spread out around it.
Plenty of complimentary chips and salsa. One pair ordered the fish tacos, which apparently was not on the menu, but they were able to accommodate. My sis and I got a couple of the enchilada dishes. My chicken and mango ones were ok. Kinda dry and stingy with the mangos. Liked the Spanish rice and black bean sides that came with the entree.
Service was good, prompt, and the waitress offered to take photos for our group when she saw me snapping away at my food. Parking's a little difficult, there's valet or you find a spot in the neighborhood.
Their fajitas are served sizzling and absolutely delish! The ambience is fun, ultra casual and definitely a local hangout. Watch out for the Margaritas, the bartenders seem to have pretty heavy hands every time I've gone there! haha
The endless chips and salsa are basically amazing...I could eat them all night!
The name says it all, Cantina. My friend and I were driving down from Alaska(drove the whole way) and visiting one of my friends in Marina. We were strolling in the sunshine and were drawn into this place. The margaritas make you feel like an infant, and the cantina is like like a giant mother nursing you with her giant lime-tequila filled breasts. I got some fish tacos but they weren't so great. Fun place to go and get your friends drunk, sit out on the patio and catch some gamma rays.
Plus the street address is 311, so they automatically rock no matter what.
Baja Cantina is a great spot to go for Happy Hour or a few drinks on the weekend after spending the day at the beach. They have a large outdoor patio area that is great and always packed in the summertime. Drinks are reasonably prices and they also have a decent menu of food items. I have had the BBQ Chicken Salad and Chicken Burrito and have to say that I was impressed with both. For a bar/grill the food is better than average and the portions are huge. Definitely a very laid back, unpretentious Venice atmosphere. Plus unlimited free chips & salsa!
Self-serve AYCE salsa and chips sounds pretty amazing right? The chips are actually pretty good (they're covered in some kind of chili-lime powder) but the salsa is just mediocre (I prefer my salsa HOT HOT HOT) and comes in little plastic take-out style cups. The real deal here at Baja (NOT to be confused with the much more obnoxious and younger Cabo) is the Don Julio margarita. $8 for Blanco, $10 for Reposado, $12 or $14 (I can't remember) for Anejo and $22 for 1942 these margies come served in a cute little metal Don Julio shaker that you get to keep and you better believe those drinks are strooooooooong. Yum! I know it's a total marketing ploy and those shakers probably cost them next to nothing to give out but hey, relax, it's fun, and it's even more fun for everyone at the table to get them and shake them all together before pouring them into the glasses. Much more exciting than a standard toast and glass clink don't ya think?
I didn't get a chance to check out the food menu but sitting here looking at it now I want to go back to try some of the apps and the quesadillas.
You get to seat yourself in the bar and outside patio area and it's up to you if you want some shade or if you're more into soaking up some rays...they'll move the umbrellas for you at your request. The waitresses were all extremely friendly and *normal* without some of that LA attitude you so frequently encounter...but then again, this is Marina del Rey and the beach so everyone is in a good party-time mood!
On your way out the door make sure to stop for some candies. Aside from the regular peppermints and sugar candies they also have other peppermint-esque candies that are purple or green instead of red and taste fruity.
*** perhaps the best LA sports bar located near the beach. ***
it's got 25 tvs, it's got an open patio, it's gotta fireplace ... 5-star.
it's got decent food, it's got no flat screen, it's a lil pricey ... 3-star.
*** wanna see a game, grab a bite, hit the beach ... it's your place. ***
Alright, no doubt the food is substandard and inconsistent. I've been going to Baja Cantina for many years and the food never gets better.
The key to Baja Cantina are their drinks. They are strong and you will certainly get a good buzz going. It's also one of the best people watching bars in the whole area. Sunday afternoon, there could be a line to get in the bar. They have a huge outdoor patio for you nasty smokers.
All in all, this is the place to have cocktails, people watch (babe watch) and if your buzzed enough, try the food, it will taste better buzzed.
Bartenders - Big Mike and Mike D get a five star for their drinks...... Hammer Time!!!
I love good Mexican food. Gooey cheese, refried beans cooked with lard, carne asada and tortillas fresh off the grill...my mouth is watering just thinking about it.
This isn't the place to get that, but it's a good, ultra casual place to hang out, have a margiarita or two, or three and have good conversation. The chips and salsa are serve yourself and free and the dishes are descent, but not, "oh my god, I just wet myself" see the difference?
Tonight we had the tostada bites which were three mini corn tortillas fried and topped with black beans, guac, sour cream, pico de gallo, cheese and your choice of meat. Not bad, but when it all came it it was kinda cold and soggy.
We also ordered the jalapeno poppers. They were fried to a golden brown and topped with cheddar cheese and served with the customary ranch dressing and salsa. These satisfied my popper craving, however, I wished they were a little spicy.
The margaritas are really good, but watch out you may end up on the floor because they are strong.
Seems like this place was lucky enough to get the set designer for the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disney Land to snazzy up the place, or so it seems. Really, what's with the Tom Sawyer decor?
Its a good place to get beers with a large group, and that's pretty much it. The food is drunk food - nothing you'd want to be sober for.
If youre looking to get tanked, I'd imagine this would be a good place. But if you're looking for grub, there are a zillion billion gajillion better Mexican places in LA.
I'd like to add that the waitresses seemed like they were pretty nice. Slow, but nice. And by slow I am referring to both the time it took to get a drink and IQ.
Small little joint located near the ocean in Marina Del Rey. Upon entering this place it will surely welcome and embrace you with a big surfer love shack hug! Surfer items and knick knacks just like a TGIF's interior decor but themed towards the beach feel. Surfboards, framed pictures of Gigdet hunks posed with their boards, straw hats and all sorts of other objects to keep your eyes occupied the entire time there.
We came here during an all night happy hour (special engagement) and drinks / appetizers were discounted. Priced reasonable. Our party ordered several different types of drinks. I, personally had ordered a total of 3 red bull vodkas and each one, no doubt, very strong. Which of course could be a good thing or........a bad thing. Is the glass half full or half empty? I guess it's how you perceive the situation. But, in my case the bartenders know how to take care of you here at Baja Cantina.
Baja Cantina has (2) full bars, an indoor / outdoor seating area and free nachos near the entrance! I know, I saw an elderly lady doing a self serve right into her bowl. Now, don't be fooled. This place may feel small from the outside, but there is plenty of seating. There are heat lamps out in the patio areas. So not to worry, you will be warm and toasty! And as for the women's restroom. Picture a public train station with 80's silk floral arrangements. Toilets were "meh." If you had to use it, use it. But, it's not a pretty sight to see if you ask me.
Based on previous yelp reviews this place seems to only be great as a happy hour spot. Go for drinks, not for food type of place. I'm sure, I should give it another try and see how the food and service goes. We'll see and I shall submit an updated review at a later time. But aside from the drinks this place was A-OK. Nothing big, but definitely offers bang for your buck!
The food here sucks ass! I wouldn't come back. The waiter was really nice though. Oh well...
One more reason I'm cranky about this place is that I chipped my tooth by biting the fork when I started laughing and I'm really pissed off!!!!!!!! :(
Um lets see....cool location (check)...Mexican food (check)...alcohol (check)....but thats where the buck stops. I felt really silly asking our server for chips and salsa when she replies, "um, yeah, help yourself up front"....what?! I have to fetch my OWN chips n salsa? Its funny because right after she pointed that out, all I could see were people walking back and forth with baskets of chips. I went to get them and of course, I couldnt find 'em, then there were no baskets (ahhh!!! somebody wake me from this nightmare!!!!!) ...it was in an akward location to being with. Right at the front entrance so you have to scoop your chips right next hungry folks waiting in line to be seated. Believe me, you sure appreciate your food a lot more when you have to get it yourself :)
Anyway, the marg's were pretty weak..or Im an alchy, not sure which one. But they were small and overpriced at $7! My salad was pretty lame only becus it wasnt pre mixed with the dressing and they only bring out one little cup. I asked for another side and she never brought it. Oh wait, yes she did, when I was FINISHED eating it!! Big chunks of chicken and papaya so that was nice. All in all, there was a great crowd that night and I did have fun. From the looks of everyone elses plates, the food is good, its typical and serves its purpose. I will surely come again, but I will order differently and I will grab my chips n salsa before I sit down!
Cool decor, great atmosphere for partying, very lively. Decent chips and salsa. Terrible shrimp dish. Totally farmed and salted with iodine. If you are looking for a late afternoon into night fun drinking session, go there. If you are looking for great mexican food, try elsewhere.
This place has been there for AGES!!!. After being away from LA for 18 years. this place continues to breathe.. This was the last place on my pub/bar crawl the other day.. I used to come here after wednesday night sailing racing from the California Yacht Club.. hungry, cold and warn out.. Big Portion Mexican food.. yes. a long time agooo.. One does come here for their BAR, margarita drinks and outdoor ambience.. one of the few places to smoke and drink in LA. i think. besides Tiki Ti... Didnt have my cuban cigars the other day.. but next time.. I will bring a vintage cigar and enjoy smoke and drinks on a cool So. Calif night.. Actually, someone was smoking some medical weed the other night at the patio.. and wasnt sharing....Hey its Venice Beach. Anyway.. we had good service, good drinks.. and next time.. will try their food ..
I love coming here on weekends when I want to have a margarita in the middle the day and just chill w/ some great Mexican food.
The outside patio is the best spot to sit, but there are usually no tables on the weekends since this can get pretty packed.
The manager is pretty cool too. Just an example, I went there last night in hopes to watch the Affliction - Day of Reckoning fight, but to my disappointment, the bar wasn't playing it. I made plans to hop to another bar, but before I did, the manager was nice enough to offer a round of drinks to my friends and I for the inconvenience. So nice.
This place has become my regular spot and whenever I have friends in town visiting, I always bring them here as part of their LA experience.
Best Mexican food in West LA! I'd give it 4.5 stars
Fun atmosphere- there's firepits outside, happy hour. Huge patio. Great to grab beer and margaritas with friends before hitting the beach! Veryy chill place! Salsa is good too yum! College crowd comes here a lot. One prob- parking here sux.
The drinks are okay but the parking spot is really what you pay for...on the weekends you grab a few margarita's and just leave your car with the valet as you take a stroll to the beach. a great singles spot...not so much. every time i've been there people seem to be very group oriented. the guacamole is amazing and free chips/salsa is even cooler. not a big fan of the food which is why it gets just 3 stars.
