Quaint little winery, no frills but very nice people and great wine. We visited Bainbridge for the day on a Seattle vacation and had to check out the winery.
We did the tasting for about $4 or $5 and they were out of the raspberry wine. I didn't mind because I dislike very sweet wine, but my friends were kind of bummed. The wines we did taste were delightful and reasonably priced. And the labels are little works of art!
Of our group, I think I spent the most which was only about $60 for 3 bottles, the majority of that was on a fantastic bottle of pinot noir. The Ferryboat wine seemed pretty popular amongst our little group and even pleased me and my general distaste for whites. And they offer discounts on multiple bottles which is always great!
The biggest disappointment - we had to take a cab to the place and the fare seemed like extortion. We paid over $40 for a round trip that couldn't have been more than 12-13 miles total. Not the winery's fault of course, but it would seem like kind of a deterrent to a lot of tourists and we easily would have spent more on the great wine if we hadn't dropped so much cash on the cab fare.
Wish we could have caught the tour, but I think that they only do it once a week. Sadly, my amazing wines remain unopened still 2 months after my winery trip. I don't want to open them because I can't get that wine around here and I want to save it for something special! Hopefully something special will be soon because I'm dying to crack open a bottle!
A very quaint little winery...don't expect a "napa valley" type of winery. Just a small room w/the tasting area, a glass case filled w/antiques and their stacked bottles of wines. You only pay $3 to taste any 4 of their wines (10 total). They're all SO GOOD, especially if you like sweet wine (dessert wine - Raspberry & Siegerrebe and a white table wine which had a bit of sweetness but not too overpowering - the Ferryboat White).
Very charming place & people! The owners were so very friendly, they actually were doing the pouring. Will definitely come back for the tour (which they do on Sunday afternoons).
And on a side note, I bought the Raspberry Dessert wine and shared it w/the boy who bought very good quality chocolate to go with it and oh my, I was in heaven! If you aren't close to Bainbridge, they may have it at your local grocery store. Try 'em out, you won't be dissapointed!

This is definitely a charming winery. When you drive onto the property you're confused if you are at a farm or a winery. The tasting room is more like a quarky antique store. There are $1 trays and grab bags for the kiddies. I know nothing about antiques, but I'm sure there is a treasure or 2 in there.
On to the wines. The wines were good. I was most impressed with their table wine and dessert wines. I walked out with a bottle of their raspberry wine (great with some drak chocolate truffles) and a bottle of the ferry boat table wine (slightly sweet). They do offer unique German wines that are not found at many wineries. There grapes are estate grown, so worth the stop if you are in the area.
Tasting fee is $3.
TIP: Watch out or Pinot might get your toes.

This is an exquisite winery you have to visit when in the area. It's family owned and there's a beautiful picnic area in the garden. Plus, they have a wine glass museum that's just too fun to browse in.
I saw their wines on a local tv show recently. Beautiful labels.
