My two Astorian buddies dragged me here tonight. I've passed it many times, but this was my first time eating here.
First thought - bustling takeout business. Good for them! Second, the place lacks charm, but it's super clean and well-kept. Seemingly short-staffed (I counted only three employees), but they get the job done.
The food - overall, fantastic! Seaweed salad is fresh and balanced. Miso is slightly above average (but could've used a bit more salt). I had the bento dinner box. Everything was great. Only two small issues. First, the "green salad" was simply iceberg lettuce. Second, the terryaki (i had shrimp) left much to be desired. Otherwise, it's a great deal. My dining buddies both had a few types of roles. The Bai role is EXCELLENT.
Lastly, red bean fried ice cream is a MUST. MUST MUST I say.
$62 total for the three of us and we were all happy and full. I'll be back (and perhaps getting delivery as well).
i've only had delivery, and pretty much the same items, so i am definitely a fan. the cucumber wrapped roll is delish! HUGE, but delish.

p.s. always make sure the dude on the other hand knows whether you're asking for maki rolls or hand rolls. someitmes they really just assume you're getting the hand rolls.
really good, fresh sushi. large rolls, friendly service, laid back atmosphere. delivery is always timely.
good location, cheap prices! just quick and easy, thats it.
I'm not too picky when it comes to sushi, but this place has great food - delicious plum wine, tasty avocado and eel rolls and attentive service.
Great sushi but the lunch portions are small.
