This is my favorite pizza place in DC. You can get a slice of cheese for $3.00, a piece of pepp for 3.50.  The by-the-slice pizza is a great option if you want a cheap bite to eat late-night. The pizza is 10,000,000 times better than anything from Jumbo Slice or any of that crap.

The gourmet pizza is definitely on the expensive side but is delicious and you can tell it's made with fresh ingredients. The guys that work here are top notch and very friendly.

Try it. Live it. Love it.

Ordered from them off of Campus Food.  After 75 minutes I called and they told me they changed their name and no loner take online orders.  When I asked if they had told Campus Food yet they hung up on me.  Terrible and do not recommend.

Terrible! And they overcharged me. This will be the roughest review I've done.

Wow, I wish I had of read Yelp reviews before ordering. This place is awful.

    Pizza
Quite possibly the worst I have ever had. Almost no cheese, no sauce, no edge crust and no flavor. Seriously, I understand artisan pizza but please, you have to put at least a handful of cheese on a margherita pizza. They also sprinkled one type of spice (not fresh I don't think) all over the pizza in a very odd way.

I think 7Eleven pizza may be better. I would take Ellios over this any day.

    Mozzerella Sticks
Oh my, these were worse than pizza. They were definately from the grocery store or a box. They were not even warmed up, and when I warmed them up I wish I had of just thrown them out.

Seriously, this place is a joke and obviously run by people that don't care or don't know any better. Never again will I order from this place.

    Overcharged
They charged me like $2 more than they should have and that was with my 10% coupon. Seriously the menu I have is from yesterday and prices are listed.

Stay away. Let this one die a slow painful one. May be harsh, but seriously natural selection has it's purposes from time to time.

I will start this review by explaining that I am a pizza snob.  I do not come from these parts and finding good pizza here might be harder then advanced statistics.

Buffalo La Pizzeria dropped a menu under my door and I thought I would give them a chance.  Clearly some kinks need to be worked out.

The delivery took over an hour and twenty minutes.  Our pizza arrived luke warm at best and I was clearly the last drop off by the delivery guy.

As far as flavor it was alright, I would have liked to try it when it was hot.  I might give them another chance if I order two hours before I am hungry.  It is also really over priced.  Do not try to order a large pizza because their large is 18 inches and will run you close to 20 bucks.

I really don't want to be someone who only reviews a place that is bad. After this one, I'll be sure to also review someplace that was good/great.

I had a taste for mozzarella sticks and so we sifted through many carry-out menus and decided to go with Buffalo La Pizzeria. It was rainy so delivery was necessary. The sticks were cold and seemingly uncooked. Also, got some buffalo wings to go w/them. They were cold and seemingly uncooked. How gross! I guess its partly my fault for not going some place tried and true. Needless to say, this menu went into the garbage along w/most of the food. Completely disappointed.

Also, Yelp should seriously consider a no-star rating. As, now knowing that this was just a place that changed names, I wouldn't even go in to use the bathroom.

This delicious pizza will work your taste buds into a trance (that's a good thing).  In a sea of jumbo, Baffetto's keeps it O.G. with a regular cut slice.  I've had friends visit from Connecticut and order the 'to's twice in a weekend -- leaving with legitimate concerns that DC may have better pizza than New Haven.  The owner and staff are all very friendly, and the sandwiches are also quite good (made from pizza dough).

It's more expensive than Pizza Boli's but you're paying for quality.  I prefer their cheese pie.

And remember: Please eat safely, always order ranch and parmesan with your pizza.

I live across the street so Baffetto's has been the convenient stop for a few alcohol-induced late night visits. The pizza at Baffetto's is average, it is always a little too salty for me, which I can't understand why. Too much salt in the tomato sauce maybe? What I like about Baffetto's pizza was that they would heat your slice up for you, which Alberto's nor Pizza Mart does.

I have also tried the turkey pesto sandwich, which is pretty good. The pesto is homemade and the turkey is 99% fat free. The sandwich is big with lots of good lettuce inside (think a mesclun mix). They also put the sandwich in a panini press so it's perfectly gooey and hot when you get it.

The pizza here is good but man is it expensive.  I got a large pizza with one topping delivered last night and it was $28- before tip!  Hands down the most expensive pizza I've ever had in my entire life- including both Los Angeles and New York City.

As for the pizza, I really can't complain.  The dough is fresh and you can choose from multiple sauces.  The pepperoni was good-tasting and not too oily.  The pizza came in about 40 min, and was still nice and hot.  The crust is slightly thicker than your average thin crust pizza.  It was very similar to Radius Pizza in Mt. Pleasant.

Overall, the food is better than Duccini's, which is less than a block away and delivers to the same neighborhoods.  However, for about $12 less per pizza, I'm going to stick with Duccini's.  If you have a coupon, go to Baffetto's, otherwise save your money and go elsewhere.

Quoted 35 minutes for delivery, took over an hour.   Pizza is just fair, if not mediocre - not even close to paradiso, 2 amy's or CPK.  More like old, stale cafeteria pizza.  Not particularly flavorful, on fairly crappy crust and not generous with the toppings.

But Baffettos is as good as any other delivery pizza in the Dupont area [Update: No its not.  Italian Pizza Kitchen is the only acceptable delivery joint]. Further, they were only half an hour late - which puts them ahead of the curve by a lot for DC (which, in turn, says an awful lot about DC itself, IMO).  Note: A "large" is a LOT bigger than an extra large at most other places (guessing between 20-24") and costs more too (a 2 item thin crust was over $30).  They dont mention this on the phone.

Placed a delivery order a couple of weeks ago, based on the solid reviews.  We ordered a meatball sub, mozarella sticks, and spinach and feta triangles.

The meatball sub was absolutely awful.  The meatballs were inedible and the sauce tasted like it came out of a jar about 6 months ago.  The mozarella sticks, which I thought were impossible to screw up, weren't even cooked.  They were chalky, which is a texture that must be hard to accomplish when frying cheese.  Once we cooked them they turned out okay, but you should not have to cook food that is delivered to you.  The "spinach and feta trianges" were good, except there was no feta involved at all.  It was a spinach and mozarella calzone.  No triangles.

I would never order from this place again.

I switch between this place and Duccini's for delivery.  I think I always say I have a coupon for a large one-topping pizza for 8.99.  If sauce is a big thing for you, this place does it right.  You can choose either a traditional--chunkier and nice and sweet, the spicy--a little too many red pepper flakes and not as flavorful, and I think the garlic or white, which i never get.

I know this is blasphemy to some folks, but for the price, i'd almost take this pie over Two Amy's, and certainly over Pizza Paradiso.

However one drawback is that if you don't have a coupon(which you don't physically HAVE to have anyway) and want to get a 5 topping Large pizza, it's going to turn into a 18 dollar rip-off real quick.

I've eaten at Baffetto's twice (both trips were months apart) and would say it is probably the worst of the pizza places in Adams Morgan (Pizza Mart is far far superior). As far as jumbo slice places, they don't even compare to the crappy ones on U St. The worst thing about the pizza is the doughy crust. It has an undercooked taste/texture to it which just makes it awful. I don't know what the problem is with so many DC pizza places that don't know how to make a decent crust. It infuriates me to get a whole pizza and then not want to eat it because the crust tastes raw and disgusting. Other places that suffer from the same problem: Angelico and Duccini's.

I actually Love Love Love Baffetto's white pizza (like a gourmet version of Gumby Sticks) but the service sucks and it's very expensive.  I'd call ahead if you plan to do take out as it takes quite a while.

Seriously, if you have $15 to spare and are in a patient mood, the white pizza is amazing.  Everything else is just OK.

For delivery, these guys can't be  beat.  They're very prompt, and the delivery guys have always been very friendly.  Their pizza prices are pretty standard, although a little pricey when you start customizing pizza, but they have a lot of varieties and many vegetarian-friendly options, which is great for my boyfriend and I.  I'm a huge fan and we eat pizza from Baffetto's way more than we should!

I am in meatball sub heaven.  I don't know what the backstory is on this pizza joint, I've never even seen it in person, but they make the best meatball sub I've had since I moved to DC almost 5 years ago.  The subs and calzones are huge!  and moderately priced.  I think my sub was 7 bucks and delicious!  It comes on a round sub roll with the perfect amount of seasoning and spices.  They do pizza also, though I still haven't tried it.  Finally there's a pizza joint in Adams Morgan that sober people can actually enjoy.

Yummy pizzas and calzones.  I usually don't eat pizza crusts but I Baffetto's crust is good!  My favorite is the portabella mushroom pizza with spinach and roasted red peppers.  The Italian calzone with prosciutto, pepperoni, and genoa salami was also very good.  Delivery was speedy and my pie arrived hot!  Looks like I found my neighborhood pizza joint!

Really good pizza with lots of interesting topping choices. I like the thin crust - it's actually like a thin regular crust. The roasted garlic is buttery and delicious and the artichokes are fresh and yummy. I thought it was much better than Duccinis.

This is a reasonable pizza for delivery.  It's not outstanding, but as pizza delivered to your door go, it's OK: a notch above Domino's.

I certainly would not compare this to New Haven pizza.  It's not New York-style thin crust (the crust is not thin and not crispy).  It's not anywhere near as good as some of the very best NY-style pizza I've had, so don't get your hopes up too high.  But it's not bad.  You won't feel terrible.

I used to come here all the time, and the owner was there making the pizza and chattin' up the customers.  Well I just picked up a slice tonight and it was awful.  Very stale, chewy-too-much-moisture crust, old sauce.  I think it must have been out since last night.  No one in there looked the same, and the store was re-arranged, so I'm thinking the original owner sold out.  Avoid this place.  They don't care what they sell.

EXCELLENT VEGGIE PIZZA!!! SO refreshing to find a pizza place where the vegetarian options are as good, if not BETTER than the carnivore options :)  They're not wonderful over the phone, but they did remember me and give me 2 free desserts after messing up my order once.  Just make sure you get the guy who knows how to use the register and speak english, otherwise you may end up with buffalo wings ON your pizza...

My husband and I used to order from Buffalo La Pizzeria on occasion for their good pizzas and yummy spinach feta trianngles.  Never again.  The last couple times though the food has been HORRIBLE.  Feta Triangles??  They used to be wonderful golden traingles filled with a tasty feta/spinach filling and dusted with parmesean.  Not anymore.  Now it's overly thick and soggy calzone dough filled with a pittance of flavourless cheese and spinach.  The Italian pizza (basically a meat lovers) had chewy, tasteless sausage and overly salty ham.  The 'Chicken Breast Sandwich was a total disaster.  The 'chicken breast'  was chopped up bits of hard poultry.  It did have a red sauce and cheese but they seemed to forget the roasted red peppers, onions, lettuce or mayo.  My husbands sandwich had salami which was nearly inedible due to how hard and thick it was.  With all of the choices in our area for amazing pizzas and more-than-decent sandwiches, Buffalo La Pizzeria will not be taking any of our money ever again.

Quite simply the best pizza in DC.  The ingredients are fresh and the toppings go way beyond what you find in the run of the mill pizza joints.  I would dare to apply the word, gourmet to their pizza, usually it's a misnomer for over priced rip off.  This is truly the best pizza I've had in DC.
