While this place exists in a mecca of badminton courts, the location is not the most ideal place to bring your large group of friends to get together and hit and have fun. Badminton Center Court of El Monte is really where you join a family to learn and have fun! Here at this facility, you have the option to practice with fellow students, train with the local coaches and purchase badminton equipment for very affordable prices! People of all ages do gather and participate in the training so age is definitely not a factor.
Coach Andy (Also known as Monkie) and his team of assistants are very warm and will definitely assist you with any concerns regarding badminton and the equipment offerings that are there. What better way is there to learn an exciting sport, make friends and have fun (if I can't emphasize that enough) than to do it in a friendly, cozy environment where everyone, most especially the coaches, assist each other? You'll do more than learn and purchase here, you'll become a part of an exciting and fun family! -

I came to Badminton Center Court 'cuz I needed to buy shuttles, the facilitator was my goto guy for baddie equipment, but I didn't know he made it big and has his own retail equipment and court facility.
To be fair the place is a bit small, only two courts, no shower or comfortable seats to wait for court, so if I really wanted to come and play like a real club this wouldn't be my first choice.
It is however a very cozy hang out place where if you come more than once, everybody will know your name, perfect for small parties and mini-get-togethers. If you are a beginner looking to play badminton in a cozy friendly place, look no further. -

Badminton Center Court (BCC) sits in a very precarious place. It is surrounded by behemoth badminton courts that are heavily funded and staffed. So what can the little guy (no pun inteded) offer?
Loads. First its a family affair. Not just in ownership and management but in the community. The people that play there are all one big family. Monkie (Andy Tran) the owner does a great job of making sure you feel part of it. From dinner parties, to community car washes to local and non-local badminton tournaments, Monkie plays host to a myriad of events to help promote badminton, community, and camaraderie (BCC :P)
Now here-in lies the question. Is this the type of badminton you want to play, a communal game with great players that are interested in not only the enjoyment of the sport but in building it into a healthy ecosystem in Southern California.
My vote is a resounding yes. Take my story, I bought an annual membership to one of these "behemoth" clubs, used it for a month, came across BCC and have not gone back to the behemoth. Thats what happens @ BCC. -

Charge is super reasonable. You could reserve court to play with your friends or sign up for training.
Super nice flooring. Won't hurt your knee after you play a lot.
Lighting is great. People play there is very friendly.
You could purchase all kinds of badminton gear there including bag, birdie, racket, even your string job, too. -

very good facility, with very cheap and reasonable prices in terms of rackets, shoes, bags, pretty much anything you need to get started playing badminton. the area is very friendly, and the people there are great!
entrance fee is cheaper than in any other facility in the area, plus you get valuable tips and coaching while playing, which helps you improve as you go. its very hard to find the same service that is provided here in other places like SGVBC or LABC, and thats what makes the place really great. a must for the badminton enthusiast! -

This is a good place to learn badminton no matter what level you are. There are different levels of excellent training class you can sign up and play. Coach Monkie will always give you the best way to learn. Or, you can bring friends there play around just for fun. Unfortunately, there is no bathroom for you to take a shower after sweating. But over all it is a perfect place to meet up and make some friends!! =]

One of the best private courts. When you play there, it will be just you and your friends and won't be other people to disturb you. Furthermore, you can get good quality and price badminton gears there. You can also take group and private lessons there instructed by some of the best coaches around town.

The club feels like a home for badminton enthusiasts. When you play there, you are part of the family. People are friendly and the advance player may even give you some trainings if you ask. The owner comes out to play from time to time. You can really improve your badminton skills on this court!
