My wife and I have stayed in dozens of KOAs over the years, but this one is still one of our favorites. It's just outside Badlands NP, and we used this campground as a basecamp for visiting the Black Hills too. I'm big into value, and this place provides it. My wife and I tent, and try to travel light, so the food service was great for us. The all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast is a bargain and the indian tacos in the evening are very delicious! Perhaps our favorite thing about this campground is the setting. Peace and quiet, lots of shade trees, and the sunsets were amazing each night we were there. It's hard to imagine not having a great time at this place, and we can't wait to return!

Review from Julie K.
Milwaukee, WI
My boyfriend and I stayed here during our trip from Milwaukee to Boulder. We've never stayed at a KOA before but this one was great! We had our own little cabin (with air conditioning!) with a porch swing and parking spot. Everything was spaced out perfectly so that we couldn't hear other people nearby or anything. They have a pool, which was amazing to take advantage of at the end of a hot, sweaty day. They also have a kitchen that was surprisingly good. If you're vegetarian, be warned. We asked for our "Indian Taco" to not have meat and the cook must not have noticed the big note on our ticket, because we ended up accidentally eating almost half of it. This was a huge downer for us, since I've been vegetarian for about 9 years, but they made us a new taco and were very apologetic. Everyone was extremely nice and the price is definitely right considering their proximity to Badlands National Park. We took a look at some of the other campsites and motels near by, but none of them seemed as nice. We would definitely go back sometimes!

Review from Quinn E.
I am not someone who enjoys camping. I enjoy sleeping in a big bed at a hotel and having a private bathroom, preferably with a whirlpool tub. But I'm not made of freakin money! And I think it's good to step outside your comfort zone every so often. So I booked a campsite at this KOA when my friend and I were driving across the country. It was great! The bathrooms were clean, and it wasn't nearly as weird as I thought to walk over to the bathrooms to take a shower. It was just kind of like the dorm at college. Looking back on my trip, I kind of wish I had planned it better and stayed at KOAs all along the way. It was ridiculously cheap, especially when split with another person (like $10 each), you can charge your phone, use the WiFi and get the day started with a shower. I'd go back, for sure.
